Approach on Environmental Impact Assessment Verification of Major Decision

Environmental impact assessment (EIA) on major national economic and social development decision is a promoted EIA, and a choice of government decision-making under the condition of Socialist Market Economy, it helps to raise the quality of macro-decision and implement sustainable development. In this article, the character, procedure and objective of EIA on major national economic and social development decision were discussed on the basis of its significance. The structure adjustment, the third development opportunity in Jiangsu Province were evaluated as case study.
