APPLICATION AND PROSPECTS OF AMPHIBIAN FOR ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION BIOMONITORING |

| Abstract: | The paper deals with the advantages of biological monitoring and the general standard of the selection of biological indicators. The characters of all kinds of biological indicators are discussed and compared. It is discussed that the advantages of amphibian as biological indicator for environmental pollution monitoring and the relationship between the amphibian and environment. The negative effects on amphibian exposed to contaminated environment are summarized. The history and present conditions in the study are summed up as well. We put forward the assumption of using the pattern of amphibian's changes of morphology and behavior to set up the model of monitoring environmental pollution. Table 1, Ref 48 |
