The Old Lead Belt of Missouri was a major lead-producing region for over a century. Several large tailings piles and other industrial wastes remain behind, though mining operations in the region ceased in 1972. Samples of stream sediments and fish were collected from established sites on the Big River and Flat River Creek over a 3-year period from 1998 to 2000 to evaluate ongoing remediation efforts and determine the current impact of residual mining wastes. Benthic sediments and fish taken in the vicinity of inactive industrial sites were found to contain elevated concentrations of Pb, Zn, Cu, and Cd. Concentrations of Pb and Zn in fillets of suckers and sunfish, as well as in whole bodies of sunfish, correlate well with metal concentrations observed in surficial sediments. The results of analyses provide valuable quantitative information regarding specific sources, current levels of contamination, potential risk to public health, and will allow more accurate assessment of continuing remediation efforts.  相似文献

利用连续提取法研究了城市污泥中铜和锌的化学形态,结果表明:污泥中铜和锌都以稳定性较好的硫化物及有机结合物、残渣态形式存在,生物毒性较小,通过适当处理后可以安全加以利用;在此基础上,研究了利用乙酸和双氧水去除污泥中铜和锌的适宜工艺条件,结果表明:在室温条件下,在pH值为4的环境中,利用添加H_2O_2的浓度为2mol/L的乙酸溶液,反应时间为4h,就可以将污泥中超过95%以上的铜和锌淋滤去除。  相似文献

覆膜对土壤-青菜体系Cu和Zn迁移特性的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
地膜覆盖(覆膜)是一种国际上广泛采用的农作物栽培方式,极大地改变了土壤的水热生态效应,从而影响土壤中重金属元素的生物有效性.通过田间对比试验,研究覆膜对土壤-青菜体系中Cu和Zn迁移及分布特征的影响.结果表明:覆膜栽培方式在促进青菜生长的同时,显著地改变了土壤的理化性质.覆膜地块中土壤pH值和SO2-4含量比不覆膜地块分别降低12.77%和33.90%,差异达到显著水平(P<0.05).覆膜对Cu形态分布和迁移影响很小,对Zn影响则大得多.土壤中Zn的BCR(community bureau of reference)3步提取态含量分别降低25.87%、35.80%和28.17%.覆膜地块青菜根和叶中Zn含量分别较不覆膜地块增加130.9%和13.6%,但茎中减少了23.7%.覆膜栽培对土壤中Zn有一定活化作用,释放出来的Zn大部分被青菜根吸收,因此覆膜地块中青菜根对Zn的吸收量远远大于不覆膜地块.  相似文献

研究了湖南省郴县东坡铅锌矿自然扩散晕内重金属的污染特征及污染控制措施,结果表明,该区域内的环境污染是以Pb、Zn、Cd和As为主的多金属复合污染,污染物在土壤中的化学形态以残渣态为主,水体中的细微尾矿砂颗粒物是重金属的主要迁移载体。该区域内作物中的Pb、Cd残留很高,用改变耕种制度的方法来控制铅锌矿区内的重金属污染是有效的  相似文献

采用室内模拟方法,在单独与混合暴露条件下研究了褶纹冠蚌(Cristaria plicata)对Cu、Zn的积累与分布特征.结果表明:褶纹冠蚌对水环境中的Cu、Zn具有良好的积累能力,持续暴露8d内,体内各组织重金属积累量基本呈线性上升,其中鳃与外套积累速率最快(p<0.05).Cu在褶纹冠蚌鳃、内脏团和生殖腺中的积累速率与Zn之间存在显著差异(p<0.05),且Cu、Zn之间在各组织中的积累拮抗作用明显.暴露前,Cu含量在褶纹冠蚌体内依次为:生殖腺>外套、内脏团>鳃、足>肌肉(p<0.05),变化幅度为10倍左右;Zn含量依次为:鳃>内脏团>生殖腺>足、外套>肌肉(p<0.05),变化幅度为4倍左右.暴露后,外套和鳃对Cu、Zn的积累量最高,且Cu、Zn含量在不同组织间的变化幅度明显增加.暴露前后,Cu含量在不同组织间的变化幅度均高于Zn.不同暴露条件下,褶纹冠蚌不同组织对Zn的浓缩系数(BCF)明显高于Cu.  相似文献

Geophagia, the deliberate ingestion of soil, is a complex eating behaviour with obscure aetiology and numerous health/medical problems. It is conventionally assumed that geophagia may help supplement mineral nutrients in individuals with limited intake of trace elements such as Fe and Zn. This view, however, has largely been based on the bulk nutrient composition of geophagic materials and the assumption that these nutrients are potentially available for absorption in the body. We have tested this assumption by equilibrating five geophagic materials collected from Uganda, Tanzania, Turkey and India with mineral nutrient concentrations and conditions similar to the gastrointestinal tract. The results showed that all five geophagic materials, regardless of their composition, sorbed large amounts of Fe and Zn across a range of dietary intake scenarios, even under acidic conditions (pH 2) similar to the stomach. However, significant amounts of Ca desorption were observed from calcareous soil samples. The findings show that while calcareous geophagic materials may supplement Ca, geophagia can potentially cause Fe- and Zn-deficiency. This is consistent with mineral nutrient deficiency problems observed in clinical nutrition studies conducted amongst geophagic populations.  相似文献

The post-ingestion bioavailability of arsenic (As) in alluvial soil and mineral beneficiation waste from Ron Phibun, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand has been investigated using a physiologically-based extraction test (PBET). The method utilises synthetic leaching fluids closely analogous to those of the human stomach and small intestine, upon which the leaching duration and ambient temperature of the experimental procedure are also directly based. Replicate analyses of Ron Phibun alluvium samples holding 1406 and 2123 g As g-1 respectively indicated an average stomach absorption of 11.2% (of total soil As). Gross absorption increased to 18.9% following translocation through a simulated small-intenstine regime. Higher gross absorption (35.7%) was recorded during PBET analysis of a flotation waste sample holding c. 2% total As. Within- and between-site variations of As bioavailability can principally be ascribed to mineralogical factors, notably the relative abundances of sulphide, arsenide, arsenate and oxide hosts within the soil/flotation waste matrix. The PBET provides a potentially valuable mechanism for refining risk assessments of sites subject to natural or anthropogenic As contamination. Through the substitution of total soil As values with input data which relate specifically to bioavailable As, risk calculations derived using established models such as the US-EPA package Risk Assistant may prove more realistic, thus facilitating improved cost-benefit analysis of site remediation options. Assessment of the relative human risks associated with potable water consumption and contaminated soil ingestion at Ron Phibun has signified that the latter could constitute a more significant As exposure pathway than recognised previously. Further evaluation of the precise soil ingestion levels of inhabitants residing on the As-rich alluvium which covers much of the district is, therefore, warranted.  相似文献

The impacts of a functional and a demolished copper processing works on the aquatic and terrestrial environment in the vicinity of the works was investigated by determining the levels of selected trace metals in river water, river sediments, channel margin sediments and overbank soils. Samples were taken at five sites within an area of the Churnet Valley in Staffordshire, where the River Churnet flows through the two works. Analysis of river water samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) has shown that only copper is present above background levels considered to typify uncontaminated rivers. Analysis of river sediments, channel margin sediments and overbank soils by nitric-perchloric acid digestion and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES) analysis has indicated contamination by arsenic, cadmium and copper in the vicinity of both works. Arsenic and copper are deposited primarily within the aquatic environment, although some contamination of the terrestrial environment by copper is also observed. Cadmium is deposited primarily within the terrestrial environment. The deposition of arsenic and copper in river and channel margin sediments respectively is also related to current and historical contamination.  相似文献

珠江广州河段底泥中有机质、硫化物和重金属汞、铜、铅的污染监测结果表明:各种污染物的含量范围分别为有机质20.8—74.4g/kg,硫化物28.7—538mg/kg,汞0.07-0.74mg/kg,铜20.9—101mg/kg,铅14.2—917mg/kg;它们在沿程各断面的分布表现为上游往中游递增,而中游向下游递减,基本上以猎德、广纸和黄沙三个断面的污染最严重;各种污染物的污染程度顺序是硫化物>汞>铜>铅。相关分析表明:汞、铜与有机质和硫化物的相关关系均达到极显著水平。说明随着底泥中有机质和硫化物积累的增加,汞、铜的富集量相应增加,污染加重。  相似文献

干旱区绿洲灌漠土Cu、Zn和Pb的吸附解吸特征   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
土壤重金属吸附解吸是影响土壤系统中重金属移动性和归宿的主要过程,影响重金属的生物有效性以及重金属在食物链中的传递等.配制一系列不同浓度的重金属,灌漠土对重金属溶液进行吸附实验24 h以达到平衡,再用硝酸铵和乙酸铵进行解吸实验24 h以达到平衡.利用热力学吸附平衡法,对西北干旱区绿洲灌漠土重金属Cu、Ni和Pb的吸附解吸行为进行序批实验研究.实验结果表明:(1)灰漠土在常温下对铜、锌和铅重金属离子的吸附等温线符合Freundlich型吸附模式,灰漠土对重金属铜、锌和铅的吸附能力由强到弱的顺序为:铅,铜,锌.(2)硝酸铵和乙酸铵解吸重金属的量与灰漠土吸附重金属量呈现出线性正相关,乙酸铵解吸重金属的量比硝酸铵解吸重金属的量大,两种解吸剂对铜、锌和铅重金属离子的解吸能力由大到小的顺序都为:铜,锌,铅,说明了一般外源的铜、锌和铅进入土壤以后,铜和锌可能比铅容易向四周转移.(3)硝酸铵和乙酸铵的解吸率呈谷形曲线,开始时硝酸铵和乙酸铵解吸重金属量的百分比随灰漠土吸附重金属量的增加而减小,在吸附量达到某一特定值时,解吸率随吸附量的增加而增加.灰漠土对铜、锌和铅的吸附作用以专性吸附为主,被灰漠土吸附的铜、锌和铅重金属离子较难解吸.  相似文献

对太湖、南四湖、白洋淀三个不同富营养化湖泊沉积物进行采样,采用Tessier连续提取法,测定了3个湖泊表层沉积物中Cu、Zn两种重金属的赋存形态,并初步探讨了重金属各形态与沉积物及上覆水中营养盐的相关关系。结果表明,沉积物中重金属总量以白洋淀最高,太湖最低,但重金属污染程度为太湖&gt;南四湖&gt;白洋淀,太湖Cu污染指数为1.34~1.6,白洋淀Cu污染指数仅为0.79~1.17。沉积物中重金属赋存形态Cu主要以残渣态和有机质结合态为主(二者之和占73%以上), Zn则以残渣态和Fe-Mn氧化态占优(二者之和比例达83%以上),含量最少的均为可交换态。不同湖泊沉积物重金属赋存形态差异较大,太湖残渣态重金属占总量的比例最小(Cu为43%~56%,Zn为49%~63%),南四湖残渣态占的比例最大(Cu为59%~82%、Zn为64%~77%);可交换态比重在太湖中最高(Cu占3.2%~5.6%,Zn为1.3%~1.5%),在南四湖中最低(Cu为1.1%~2.9%,Zn未检出)。从“非稳定态”重金属(除残渣态外的四种形态之和)所占比例看,相较其它两个湖泊,太湖沉积物中重金属污染人为输入的活性态占较大比重,具有较高的二次释放风险。相关性分析得出,重金属Cu的可交换态与上覆水中总氮及总磷之间存在着极显著的正相关关系,碳酸盐结合态Cu与沉积物中营养盐呈现出显著的负相关性,说明水体的富营养化程度加剧可能会增强沉积物中Cu向水体释放的风险。  相似文献

The study of heavy metals’ redistribution between different fractions allows to know their bioavailability and mobility in soils. Soil samples were collected from a lead mine in Hamadan provinces, NW Iran. In a factorial experiment soil was treated with cow, sheep and poultry manures (20?g?kg?1 soil) separately and incubated near field capacity at 10°C and 37°C. An untreated soil (as control) was also incubated at the same temperatures. After 0 and 120 days, a sequential extraction scheme was used to fractionate Pb of incubated samples into soluble-exchangeable (Sol-Exch), organic matter associated (AOM), carbonates associated (ACar), and residual (Res) forms. Soil Pb in Sol-Exch and AOM fractions were increased by manure application significantly. The AOM and ACar forms of Pb were higher in soils treated with the manures and incubated in lower temperature. In contrast, the Sol-Exch and Res chemical forms of Pb were higher in the soils incubated at 37°C. These results may be related to the higher calcium carbonate dissolution and organic matter decomposition because of better biological activity in the soils incubated in higher temperature. The increase of the Res fraction (stable form) in this condition may resulted in lower toxicity and mobility in soil environment.  相似文献

根据2009年4月份在滦河流域采集的25个土壤样点的数据资料,对不同土地利用类型土壤微生物量C、TN、TP质量分数特征、垂直分异规律、表聚性及与影响因子进行研究。结果表明:土壤微生物量C、TN、TP在土壤表层(0~10cm)的平均表聚系数分别为0.22、0.19和0.14,并且河滩地、林草地的土壤微生物量C、TN质量分数明显高于水稻田和旱田土壤,而农田系统土壤中TP质量分数相对占优。土壤微生物C、TN、TP的剖面分布均表现出从表层向下减少的总趋势,并以40cm为界,不同土地利用类型土壤、同层观测值的显著性差异有所不同。土壤微生物量C、TN与土壤含水率呈极显著正相关(P〈0.01),与粉粒呈显著正相关(P〈0.05),与土壤容重呈极显著负相关,与气温、降水量呈负相关。TP与气温、降水量呈极显著正相关,与容重负相关,与其它因子没有明显相关关系。  相似文献

选取鼎湖山3种植被类型(季风常绿阔叶林,针阔叶混交林和马尾松林),按0~15,15~30,30~45cm土层取样,测量了各土层土壤有机碳(SOC)质量分数,熏蒸培养法测量了微生物生物量碳(Cmic),同时用气象色谱法测量了地表和土壤15、30、45、60cm处CO2体积分数,并用静态箱/碱石灰吸收法测量了土壤呼吸速率。结果如下:(1)随土层的加深,SOC质量分数降低,0~15cmSOC显著高于其他两层,季风常绿阔叶林SOC显著高于其他两种植被类型;(2)土壤碳密度和土壤有机碳含量垂直分布规律一致,0~15cm土壤碳密度显著高于其他两层;(3)0~30cm土层微生物生物量占总土壤微生物生物量的81%~92%,随土层加深微生物生物量迅速降低。微生物生物量和土壤有机碳的比值表明,三种植被类型土壤均处于土壤碳积累中,深层土壤碳积累程度高于表层;(4)土壤CO2浓度随土层的加深迅速升高,主要与土壤透气性有关。  相似文献

长期定位施肥对农田土壤酶活性及其相关因素的影响   总被引:45,自引:5,他引:45  
利用中国科学院封丘农业生态国家实验站潮土农田生态系统养分平衡长期定位试验地,研究不同施肥处理对土壤酶活性的影响及其年际变化,以及对土壤养分和微生物生物量的影响。结果发现,土壤脱氢酶、转化酶、脲酶及磷酸酶的活性在长期不同施肥处理之后均产生较大的差异,总体上是施肥高于不施肥,施肥处理间从高到低依次是OM(有机肥)、1/2OM 1/2NPK、NPK、NP、PK、NK。同时,土壤脱氢酶活性随着年限的增加逐渐下降,转化酶与磷酸酶的活性趋于增高,而脲酶活性的年际变化规律在不同施肥处理间互不相同。另外,OM与1/2OM 1/2NPK处理的土壤微生物生物量C、N最高,而施化肥处理中只有NPK处理的微生物生物量N显著高于不施肥对照,其它处理与对照没有显著差异。结果表明,长期施用有机肥更有利于保育土壤生物化学环境质量。  相似文献

以NH4NO3作为氮源,对广州东北郊木荷(Schima superba)人工幼林地进行模拟氮沉降处理,共设置3个氮沉降水平,分别为N0(N:0 g·m-2·a-1)、N5(N:5 g·m-2·a-1)以及N10(N:10 g·m-2·a-1),每月进行喷施。在连续施氮22个月(当月当次施氮5天后)对土壤氮素(硝氮、氨氮、总氮)、碳素(总碳)以及微生物量(脂磷)在0~60 cm土层中的垂直分布进行研究。结果显示:在3个氮沉降水平下,随着土层加深,pH呈现出下降的趋势,氮沉降存在加剧土壤酸化的风险;在N0、N5、N10水平下,土壤全氮和总碳的垂直分布趋势大体一致,随着土层加深,其含量下降,但在深层土壤(40~60 cm)中,施氮与对照比较,总碳呈现一定的增加趋势;除40~50 cm土层,N5、N10水平下的硝态氮含量在各个深度土壤中都表现为比对照组要高,氮沉降导致土壤一定程度上硝态氮的积累;在浅层土壤(0~20 cm)中,铵态氮水平较低并且其含量明显低于对照组,而在较深的土层中铵态氮有较多的积累,说明存在污染地下水的风险;N5和N10水平下,无机氮比例(无机氮含量与总氮含量之比)在各个深度土壤中总体高于N0水平;用脂磷含量表征土壤微生物含量,结果表明外加氮源对微生物含量有显著性影响,在N5、N10水平下,微生物含量在30~40 cm土层中出现峰值。  相似文献

Sludge resulting from industrial waste water treatment at the industrial area of Patras, Greece, was spiked with cadmium, chromium and lead and entrenched in 4 experimental trenches. Soil from the unsaturated zone and sludge from the trenches were sampled at successive time points over a period of 14 months to monitor the movement of metals. Results showed that 94% of cadmium and 80% of lead but only 32% of chromium migrated from the sludge just 14 months after the entrenchment.

At the end of this time the buried sludge could be considered stabilised, as indicated by the total nitrogen content. Cd content in underlying soil layers at 3 m depth showed an increase in the first 7 months followed by a decrease, afterwards. Soil Pb concentration at 3 and 6 m depth was significantly high, in relation to it's initial concentration 14 months after the entrenchment. Pb and Cd in the soil samples were negatively correlated. It is suggested that lead displaces cadmium in the sediments.  相似文献

将无锡城乡交错区河网分为城镇生活区水巷、工业区主河道、农业区主河道、农业区支流和鱼塘5种类型区.通过秋季(旱季)和夏季(雨季)2次采样,研究氮、磷和Cu、Zn、Pb、Cr、Cd在地表水和沉积物中的含量及其空间变化.结果表明:(1)城乡交错区地表水氮、磷来源于生活污染和工业污染的比例大于农田,同时具有来源分散、污染面广的特征.(2)由于城镇地表径流和工业活动影响,各类型区地表水重金属含量均有不同程度提高.但地表水重金属主要沿主河道迁移,旱季和雨季主河道重金属含量均大于农业区支流,而且随着与城镇距离增加,主河道沉积物重金属含量迅速降低,重金属污染影响范围较小.(3)与重金属相比,地表水氮、磷污染仍是太湖水网区主要的环境问题.但城镇及其周围河流沉积物中富集的重金属含量很高,其潜在环境风险不容忽视.  相似文献
