| 摘 要： | 粤北南雄盆地是中生代末世和新生代初世的陆相沉积盆地。上白垩统富含末代恐龙、恐龙蛋和恐龙脚印化石。下第三系古新统则出现哺乳动物先驱化石。对研究恐龙的绝灭有重要科学意义。

| Abstract: | Nanxiong Basin, overlaying on the pre-Jurassic basement - is an intermountain faultbasin of Late Cretaceous-Eogene Paleocene Epoch- Within the basin are accumulated LateCretaceons Nanxiong Group and Eogene Paleocene Luo Fuzai Group, which belong to redclastic layers with fluviolacustrine phase- Abundance of fossils about dinosaurs,dinosaurs eggs and dinosaurs footprints have been found in Nanxiong Group while manyfossils of mammals have becn found in Luo Fuzai Group. It is seldom seen in the worldthat there are quite different kinds of animals in the continuous eras from Late Cretaceousto Early Tertiary, which is such an important region that it has scientific significance forstudying extinction of the dinosaur-pioneer of the mammals. |
