| Abstract: | Based on the insight into the characteristics of oily effluents of mechanical and electrical machining industries, micro flocculation plus double bed filtration technology was chosen for the effluent treatment. This paper reports on the laboratory experiment conducted to determine the applicability of the technology in terms of filtration velocity, dosage of flocculants, and other design constraints. The experimental results showed effectiveness of the technology for removing oils. |
