Abstract:The east Zhejiang upwarping zone, consisted of Chencai Group of east Zhejiang and Jianou Group of north Fujian in China, may be extended eastwards across the east China Sea and connected with the Jishino and Higo metamophic complex of Kurosegawa tectonic zone in southwest Japan, belonging to the north residual block of "Cathaysian-South Japan Continent" and controlled by Jianshan-Shaoxing-Mikabu Palaeofault. The palaeotectonic evolution of east China, Korea Peninsula and southwest Japan was part of palaeo-Asia tectonic system trending in east to west.
