本文对野生马齿苋种子的发芽特性进行了初步研究,结果表明,马齿苋种子发芽受温度、浸种时间、种子贮藏时间等因素影响.温度低于20℃时,不发芽,20℃时开始发芽,发芽适温为25~30℃,温度超过35℃时发芽受到抑制,在25℃下催芽,其发芽时间集中在24~48h内.温水浸种有利于发芽,浸种时间以12~24h为宜.马齿苋种子存在3~4个月的生理休眠期,用清水浸种可打破休眠,野外播种马齿苋时覆盖塑料小拱棚可明显提高发芽率和出苗率.  相似文献

通过离体选择抗赖氨酸加苏氨酸玉米突变体,不仅获得了积累游离苏氨酸和赖氨酸等氨基酸的突变类型,也选择到了种子蛋白组份发生改变的高蛋氨酸突变体和高赖氨酸体细胞无性系变异体。高蛋氨酸种子中总蛋氨酸的含量比对照增高22.6%,这是由于醇溶蛋白Zein-2部分及其蛋氨酸含量增高所致。高赖氨酸变异体种子游离必需氨基酸增高显著(2-10倍),总赖氨酸比对照亲本增高28.1%,含量约占种子干重的0.40%,种子蛋白清蛋白、球蛋白和谷蛋白组份含量增高而醇溶蛋白减少。高赖氨酸和高蛋氨酸特性遗传稳定,植株育性正常。  相似文献

用胶体金免疫定位技术对未成熟油菜种子的子叶细胞中BL的定位研究结果表明,金颗粒除主要分布在细胞核外,细胞质中也有少量金颗粒标记,但液泡和细胞壁中没有观察到金颗粒存在外施TS-303可明显导致未成熟种子的子叶细胞核中金颗粒标记密度的大量增加,说明TS-303很可能只影响幼嫩组织的细胞核.  相似文献

锦鸡儿属(Caragana Fabr.)植物是黄土高原植被的重要组分,对维持生态系统的功能具有重要作用,在黄土高原的植被恢复中具有重要意义.外来种中间锦鸡儿(C.intermedia Kuang et H.C.Fu)和乡土种白毛锦鸡儿(C.1icen-tiana Hand-Mazz)、甘蒙锦鸡儿(Caragana opulerts Kom.)种子在室内5℃、10℃、15℃、20℃、25℃、30℃恒温及10℃/5℃、25℃/15℃、30℃/20℃、35℃/20℃昼(10h)/夜(14h)的变化温度下培养.结果表明,中间锦鸡儿适于萌发的温度范围最为宽泛,为5℃到30℃,萌发率普遍较高.甘蒙锦鸡儿适于萌发的温度在30℃以下,萌发率很高,大部分为100%,5℃下仍有较高的萌发率.而白毛锦鸡儿适于萌发的温度范围相对较窄,萌发率普遍较低,5℃时种子不萌发.昼/夜温度变化对3种锦鸡儿种子萌发的影响不大.从萌发速度来看,中间锦鸡儿倾向于适宜温度范围内在很短时间内很快完成萌发,高温下萌发速度更快,另有0.8%的硬实种子.白毛锦鸡儿萌发速度最慢,呈现每次都有少部分种子萌发的格局,另外有5.1%的硬实种子进入持久种子库.而甘蒙锦鸡儿的萌发速度介于二者之间,且没有硬实种子.3种锦鸡儿种子萌发格局与其地带性分布和生境有关,萌发格局的不同也揭示了这3种锦鸡儿在不同生境下的繁殖更新策略.图2表1参17  相似文献

研究了我国四川和甘肃地区特有珍稀濒危植物岷江柏(Cupressus chenggiana S.Y.Hu)的4个地理种群球果和种子的形态特征,分析了不同生境条件下岷江柏的地理差异.结果表明:岷江柏球果呈椭球形,长(l)为1.5~2.5cm,宽(6)为1.5~2.0cm,重(m)为1.5~4.5g,球果鳞片数为8~11片,球果内种子粒数为40~70粒.在调查的4个岷江柏种群中,小金县种群的球果最大、球果内种子数最多,马尔康县种群和金川县种群的球果重量、球果内种子数居中,理县种群的球果最小、球果内种子数最少.讨论认为,4个种群球果和种子大小特征存在极显著差异,不同种群球果和种子的形态差异与岷江柏的种群遗传特征、气候特征和生境特征有着密切的关系.图3表7参25  相似文献

对高寒草甸藏嵩草(Kobresia tibetica)种群的繁殖对策进行了初步研究。结果表明,藏嵩草属寒冷中生密丛短根茎地下芽植物,在高寒生境中采用了以营养繁殖为主,有性繁殖为辅的繁殖策略,具体体现在以几个方面:藏嵩草种子产量nA=200.1m^-2,但种子萌发率较低,室内和野外萌发率分别仅有4%和2%,经氢氧化钠溶液和赤霉素溶液处理后的种子萌发率分别为1%和6.7%,而剥去种皮后种子萌发率达47.3%,所以种皮坚硬是造成种子萌发率低的主要原因;进入种子库、保留至返青期且具有活性的种子仅占种子总数的31.49%,单位面积上理论实生苗数仅为1.26m^-2,与此相反,藏嵩草营养繁殖所形成的新个体数为101.32m^2,,远远多于种子萌发所形成的实生苗数,此外,藏嵩草营养繁殖效力也远高于有性繁殖效4力。营养繁殖效力占总数繁殖效力的83.46%(167)。表1参7  相似文献

对引起白兰瓜贮藏期果腐病的病原菌进行了分离、鉴定和致病性测定,明确了Fusarium lateritium Nees,Cephalothecium roseum,Aspergillus spp.,Penicillium spp.,Rhizopus stolonifer等5种引起白兰瓜果实腐烂的病原真菌,其中以F.lateritium Nees的危害最为严重,为优势菌,其次为C.roseum.而F.lateritium在pH6的Richard培养液中,置25℃黑暗静置培养14d后获得的培养滤液对白兰瓜种子胚根的抑制率最强.F.lateritium产生的毒素为非专化性毒素.表4参7  相似文献

Despite extensive study of pollination and plant reproduction on the one hand, and of plant demography on the other, we know remarkably little about links between seed production in successive generations, and hence about long-term population consequences of variation in pollination success. We bridged this "generation gap" in Ipomopsis aggregata, a long-lived semelparous wildflower that is pollinator limited, by adding varying densities of seeds to natural populations and following resulting plants through their entire life histories. To determine whether pollen limitation of seed production constrains rate of population growth in this species, we sowed seeds into replicated plots at a density that mimics typical pollination success and spacing of flowering plants in nature, and at twice that density to mimic full pollination. Per capita offspring survival, flower production, and contribution to population increase (lambda) did not decline with sowing density in this experiment, suggesting that typical I. aggregata populations freed from pollen limitation will grow over the short term. In a second experiment we addressed whether density dependence would eventually erase the growth benefits of full pollination, by sowing a 10-fold range of seed densities that falls within extremes estimated for the natural "seed rain" that reaches the soil surface. Per capita survival to flowering and age at flowering were again unaffected by sowing density, but offspring size, per capita flower production, and lambda declined with density. Such density dependence complicates efforts to predict population dynamics over the longer term, because it changes components of the life history (in this case fecundity) as a population grows. A complete understanding of how constraints on seed production affect long-term population growth will hinge on following offspring fates at least through flowering of the first offspring generation, and doing so for a realistic range of population densities.  相似文献

Abstract: Tropical pastures present multiple barriers to tree regeneration and restoration. Relict trees serve as “regeneration foci” because they ameliorate the soil microclimate and serve as safe spots for dispersers. Here, we describe another mechanism by which remnant trees may facilitate pasture regeneration: the presence of seed banks in the canopy soil that accumulates from decomposing epiphytes within the crowns of mature remnant trees in tropical cloud forest pastures. We compared seed banks of canopy soils (histosols derived from fallen leaves, fruits, flower, and twigs of host trees and epiphytes, dead bryophytes, bark, detritus, dead animals, and microorganisms, and dust that accumulate on trunks and the upper surfaces of large branches) in pastures, canopy soils in primary forest trees, and soil on the forest floor in Monteverde, Costa Rica. There were 5211 epiphytic and terrestrial plant seeds in the three habitats. All habitats were dominated by seeds in a relatively small number of plant families, most of which were primarily woody, animal pollinated, and animal dispersed. The density of seeds on the forest floor was greater than seed density in either pasture‐canopy or forest‐canopy soils; the latter two did not differ. Eight species in 44 families and 61 genera from all of the habitats were tallied. There were 37 species in the pasture‐canopy soil, 33 in the forest‐canopy soil, and 57 on the forest floor. Eleven species were common to all habitats. The mean species richness in the pasture canopy was significantly higher than the forest canopy (F =83.38; p < 0.02). Nonmetric multidimensional scaling ordination revealed that the communities were distinct. Greenhouse experiments verified that many of these seeds were viable, with 29 taxa germinating (23 taxa in pruned mats [mimic of exposed conditions] and 16 taxa in control mats [intact conditions]) within 2 months of observation. Nearly half the species that germinated were characteristic of primary forests (primary forest samples, 19%; pasture samples, 29%). This supports the idea that canopy seed banks of pasture trees can function as time capsules by providing propagules that are removed in both space and time from the primary forest. Their presence may enhance the ability of pastures to regenerate more quickly, reinforcing the importance of trees in agricultural settings.  相似文献

投影寻踪技术为一种新兴的非线性分析方法,但存在计算过程复杂、编程实现困难等缺陷,鉴于此,我们提出采用模拟退火法直接优化投影寻踪技术的投影函数和投影方向以克服目前投影寻踪技术的种种缺点.在此基础上,提出基于模拟退火法的改进的投影寻踪的相思树种子质量评价模型,利用该模型可把各相思树种批测定指标综合成一维投影值,投影值越大,表示该种批质量越好,根据投影值的大小可对相思树种批样本集进行合理评价.实例质量评价结果表明,直接由样本数据训练的改进投影寻踪林木种子质量评价模型用于相思树种子质量评价简单可行,具有较强的适用性和应用性,可操作性强.基于模拟退火法的改进的投影寻踪法可广泛应用于种子质量评价、群落分类及环境质量评价等研究中各类非线性、高维数据的分级与评价.表1参11  相似文献

Summary Adult bananaquits on negative energy budgets were presented with a patch containing two flower types with identical mean rewards, but different variances. The flower patch contained a random array of 85 yellow and 85 red artificial flowers. Flowers of one color were filled with the same quantity of nectar (constant flowers); flowers of the other color were filled with variable quantities of nectar (variable flowers). In the first series of experiments the birds were given three presentations, followed by three more presentations with the flower colors reversed, to control for color preferences. Some individuals were occasionally indifferent during a presentation, but overall the birds significantly preferred the constant flowers. In the second series of experiments two birds were give five presentations of the floral patch during a day at a rate less than minimally required to meet all 24-h energy costs. In all experiments, bananaquits on negative energy budgets were either indifferent or risk-averse, but never risk-prone. The absence of risk-prone foraging might be attributed to resource dispersion pattern, reward skew, or a species characteristic.  相似文献

We chose the interaction between the Mediterranean dwarf palm (Chamaerops humilis) and its major seed disperser, the Eurasian badger (Meles meles), to evaluate the hypothesis that endozoochory is characterized by a mixture of conflicting and overlapping interests, with the capacity of being positive or negative for plant fitness. For instance, because of the potential protective role against invertebrate seed predators of C. humilis pulp, we expected that badger-ingested diaspores (i.e., seeds without pulp) would show lower survival than control seeds with the pulp attached. Conversely, due to the possible germination inhibitory function of C. humilis fruit pulp, it was also likely that badger-ingested seeds germinate in higher proportion than control seeds. We evaluated our predictions by carrying out a field sowing and monitoring it over two years. We estimated several stage-specific transition probabilities as well as the cumulative probability of seedling recruitment under different treatments. Our experimental results revealed the multifunctionality of C. humilis fruit pulp and that fruit ingestion by badgers had conflicting outcomes for the palm. As predicted, seed survival was much lower and seed predation by invertebrates much higher for badger-ingested than for control seeds, suggesting a defensive role of C. humilis ripe fruit pulp. All early-emerged seedlings came from badger-ingested seeds, suggesting an inhibitory function of fruit pulp. Though we did not find an effect of removal from the maternal environment on most components of fitness, seedling survival for badger-ingested seeds was higher away from than beneath conspecifics. Badgers imposed a sizeable short-term fitness cost to C. humilis and therefore could be categorized as a "dangerous liaison." Nonetheless, because of the high mobility of the badger, its dispersal service appears paramount given the severe fragmentation and isolation of most C. humilis populations across the highly humanized Mediterranean basin. Our study thus illustrates the necessity of assessing concurrently direct and indirect effects of plant-disperser interactions at different stages of the plant life cycle and recruitment process.  相似文献

Bee-pollinated plants are frequently dichogamous: e.g. each flower has a discernable male and female phase, with only the male phase offering a pollen reward. Pollen-collecting bees should therefore discriminate against female-phase flowers to maximise their rate of pollen harvest, but this behaviour would reduce plant fitness due to inferior pollination. Here, we test the hypothesis that flowers use pollen-mimicking floral guides to prevent flower-phase discrimination. Such floral guides resemble pollen in spectral reflection properties and are widespread among angiosperm flowers. In an array of artificial flowers, bumblebees learned less well to discriminate between flower variants simulating different flowering phases when both flower variants carried an additional pollen-yellow guide mark. This effect depended crucially on the pollen-yellow colour of the guide mark and on its spatial position within the artificial flower. We suggest that floral guides evolved to inhibit flower-phase learning in bees by exploiting the innate colour preferences of their pollinators.  相似文献

The earlier flowering times exhibited by many plant species are a conspicuous sign of climate change. Altered phenologies have caused concern that species could suffer population declines if they flower at times when effective pollinators are unavailable. For two perennial wildflowers, Tradescantia ohiensis and Asclepias incarnata, we used an experimental approach to explore how changing phenology affects the taxonomic composition of the pollinator assemblage and the effectiveness of individual pollinator taxa. After finding in the previous year that fruit set varied with flowering time, we manipulated flowering onset in greenhouses, placed plants in the field over the span of five weeks, and measured pollinator effectiveness as the number of seeds produced after a single visit to a flower. The average effectiveness of pollinators and the expected rates of pollination success were lower for plants of both species flowering earlier than for plants flowering at historical times, suggesting there could be reproductive costs to earlier flowering. Whereas for A. incarnata, differences in average seed set among weeks were due primarily to changes in the composition of the pollinator assemblage, the differences for T. ohiensis were driven by the combined effects of compositional changes and increases over time in the effectiveness of some pollinator taxa. Both species face the possibility of temporal mismatch between the availability of the most effective pollinators and the onset of flowering, and changes in the effectiveness of individual pollinator taxa through time may add an unexpected element to the reproductive consequences of such mismatches.  相似文献
