在一段式的CANON(Completely Autotrophic Nitrogen removal Over Nitrite)厌氧氨氧化工艺中,好氧氨氧化菌和厌氧氨氧化菌在氧限制的单个反应器内协同去除氨氮,这在节省反应器空间的同时对系统内功能菌群的优化调控提出了更高的要求.

Abstract:ANAMMOX (ANaerobic AMMonium OXidation) refers to oxidizing ammonia using nitrite as electron acceptor under anoxic conditions. This process is catalyzed by a unique group of obligatory anaerobic microbes called "anammox bacteria". As members of the Planctomycetes phylum of Bacteria, anammox bacteria have a distinctive cell structure which differs greatly from the common prokaryocytes. Most importantly, anammox plays an important role in the nitrogen cycle and possess a great potential in wastewater treatment. Anammox process combined with partial nitrification is ideally suitable to treat high-strength ammonia streams with low or no organic matter. In the one-stage Completely Autotrophic Nitrogen removal Over Nitrite (CANON) process, aerobic and anaerobic ammonia oxidizing bacteria cooperate to remove ammonia in one oxygen-limited reactor, which saves the land occupation but brings about a challenge in how to control the functional bacteria community. In this contribution, bio-characteristics of anammox bacteria and CANON process are reviewed.
Keywords:anammox  partial nitrification  CANON  wastewater nitrogen removal
