| Abstract: | Investigations were made and soil samples were collected in 5 places in Southwest China with acid precipitation and 3 places with no acid precipitation. The relationship between pH values in the precipitation and rates of soil weathering, and causes of such differences were studied. The supply dynamics of nutrients and toxic elements in various forest soils was predicted according to the effects of acid deposition. The long-term effects were evaluated for those forest ecosystems. |
