Solid waste prediction is crucial for sustainable solid waste management. Usually, accurate waste generation record is challenge in developing countries which complicates the modelling process. Solid waste generation is related to demographic, economic, and social factors. However, these factors are highly varied due to population and economy growths. The objective of this research is to determine the most influencing demographic and economic factors that affect solid waste generation using systematic approach, and then develop a model to forecast solid waste generation using a modified Adaptive Neural Inference System (MANFIS). The model evaluation was performed using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results show that the best input variables are people age groups 0-14, 15-64, and people above 65 years, and the best model structure is 3 triangular fuzzy membership functions and 27 fuzzy rules. The model has been validated using testing data and the resulted training RMSE, MAE and R2 were 0.2678, 0.045 and 0.99, respectively, while for testing phase RMSE =3.986, MAE = 0.673 and R2 = 0.98.Implications: To date, a few attempts have been made to predict the annual solid waste generation in developing countries. This paper presents modeling of annual solid waste generation using Modified ANFIS, it is a systematic approach to search for the most influencing factors and then modify the ANFIS structure to simplify the model. The proposed method can be used to forecast the waste generation in such developing countries where accurate reliable data is not always available. Moreover, annual solid waste prediction is essential for sustainable planning. 相似文献

Concentrations of steroids and inorganic ions were measured in waste water of an aerated sand trap as well as in aerosol particles emitted from this tank at the waste water treatment plant (WWTP) of Bayreuth, Germany, in January and February 2003. The investigations comprised seven sterols, two estrogens, and several inorganic ions. Since an appropriate method for the determination of sterols in waste water was not available, a new method based on solid phase extraction was developed. The concentrations of the sterols coprostanol and cholesterol amounted to 30-180 microg l(-1) in waste water and to 400-5000 pg m(-3) in aerosol particles. All other sterols were present in markedly lower concentrations. The mean concentrations of the two estrogens estrone and 17beta-estradiol were about 165 pg m(-3) in aerosol particles. The steroid concentrations in both waste water and aerosol particles varied greatly over time, however with the exception of coprostanol, no clear correlation was detected between concentrations in waste water and aerosol particles. 相似文献

Cocaine abuse, a growing social problem, is currently estimated from population surveys, consumer interviews and crime statistics. A new approach based on the analysis of cocaine (COC) and metabolites, benzoylecgonine (BE) and ecgonine methyl ester (EME), in water samples was applied to 28 rivers and 37 waste water treatment plants in Belgium using solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. While EME was undetectable, COC and BE were detectable with concentrations ranging from <1 to 753 ng/L and <1 to 2258 ng/L, respectively. BE concentrations were employed to calculate the local amount of abused cocaine. The highest values (up to 1.8 g/day cocaine per 1000 inhabitants) were found in large cities and during weekends. The estimation of cocaine abuse through water analysis can be executed on regular basis without cooperation of patients. It also gives clear geographical information, while prevention campaigns can easily be implemented and evaluated. 相似文献

在亚临界实验条件下,以淀粉、纤维素类物质为模型化合物,H2O2为氧化剂,研究了厨余垃圾(大米、白菜)在亚临界水中部分氧化获取小分子有机酸的过程中处理时间、处理温度、加氧量对有机酸(甲酸、乙酸)生成的影响。以碳转化率为评价指标,确定反应最佳条件。实验结果表明:淀粉和纤维素分别在处理时间1~1.5 min,加氧量70%~100%,温度280℃;处理时间1~2 min,加氧量70%~100%,温度280~300℃条件下,生成有机酸浓度最大,达到最佳工艺条件。 相似文献

以高压热水为反应媒体处理厨余垃圾,得到液、气、固3种产物,并用GC-MS、GC-TCD和元素分析的方法对产物进行了表征。结果表明该技术处理厨余垃圾在实现减量化(达90.6%)和无害化的同时,可以达到资源化的目的。得出最优反应条件为:反应温度400℃,压力21.2 MPa,反应时间为40 min,优化的条件下固、液、气3种产物收率分别为21.5%、55.0%和5.2%。此外,对主要典型产物的形成机理进行了探讨。 相似文献

垃圾土持水率是估算填埋场淋沥液高度和分析填埋体稳定性的重要参数。通过对高压固结仪的改造,研制垃圾土持水率的室内实验仪器,并在该仪器上对取自我国南方某填埋场3个不同深度的大直径垃圾土试样进行各级荷载下的持水率实验。研究结果表明,随填埋深度增大,垃圾年份增加,垃圾土可降解度降低,腐殖质含量增大,垃圾土的持水率减小;随上覆压力增大,干重和湿重持水率减小,当上覆压力增大到一定程度,减小趋势变缓;随上覆压力的增大,体积持水率一般呈减小的趋势,但对于疏松垃圾土,在较小的压力下,体积持水率有增大的趋势,当压力增大到一定程度,则随压力的增大而减小;随干密度的增大,垃圾土干重和湿重持水率均减小。提出的垃圾土持水率的室内实验方法和研制的仪器合理可行。 相似文献

为探讨一种适用于大尺度、多断面和长时间的水质评价方法,用层次聚类分析将2006~2008年海河5个监测断面的165个水质样本分为20组,并用方差分析验证了结果的可靠性。用综合水质标识指数表示水质样本的综合特征,与单因子评价法相比,该方法充分考虑了最差水质因子的影响,避免了单因子评价法以偏概全的缺陷,且分辨率高。将评价结果分解到各断面,结果表明:密云水库、官厅水库和于桥水库的水质处于II~III类水之间,可满足作为饮用水水源水的要求,三岔口断面大部分时间为IV~V类水,张家口八号桥断面全年有6个月以上水质属于劣V类。 相似文献

The distribution between the aqueous and solid phase of 17 beta-estradiol in the ng-range in waste water was investigated by spiking experiments with a radio-labeled hormone. The distribution was measured by liquid scintillation counting. The major part of 17 beta-estradiol remained in the aqueous phase and did not adsorb to the solids. The fraction in the aqueous phase could be enriched by a conventional solid phase extraction with a recovery rate of up to 100%. Losses were negligible and the compound did not adsorb to the surfaces of glass bottles. 相似文献

A method of reporting water quality and assessing compliance with targets, based on the Biological Monitoring Working Party score system, is proposed. The use of the technique enables biologists to present operations managers, and other professionals, with quality data from any freshwater habitat in the form of a simple index. Results obtained can be compared with predefined targets based on river use, National Water Council class, or both. It may also be used to assess the degree of pollution in specific cases. The method is currently being used throughout the Anglian Water Authority region for small stream monitoring and, in some Divisions, for the presentation of all biological results. The technique has the potential to fully integrate biological monitoring into an operational role. 相似文献

Scrubber water samples from different combustion plants and gypsum samples as obtained in the flue gas washing with lime water were analyzed for PCDD/F. A carbon paste electrode modified with p-chloranil and carbon nanotubes was used for the sensitive and selective voltammetric determination of hydroxylamine (HX) and phenol (PL). The oxidation of HX at the modified electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperommetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The values of the catalytic rate constant (k), and diffusion coefficient (D) for HX were calculated. Square wave voltammetric peaks current of HX and PL increased linearly with their concentrations at the ranges of 0.1–172.0 and 5.0–512.0 μmol L?1, respectively. The detection limits for HX and PL were 0.08 and 2.0 μmol L?1, respectively. The separation of the anodic peak potentials of HX and PL reached to 0.65 V, using square wave voltammetry. The proposed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of HX and PL in water and wastewater samples. 相似文献
