Using waste expanded polystyrene as raw materials, a series of polymeric azo dyes containing the sulfonamide group were prepared by chlorosulfonation, amidation, hydrolysis, diazotization and coupling reactions in this study. The main influence factors of each step reaction were discussed and the proper reaction conditions were obtained. The polymeric azo dyes prepared showed good thermal stabilities, and their 5 % weight loss temperatures were all higher than 350 °C. These polymeric dyes could solve in toluene at the room temperature. They showed different maximum absorption wavelengths in the ultraviolet–visible region and gave various colors. The relationships between colors and molecular structures of polymeric dyes were investigated. These polymeric azo dyes prepared have potential applications in dyeing polymer materials, such as plastic and fiber.  相似文献

Azo dyes, which are the most commonly used dyes in the textile industry, are aromatic compounds with N═N– groups. The treatment of these pollutants has been receiving considerable attention due to their persistence and release of dyes into the environment. The existing treatment approaches are not only expensive but also result in the production of concentrated sludge, which creates a secondary disposal issue. Under particular ecological conditions, a variety of microbes, including bacteria, fungi, algae, and yeasts, can not only decolorize numerous dyes but can also degrade them. In this respect, microbial degradation is a successful, cost-effective, biologically friendly, and ecologically sustainable treatment strategy. This review paper discusses research articles identified in the ScienceDirect bibliographic database for the last 10 years (from January 1, 2010 to June 29, 2022). Only the most appropriate research articles were included in the review process which was identified by searches with keyword phrases Azo-dye degradation with bacteria, fungi, algae, yeast, and microbial consortia. The review paper also emphasizes the constraints that persist and the future scope for the degradation of dyes via genetic engineering.  相似文献

以H2O2/草酸铁络合物作光氧化剂,利用太阳光对水溶液中的直接耐酸大红进行了光氧化降解试验研究。结果表明,在日光照射下,H2O2/草酸铁络合物能使溶液中直接耐酸大红迅速光解,晴天光照15min或阴天光照30-40min,溶液(直接耐酸大红的质量浓度为50mg/L)可褪至无色;溶液的初始pH对染料光解有显著影响;pH为2-4时光解效果最佳;提高H2O2浓度可以提高光解速率,但H2O2的利用率会降低。  相似文献

用筛选出的一株丝状真菌(GX2)对活性、酸性、碱性和直接染料进行吸附及解吸的试验结果表明,该菌株对活性、酸性和直接染料有较高的吸附率,但碱性染料难被吸附;在多种有机溶剂中,丙酮是较好的解吸剂,碱性介质有利于染料的解吸;对菌体进行破碎及在解吸过程中加以搅拌有利于解吸过程的进行。  相似文献

Groundwater tracing with fluorescent tracer dyes is a valuable tool in many remediation projects. Three of four common dyes can be used concurrently, effectively separated, and their concentrations quantified if modern laboratory instruments and appropriate protocols are used. Unfortunately, investigators often overestimate the amount of introduced dye likely to be detected, use too little dye because of these estimates and concern that colored water might be detectable off‐site, and place sampling reliance solely on grab samples of water. The common result is flawed studies that identify only some of the points to which the dyed water flows. Results are quantitatively compared for monitoring sites during periods where both water samples and granular activated carbon samplers (referred to as carbon samplers) were used. The results demonstrate that carbon samplers are superior to water samples for detecting the presence of the fluorescent tracer dyes evaluated. A technically sound and cost‐effective strategy is to place primary sampling reliance on carbon samplers for detecting the presence of the dyes and secondary reliance on grab samples of water for determining dye concentrations when they are greater than the detection limits.  相似文献

采用蒽醌-2-磺酸钠有机体系光引发自由基降解废水中的染料。分析了蒽醌-2-磺酸钠有机体系光引发自由基降解的机理,考察了曝气、光照强度和初始染料质量浓度等因素对降解效果的影响。实验结果表明:曝气有利于蒽醌-2-磺酸钠有机体系光引发自由基降解染料;在光照强度1 000 W、初始染料质量浓度50 mg/L的条件下,反应60 min后酸性蓝80溶液的脱色率可达100%;在酸性红249、酸性黄42、酸性蓝80、活性艳红KD-8B、活性黄K-6G和活性翠蓝K-NG 6种商用酸性和活性染料中,蒽醌-2-磺酸钠有机体系对活性黄K-6G和活性艳红KD-8B的脱色率最高,对酸性蓝80和活性翠蓝K-NG的脱色率最低。  相似文献

生物吸附是微生物细胞和其它物质发生的一系列非发酵关联的吸附过程,其主要作用包括物理和化学吸附、静电作用、离子交换、络合、螯合、微量沉淀等。与生物降解相比,生物吸附不会产生有毒的代谢产物,为染料废水的处理和回收提供了一条经济可行的途径。综述了微生物对染料吸附的作用机制及影响因素如pH、温度、染料初始浓度等,介绍了生物吸附的发展现状及前景。  相似文献

Today, environment pollution control is a matter of concern, everybody is willing to make a product that should be ecofriendly. Nowadays, water resources are full of untreated waste materials, discharge of hazardous and toxic dyes coming from textile and other chemical industries. These environmental hazards are difficult to remove by commercial water treatment plans, thus we need something that would present an efficient means for removal of these hazards. In this research paper, we have synthesize silver nanoparticle in a green way by using aqueous extract of Allium cepa (onion), and further these silver nanoparticle were tested for the catalytic degradation of various dyes by UV/Visible spectroscopy and silver nanoparticle showed reduction in dyes intensity after a particular period of incubation time. SEM and TEM, Particle size and Zeta potential analysis was done to analyze the surface morphology, particle size range and stability of the silver nanoparticle. Greenly synthesized silver nanoparticle was found to be spherical in shape, having particle size value ranged from 50 to 100 nm with a zeta potential value of ?29 mV. An EDX spectroscopy method was used to confirm the presence of silver nanoparticle in the synthesized material. An X-ray crystallography was done to ensure the crystallinity of the silver nanoparticle. Further an ATR-FTIR was performed to confirm the capping of the silver nanoparticle with the phenolic group of the onion. All these study emphasized that silver nanoparticle capped with onion (AgNPs@Ac) is the excellent catalyst for the reduction of hazardous and toxic dyes as well as they serve best purpose of the eco-friendly approach.  相似文献

The chemical recycling of cellulosic fibres may represent a next-generation fibre–fibre recycling system for cotton textiles, though remaining challenges include how to accommodate fibre blends, dyes, wrinkle-free finishes, and other impurities from finishing. These challenges may disrupt the regeneration process steps and reduce the fibre quality. This study examines the impact on regenerated viscose fibre properties of a novel alkaline/acid bleaching sequence to strip reactive dyes and dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneureas (DMDHEU) wrinkle-free finish from cotton textiles. Potentially, such a bleaching sequence could advantageously be integrated into the viscose process, reducing the costs and environmental impact of the product. The study investigates the spinning performance and mechanical properties (e.g., tenacity and elongation) of the regenerated viscose fibres. The alkaline/acid bleaching sequence was found to strip the reactive dye and DMDHEU wrinkle-free finish from the cotton fabric, so the resulting pulp could successfully be spun into viscose fibres, though the mechanical properties of these fibres were worse than those of commercial viscose fibres. This study finds that reactive dyes and DMDHEU wrinkle-free finish affect the viscose dope quality and the regeneration performance. The results might lead to progress in overcoming quality challenges in cellulosic chemical recycling.  相似文献

污泥和谷壳为原料制备了污泥-谷壳吸附剂(SCA)。采用SCA处理酸性大红和碱性嫩黄模拟混合染料废水。通过动力学分析、FTIR表征和SEM表征对SCA吸附混合染料的机理进行了研究。实验结果表明:在吸附温度25 ℃、混合溶液中酸性大红和碱性嫩黄的质量浓度均为100 mg/L、SCA加入量0.5 g/L、吸附时间400 min的条件下,酸性大红的吸附量为125 mg/g,碱性嫩黄的吸附量为170 mg/g;SCA对混合染料的吸附行为符合拟二级反应动力学方程,液膜扩散为吸附的主要控制过程。表征结果显示:SCA孔隙发达且丰富,以中孔和细密的微孔为主,说明SCA具有较高的吸附能力; SCA中包含C—H,C—OH,C—C,CC等主要官能团,SCA对混合染料的吸附为物理吸附。  相似文献

Aqueous phase adsorption of three textile dyes onto a granular activated carbon produced from acid activation of almond shells is presented. Primarily, the sorption of three basic dyes, methylene blue, rhodamine b, and malachite green oxalate were studied. Four models, the Freundlich, the Langmuir, the Redlich-Peterson, and the Toth isotherms were compared for their quality of fit to the single-solute sorption data. Next, sorption of the three likely binary systems was examined. Four bi-solute models, the extended Langmuir with and without an interaction term, the extended Redlich-Peterson with an interaction term, and the empirical extended Freundlich model were used to predict sorption in the binary systems. Nonlinearly determined constants of the corresponding single-solute isotherms were used in the binary models to compare with experimental binary sorption data. For the single-solute system, the three-parameter models of the Redlich-Peterson and the Toth isotherms outperformed the Langmuir and Freundlich models. The empirical extended Freundlich model produced the closest comparison to the binary data in each system. In general, the nonlinear method provided a simple and computationally effective technique of producing optimal fitting parameters for the bi-solute sorption models.  相似文献

Traditional superabsorbent polymers have wide application potential as an adsorbent, but the poor physical and mechanical properties limit their further applications. To tentatively overcome this dilemma, a novel poly(acrylic acid)/poly(vinyl alcohol)/yeast superabsorbent polymers (PAA/PVA/yeast SAPs) with interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) were fabricated herein via solution polymerization. The mechanical stability tests showed that the resulting products could desirably resist the destruction of shear flow (<5000 rpm) and load pressure (<3 kg). The effects of yeast content, pH, contact time, initial dye concentration and temperature were systematically studied to evaluate their adsorption properties. Consecutive five cycles of adsorption–desorption indicated that their easy regeneration and reusability. More importantly, the PVA/PAA/yeast SAPs displayed brilliant pH-dependent selective adsorption for dyes in dye mixtures. It is believed hereby that the PAA/PVA/yeast SAPs can be expected to be economically and technically feasible for the scalable treatment of dyes wastewater.  相似文献

Three fluorescent dye traces were designed by Zapata Incorporated at a large portion of Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to replicate the migration of chlorinated ethene plumes from two target source areas and determine if commingling of those plumes has occurred. The target source areas are spatially separated, contributed contaminants into two aquifers, and were to be remediated from two different financial mechanisms. The nature of the shared fiscal responsibility for remediation of the commingled plumes was unclear. Background sampling was performed to verify that the preferred conservative dyes planned for use were suitable for the site. The fluorescent dyes used were fluorescein and eosine. Eosine dye was introduced into two wells in the upper saturated zone (USZ) under Building 3001 in July 2008. Fluorescein dye was introduced into four monitoring wells screened in the lower saturated zone (LSZ) and the lower lower saturated zone (LLSZ) in July 2008 at the industrial wastewater treatment plant. Zapata then conducted a second dye trace using fluorescein dye in a third USZ well to confirm the results of the eosine dye trace in the USZ under Building 3001. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Adsorption techniques employing activated carbon have been found to be reasonably effective in the removal of some of the ionic impurities in water. However, economic considerations may require the use of inexpensive sorbents which are either naturally available or available as waste products from manufacturing processes. Slag is one such waste product obtained during the manufacture of steel, and the present study investigates dye removal characteristics of slag from colored waters. Aqueous solutions prepared from commercial grade acid, basic, and disperse dyes were used in this study, and batch pH, kinetic, and isotherm studies were undertaken on a laboratory scale. The data were evaluated for applicability to the Langmuir, Freundlich, and BET isotherm models, and the removal capacity of slag was compared with that of granular activated carbon. Results indicated approximately 94% removal of the disperse dye by slag, compared with a removal of approximately 49% achieved by activated carbon. Removal of acid dyes (dyes containing anionic groups) was reasonably good (approximately 47 and 74%), though not as good as obtained using activated carbon (approximately 100%). Column studies were conducted with a disperse dye (nonionic, slightly soluble in water), and analysis of data showed a sorption capacity of 1.3 mg of disperse dye per gram of slag. However, effluent dye concentrations were found to be higher than the permissible levels for discharge to receiving waters.  相似文献

The current study describes an improved method for estimating the abundance of polycyclic aramatic hydrocarbon (PAH) degraders in contaminated soil and groundwater. Since the method is a simple incremental improvement to a commonly used approach, it can be easily introduced into the remediation practitioner's testing protocols by simply changing growth indicator dyes. The procedure described is relatively easy to conduct and provides an important addition to laboratories that are using conventional, nonmolecular techniques for microbial enumeration in their bioremediation programs. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
