Abstract:To investigate the potential mutagenic effects of metabolites of MET(Mul-ti-effect Triazol)after they were degraded by microorganisms,the bacteria(Pseudomonas sp.)were cultured in the liquid medium with MET for l20h.Plate incorporation assay of Ames Test was used to detect the mutagenic ra-tio of the liquid of medium after they were filtered.The results indicated that the filtrate of medium used to culture the bacteria for 96h had higher mutagenic ratio(+S9,TA98,6.4+l.32,TA102,2.46 +0.08)than the con-tro1,also,the N-hydroxy group of dissociable MET included N-methylols and N-acetyles might be the final mutagen to the bacteria in the medium by GC/MS analysis.
