Iron-impregnated granular activated carbons (Fe-GAC) can remove arsenic effectively from water. In this study, Fe-GACs with iron content of 1.64 to 28.90% were synthesized using a new multi-step procedure for the investigation of effects of iron amount on arsenic adsorption capacities and kinetics. Langmuir model satisfactorily fit arsenic adsorption on Fe-GACs. The maximum arsenic adsorption capacity (q(m)) increased significantly with iron impregnation and reached 1,867 to 1,912 microg/g with iron content of 9.96 to 13.59%. Further increase of iron content (> 13.59%) caused gradual decrease of q(m). It was found that the amount of impregnated iron showed little impact on the affinity for arsenate. Kinetic study showed that the amount of impregnated iron affected the arsenic intraparticle diffusion rate greatly. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model fit arsenic adsorption kinetics on Fe-GACs better than the pseudo-first-order model. The arsenic adsorption rate increased with increasing of iron content from 1.64% to 13.59%, and then decreased with more impregnated iron (13.59 to 28.90%).  相似文献

考察了活性炭和四环素的相关性质,并通过静态吸附实验探讨了2种活性炭对四环素的吸附和脱附行为,以及pH值、离子强度等水化学条件对活性炭吸附四环素的影响。结果表明,四环素在活性炭上的吸附基本不受离子强度影响;但随着pH值上升,其吸附量下降。四环素在活性炭上吸附的驱动力可能为两者所含官能团间的氢键作用。  相似文献

改性天然菱铁矿去除水中六价铬   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
六价铬Cr(Ⅵ)是地下水污染的重要组分之一。近几年吸附法除铬被广泛应用。为了强化Cr(Ⅵ)的去除效率,对成本低廉的天然菱铁矿进行了改性,并研究了最优改性条件及其对Cr(Ⅵ)的吸附特性。经过不同温度的灼烧改性发现,在500℃灼烧20 min时改性材料去除地下水中Cr(Ⅵ)的效率最高,在25℃时其吸附容量可达0.092 mg/g,吸附效率为92%。通过一系列的静态批实验,考察了最优改性菱铁矿对水中Cr(Ⅵ)的吸附效果。结果表明,二级吸附动力学模型可以更好地描述不同温度下的吸附过程。与Langmuir等温吸附模型相比,等温吸附数据更好地符合Freundlich等温吸附模型。溶液pH对改性天然菱铁矿的吸附效果影响较大,pH在2~8之间吸附容量基本稳定;当pH=8~11时,随着pH升高吸附量明显减小。SEM、比表面积、ZPC测定等结果表明,改性菱铁矿比表面积增大,pHzpc在7.8左右。因此,比表面积、表面电荷的分布等表面性质是改性天然菱铁矿除铬性能强的主要原因。  相似文献

The metal removal capability of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and natural zeolite is evaluated in this study using zinc as a model adsorbate. The equilibrium and kinetic characteristics of zinc adsorption on GAC and natural zeolite were studied in batch stirred tank experiments. The adsorption data for both systems were fitted by Langmuir, Freundlich, Langmuir-Freundlich, and Redlich-Peterson models. The parameters in the adsorption isotherms were estimated from the experimental equilibrium data using MATLAB. Using these data the best isotherm can be selected. The effect of initial concentration on the transient behaviour of zinc removal by GAC and natural zeolite was investigated. In this work two surface reaction models, namely a second order reversible reaction model and a second order irreversible reaction model for describing Zn(II) removal by GAC and natural zeolite, were employed. Modelling studies using two different second order surface reaction models demonstrated that it is very difficult to come to a general conclusion about which model has better ability.  相似文献

For the last few decades, over 200 papers have been published in the Cr(VI) biosorption research field. Most early studies have claimed that Cr(VI) was removed from aqueous phase through an anionic adsorption, but this approach has been lost old original position. It has been newly explained that these findings were misinterpreted due to errors in measuring the concentrations of different chromium species in the aqueous phase, insufficient contact time required for equilibrium and the lack of information about the oxidation state of the chromium bound to biomaterials. Although 'adsorption-coupled reduction' is now widely accepted as the mechanism of Cr(VI) biosorption by natural biomaterials, a number of researchers still believe that Cr(VI) is removed by anionic adsorption onto the biomaterials. Therefore, the objective of this study was to show reliable evidences that the removal mechanism of Cr(VI) by natural biomaterials is 'adsorption-coupled reduction'. Sixteen natural biomaterials were used to study the Cr(VI) biosorption. Not only Cr(VI) but also total Cr in the aqueous phase were analyzed. X-ray photoelectron spectroscope was also used to verify the oxidation state of the chromium bound to the biomaterials. Finally, the removal behavior of Cr(VI) by each biomaterial was described by a kinetic model based on a redox reaction.  相似文献

研究了粉末活性炭对2,4-滴、呋喃丹、甲萘威和莠去津的吸附过程和吸附规律以及投炭量和水质对粉末活性炭吸附性能的影响。结果表明,粉末活性炭能有效去除4种农药;吸附规律符合Freundlich吸附等温线和Langmuir吸附等温线;吸附时间为30 min时,去离子水中的去除率已达到80%以上;随着投炭量的增加,去除率提高,粉末活性炭的吸附容量降低;在不同水质条件下,粉末活性炭的吸附等温线可能不同,因此在应急处理中,首先应该确定该水质下的吸附等温线,然后求出投炭量。  相似文献

以城市污水处理厂的脱水污泥为原料,用ZnCl2活化法制备污泥活性炭,并研究其对水中酸性红G的吸附、脱附行为。选取活化剂浓度、固液比、活化温度及活化时间等因素,通过正交实验确定了最佳工艺,即ZnCl2浓度30%,固液比1:2,碳化温度500℃,碳化时间1.5 h。吸附实验结果表明,该污泥活性炭对水中酸性红G的吸附量随着温度升高而增加,在15、25和35℃条件下的最大吸附量分别为153.6、165.6和180.4 mg/g,且吸附等温线能较好用Langmuir方程进行模拟。酸性红G在污泥活性炭上的吸附动力学符合准二级反应动力学模型。污泥活性炭对酸性红G的吸附量随着溶液pH的增大而减小,污泥活性炭的最佳投加量为0.26 g/L。吸附饱和的污泥活性炭可通过碱处理和热处理方法进行脱附,脱附后的吸附剂对酸性红G仍具有很强吸附性能。  相似文献

吸附剂的性能对油气吸附分离的效果起着决定性的作用。测定了活性炭和吸附树脂在常温下对油气的静态吸附和脱附特性,比较吸附树脂与活性炭的吸附率、解吸率。实验结果表明,吸附树脂吸附率高,解吸容易。测定了活性炭和吸附树脂对油气的吸附穿透曲线和热效应。实验结果表明,吸附树脂的穿透时间长,温升略低,适于油气吸附分离。同时,利用Yoon Nelson模型较好地模拟了吸附树脂吸附油气的穿透曲线,从而可为吸附树脂吸附塔设计提供理论依据。  相似文献

玉米秸秆活性炭的制备及其吸附动力学研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
以玉米秸秆为原材料,采用ZnCl2活化法制备玉米秸秆活性炭,吸附次甲基蓝染料废水,进行动力学分析。本实验用Langmuir和Freundlich模型对吸附等温线进行拟合,结果表明,玉米秸秆活性炭对次甲基蓝的吸附与Langmuir方程拟合良好,R2=0.9857。采用Lagergren准一级速率模型、Lagergren准二级速率模型、Bangham动力学方程和Elovich动力学方程分别对秸秆活性炭吸附次甲基蓝溶液进行吸附动力学拟合,通过分析得出吸附过程与Lagergren准二级速率模型拟合最好,R2=0.9979。秸秆活性炭对次甲基蓝的最大吸附量达到909.09 mg/g,具有很高的吸附能力。  相似文献

吸附法油气回收技术中,吸附剂的再生是一个难点和研究重点。微波加热作为一种新的再生技术,受到人们日益的重视。实验利用比表面积及孔隙分析仪测定了经多次微波真空,加热真空和加热再生后的活性炭的表面结构变化,通过对比分析,探讨了3种工艺多次再生活性炭对活性炭表面结构的影响。结果表明,3种工艺均对活性炭结构都有所破坏,但微波真空再生对活性炭比表面积和孔容破坏最小,净吸附容量最大,从效率及能耗上都比较好。  相似文献

研究了氧化、还原改性对活性炭吸附草甘膦的影响.以傅立叶红外光谱定性表面官能团变化,以扫描电镜观察表面形貌,以化学吸附分析仪测定后再通过测定样品的氮气吸附/脱附等温线计算比表面积和孔径.结果表明:(1)氧化改性使活性炭比表面积增大;还原改性使活性炭比表面积减小.还原阶段使先前氧化阶段中产生的孔道以及原有孔道均发生塌陷,导致还原改性活性炭比表面积减小.(2)在静态吸附的条件下,氧化改性和还原改性活性炭对草甘膦的吸附均为吸热反应.还原改性在活性炭表面产生的还原性官能团有利于活性炭对草甘膦的吸附,而氧化改性产生的氧化性官能团并不利于活性炭对草甘膦的吸附.(3)热力学参数的计算进一步表明,改性活性炭对草甘膦的吸附为吸热反应.  相似文献

Cyclic voltammetry and spectral FTIR studies of the influence of activated carbon surface modification on the co-adsorption of metal cation (lead or iron) and phenol from aqueous acidic solution were carried out. The diversity in surface chemical structure was achieved by applying different procedures of inorganic matter removal and by modifying the carbon samples in various ways: heating under vacuum, aminoxidation in an ammonia-oxygen atmosphere, oxidation with concentrated nitric acid. The quantities of adsorbed metal ions (Pb(2+) or Fe(3+)) and phenol from solutions containing cation or phenol separately or in a mixture were determined. The adsorption capacity from acidic aqueous acidic solution depends on the chemical properties of the activated carbon surface (e.g., decrease in phenol adsorption with relative lower basicity of the adsorbent). The electrochemical parameters of electrodes made from the carbon samples were estimated, and some possible electrochemical reactions were determined from voltammograms recorded in acid electrolyte solution containing adsorbed species (separately or as a mixture). Relationships were found between metal ion adsorption and electrochemical behavior of Pb(2+)/Pb(4+) and Fe(3+)/Fe(2+) couples on the one hand, and the presence of phenol in the solutions tested and the influence of surface chemistry of the carbon electrodes on electrochemical processes on the other. The changes in adsorption capacity with respect to the adsorbates used and the changes in FTIR spectra of the carbons as a result of adsorption and/or coupling phenol molecules are discussed.  相似文献

以棉秆为原料,以KOH为活化剂,制备了高比表面棉秆基生物质活性炭。分析了制得的活性炭的元素组成、表面官能团、吸附能力等物化性能,探讨了浸渍比,活化温度,活化时间等工艺参数对制备活性炭得率、表面官能团、碘值、亚甲基蓝值等性能的影响,并通过静态吸附实验比较了不同条件下制备活性炭对2,4-二硝基苯酚的吸附性能,探讨了典型炭样品对2,4-二硝基苯酚的等温吸附特性。结果表明,KOH活化棉秆基生物质活性炭的表面物化性质随浸渍比、活化温度等工艺参数变化而变化,活化适宜条件为浸渍比1:3、活化温度800℃、活化时间90 min,在此条件下制得的炭样的碘值为1 251 mg/g,亚甲基蓝吸附值为478 mg/g,分别是国家一级品标准的1.25倍与3.54倍;对2,4-二硝基苯酚的Langmuir最大吸附量为747 mg/g,与Freundlich模型相比,Langmuir模型能较好地描述2,4-二硝基苯酚在炭样上的吸附行为,表明制备活性炭样品表面吸附位的能量分布较为均一。  相似文献

The effect of arsenate on Cd(II) adsorption in two variable charge soils and the desorption of Cd(II) pre-adsorbed in the presence of arsenate were studied. The batch type experiments showed, the presence of arsenate led to increase in Cd(II) adsorption and the desorption of pre-adsorbed Cd(II). Further it was observed that the extent of adsorption and desorption of Cd(II) was greatly influenced by the initial concentrations of arsenate and Cd(II), the solution pH, and the nature of the soils. In general the increase in arsenate concentration and pH favored the uptake of Cd(II). Moreover, the arsenate concentration influenced more in Hyper-Rhodic Ferralsol than Rhodic Ferralsol at least for the Cd(II) adsorption/desorption. This may be due to the content of Fe/Al oxides in these soils. The larger the content of Fe/Al oxides, the more the adsorption of arsenate by the soil, hence greater the uptake of Cd(II). It can be assumed that the enhanced Cd(II) adsorption was mainly due to the increase in net negative surface charge of the soil induced by the adsorption of arsenate, because the presence of arsenate led to the decrease in zeta potential of these soil suspensions. The increase of electrostatically adsorbed Cd(II) was responsible for the increase in the desorption of Cd(II) pre-adsorbed in the presence of arsenate.  相似文献

为评价吸附后活性炭上重金属稳定性,采用BCR(European Communities Bureau of Reference)连续浸提法对吸附于活性炭上的重金属形态进行分析,分为可交换态、可还原态、可氧化态和残渣态。结果表明:未改性、硝酸改性、氨改性活性炭上Cr(Ⅵ)、Pb(Ⅱ)、Cd(Ⅱ)以残渣态稳定态为主,均在80%左右,在环境中的迁移性低,且改性后活性炭上重金属残渣态含量高于未改性活性炭。研究表明,应用BCR连续提取法有助于确定活性炭中重金属的污染状况和潜在释放能力。  相似文献
