Abstract:Effects of simulation phenol wastewater treated by magnetic-Fenton and ordinary Fenton process were compared,and mechanism of magnetic-Fenton treatment was discussed.Experimental results indicated that under the conditions of magnetic field strength 592 mT,pH 3,adding FeSO4·7H2O and H2O2 with m(COD):m(H2O2)1:2 and n(H2O2):n(Fe2+)15:1,stirred for 60 min,volatility phenol and COD elimination rate respectively achieved 99.6% and 86.3%,which were better than that treated by the ordinary Fenton method.Magnetic field can reduce the molecular association aroused by hydrogen bond,enhance ·OH diffusivity,improve the phenol molecular linkage to distort even break a number of small molecules,and thus easily oxidized by ·OH.
