| Abstract: | he influence of surfactants on the environment wasreviewed and the testing methods and kinetics forsurfactunt biodegralltion were discussed. It wasfound that the microbial activity and exposurecondition would affect the biodegradability ofsurfactunts.Type,extent of branching, and numberof carbon atom of the hydrophobes and the numberof EO and PO units would also affect thebiodegradation of surfactant. A complex system ofdifferent surfactants could be easily degraded. |
