Patterns in the quantitative manifestation of meristic characters of seismosensory canals on the head of roach have been studied in fish from populations inhabiting ten river and pond water areas of the Udmurt Republic exposed to different kinds and levels of anthropogenic pollution. Trends of interpopulation variation in the average numbers of pores in some seismosensory canals have been revealed, and their statistical relationship with the level of pollution has been evaluated.  相似文献

In the course of studies on mass fish species (bream and roach) in water bodies of the Upper Volga basin, intraspecific groups of individuals have been distinguished. Conditions and possible mechanisms of spatial differentiation of these groups are considered. The intrapopulation divergence of individuals by some adaptive characters, primarily behavioral, enables them to utilize alternative resources, which provides for more efficient use of the environment by populations.  相似文献

The peculiarities of the quantitative manifestation of four meristic features of the head seismosensory system have been studied in European perch individuals that inhabit ponds and medium-size reservoirs in the Middle and Lower Kama basin. The reduction trend in the interpopulation variability in the total average value of these features has been revealed under conditions of increasing mineralization of freshwater bodies, which is due to chemical pollution entering from transformed areas of their catchments.  相似文献

Based on 30-year collection of red fox skulls from the Middle Urals, the north of Kurgan oblast, and the south of Tyumen oblast, an increase in average values of craniometrics characters has been revealed in both young and adult animals of both sexes. This increase shows a weak but statistically significant correlation with annual average temperature. The rates of increase in different characters are not equal.  相似文献

Variation and intraspecific differentiation of Oxytropis chankaensis Jurtz. (Fabaceae), a plant endemic to the Russian Far East, have been studied by analyzing a complex of morphological characters. A high level of morphological variation has been revealed, and the most variable populations growing in the Khankaiskii Nature Reserve have been identified. Populations growing in the zone of anthropogenic impact are characterized by low values and reduced variability of test characters. Distinct morphological differentiation of O. chankaensis populations has been observed.  相似文献

A statistical analysis of interannual variation in a set of vegetative and generative characters over 13 years has been performed to characterize the growth and seed production dynamics of the Siberian stone pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) in the southeast of the forest zone in western Siberia. The results have shown that the range of fluctuations in most of vegetative characters is ordinary and their distribution is close to normal. The range of fluctuations in many generative characters is enormous (from 0 to +∞), and the distribution of their values is usually skewed, with low values being recorded several times more frequently than high values. Most variable are the proportion of abortive cones and other characters that are determined mainly in the spring of the pollination year. These characters account for a very high level of variation in the total seed production.  相似文献

Using histological techniques, changes in histomorphological characteristics of the liver were revealed in two fish species from lakes with different levels of anthropogenic impact. The most significant changes in the liver of roach from Kostomukshskoe Lake (used as a tailing dump of the Kostomuksha Mining and Ore-processing Plant) included initial stages of parenchymal protein dystrophy and, to a lesser extent, fatty dystrophy; in pike, fatty liver dystrophy prevailed. Compared to roach, pike proved to be more sensitive to ecological conditions in Kostomukshskoe lake, including increased water mineralization. In both fish species from Koivas Lake (20 km from the pollution source), only the initial stages of local dystrophic changes could be detected. The fish from clean Kamennoe Lake (located in a protected area) had no pathological changes in the liver.  相似文献

Seasonal changes in the occurrence frequency of fungal coats and in dimensional anatomical characters of ectomycorrhizal endings in the roots of Siberian spruce have been studied in two middle taiga phytocenoses. Twelve subtypes of fungal coats have been identified, with their occurrence frequency changing during the growing season. Seasonal fluctuations have been revealed in the dimensional anatomical characters of ectomycorrhizae, with the average thickness and volume proportion of fungal coats slightly increasing by the end of the growing season.  相似文献

In this study using linear and nonlinear approach, aggregate indices for various water quality parameters were analyzed. Using a linear and nonlinear interpolating surface, various water quality variables at grid points were investigated that is essential for mapping. The values help in constituting a key approach for determining the water quality index (WQI), which converts pollutant concentration data into subindex values and then combines them into a single score. One of the biggest advantages of WQI is its summary and intuitive communication capability which will be extremely helpful for demarcating safe aquifer zones of groundwater and in the selection of suitable method for remedial. The present study also describes pollution potential in ground water of Madhya Pradesh, India. The aggregate indices suggest intermediate to high pollution susceptibility in some region of Madhya Pradesh that may increase further if not managed. The overall interpretation of the study will be helpful in formulating suitable approach for water quality interpretation and sustainable planning of groundwater resources.  相似文献

The micronucleus test of peripheral blood erythrocytes was used to study cytogenetic stability in bream (Abramis brama L.), perch (Perca fluviatilis L.), roach (Rutilus rutilus L.), and pike (Esox lucius L.) from a eutrophic water body not affected by anthropogenic factors. The dependence of the rate of spontaneous micronucleus formation on fish age was estimated. Returning farmland to forests is important for the protection of ecological values. Eucommia ulmoides is considered to be a suitable species for reforestation in the hilly red soil region of southern China. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between the water supply and demand of an E. ulmoides plantation to provide insights into the feasibility of large-scale planting for ecological restoration and forest management activities in the hilly red soil region of southern China. With the measured precipitation, surface runoff and interflow and actual evapotranspiration (ETc) estimated by the modified P–M model, soil water storage (SWS) was estimated based on the water balance equation. Monthly variations of SWS were then compared with in situ measured SWS. The results showed that the estimated mean monthly water losses (the sum of the surface runoff, interflow and ETc) were 139.8 mm in a wet year and 120.0 mm in a dry year, while the measured mean monthly water input values (net precipitation) were 131.2 mm in a wet year and 70.8 mm in a dry year. Net soil water storage (ΔSWS) was negative in each month of the growing season in a dry year, but the soil water deficit was replenished during the following season. The model performance showed that the modified P–M model can be adapted to estimate the soil water storage in other forest catchments where no adequate in situ data are available. As a result of estimating the water balance and observing soil water storage in two different hydrological years, E. ulmoides is recommended as a suitable forest rehabilitation species in the study area, and a suitable plant region has been defined by the GIS technique based on the water balance model.  相似文献

The levels of total lipids, peroxidation products, and antioxidant activity in the liver were studied in fish species living in unequally polluted areas of the Rybinsk Reservoir and differing in their ecology and taxonomic position: the bream (Abramis brama L.), roach (Rutilus rutilus L.), burbot (Lota lota L.), and zander (Stizostedion lucioperca L.). The fish from polluted water areas were characterized by higher levels of total lipids and malonic dialdehyde and a deficiency of antioxidants. It is shown that the test parameters depend on the type of feeding and mode of life of the fish species.  相似文献

The species composition and abundance of young-of-the-year fishes have been analyzed in catches made in the upper Volga stretch of the Kuibyshev Reservoir between 1991 and 2009. It has been found that the juvenile abundance of roach and blue bream has decreased, while that of perch, silver bream, and spined loach has increased, with young-of-the-year juveniles of common rudd, tubenose goby, round goby, and black-striped pipefish appearing in catches. The results of the study show that, against the background of juvenile population decline in many spring-spawning fish species, the abundance and species diversity of young of the year in summer-spawning species has increased during the observation period.  相似文献

A comparative analysis of epigenetic variation has been performed in nine European populations and population groups of the American mink. It has been shown that differentiation of samples in nonmetric characters is due mainly to endogenous processes that have occurred in introduced populations in the course of colonization of new territory by the invasive species. Environmental factors have played a secondary role, with the influence of the geographic (latitudinal) origin of a given sample being considerable and stronger than that of macroclimatic factors.  相似文献

Turions of Potamogeton crispus were planted in several turbid waters. Some parameters of growth, reproduction and chlorophyll fluorescence were measured. The results were as follows: (1) Sprouting rates in all groups reached to 100.0% on the 17th day. (2) The parameters of the growth (stem and leaf) and chlorophyll fluorescence (ΦPSII, qP and qN) in 120 and 150NTU waters were inhibited heavily 60 days later, and their survival time was only 140 days. However, the plants in 30 to 90NTU waters could grow near water surface, their survival time was about 190 days. (3) After 150 days, the saturating irradiance intensity and rETRmax of the leaves in 30 to 90NTU waters markedly decreased with an increase in the amount of attached silts, and the number and fresh mass of turions (propagula) in 60 and 90NTU waters were significantly lower than the control. In summary, P. crispus in 0.7-metre-deep turbid water with suspended silts (not more than 90NTU) could sprout and grow normally, and produce the turions.  相似文献

The environmental influence on Chernobyl-derived 137Cs levels in perch (Perca fluviatilis L.) and roach (Rutilus rutilus L.) was revealed using partial least-squares regression (PLS). The 53 environmental predictors used describe land use in catchment areas, various catchment area and lake characteristics, lake water chemistry, and fish stock composition. The study showed a profound effect of land use on the 137Cs levels in fish. Radiocaesium deposited on arable land was retained in the soil to a greater extent than was 137Cs deposited on wetlands, which more easily leached out to the lake ecosystems. The 137Cs deposition close to the lakes had a more pronounced effect on 137Cs levels in the fish than did more distant deposition. The radiocaesium bioavailability is mainly governed by lake water cation content, as hardwater lakes had significantly lower 137Cs content in fish. Resuspension of 137Cs contaminated sediments only had a limited influence on the observed levels in fish.  相似文献

水资源的开发与保护日益受到国内外广泛的重视,把传统的力学,数学及计算机领域的最新科技成果引入到本领域来进行学科交叉,是水资源开发与保护工作者的职业义务。首先介绍了环境流体力学的研究内容与研究方法,而后对湍流流体力学的发展进行了回顾,并从普通的湍流流体力学出发,结合河流流体力学及环境流体力学,概括地阐述了河流流体力学及环境流体力学的特征,研究中应解决的主要问题及其在长江流域水环境评估中的应用现状。而后,介绍了目前环境流体力学中运用较广的几种方法及较复杂边界的处理方法。最后,介绍了几种目前在水环境评估领域运用较多的近区模拟模型与远区模拟模型和近场,远场区分所带来的问题。  相似文献
