EXPLOSIONS AND EXPLOSION HAZARD ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION

With the development of production and technology, explosion hazard has been paid more and more attention and has become one of the problems that can't be neglected among the research on hazard reduction. Explosion is a kind of sudden physical or chemical change with the release of motion and energy. Three kinds of explosions, namely physical explosion, nuclear explosion and chemical explosion, are briefly described. Explosion hazard analysis and evaluation are very effective methods for preventing explosion hazard. Some of these methods are also introduced, such as FTA, Dow and Mond Indices etc.
