Treatment of Bunker Flash in High-pressure Polyethylene Installation

The hidden risk of bunker flash in high-pressure polyethylene installation of chemical division of SINOPEC Maoming company was effectively treated. The treatment was carried out in two parts: By using of multiple-pipe gravity mixing technology, dust concentration of vapor phase was reduced, and accumulation of static electricity decreased; Installed vent under the bottom of bunker, increased nitrogen and air to purge the pipe reversely, and accumulation of combustible gas was reduced. Through the treatment, accident of bunker flash was put to an end, and a certain degree of economic benefit was achieved.
