吡虫啉对蜜蜂幼虫的室内毒性研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
吡虫啉是目前使用最广泛的新烟碱类农药,其不合理使用破坏蜜蜂的嗅觉记忆能力,影响采集行为,导致多种亚致死效应。利用室内人工饲养蜜蜂幼虫技术,选取意大利蜜蜂幼虫为研究对象,经3 d适应性饲养后,连续3 d喂食含不同浓度的吡虫啉日粮,测定蜜蜂幼虫的存活率、化蛹率和羽化率,评估吡虫啉对蜜蜂幼虫生长发育影响。结果表明,吡虫啉处理剂量为15ng·幼虫~(-1)时,并不影响蜜蜂幼虫存活率、化蛹率和羽化率;当处理剂量达到150 ng·幼虫~(-1)时,蜜蜂幼虫羽化率下降,但不影响蜜蜂幼虫的存活率和化蛹率;幼虫7 d半数致死剂量为2 300 ng·幼虫~(-1)。高剂量吡虫啉对蜜蜂幼虫存活率、化蛹率和羽化率均存在影响,处理剂量越高,存活率、化蛹率和羽化率越低,呈高度负相关(r=-0.99,-0.94,-0.89),同时蜜蜂幼虫的羽化时间延长。研究可为吡虫啉的合理使用提供科学参考。  相似文献

黄刺蛾Cmdocampa flavescens Walker 是我国林木、果树和园林绿化树上的重要害虫。该虫在湖南省衡阳地区1年发生1代,以老熟幼虫在茧内滞育越夏越冬,越冬幼虫于次年4月中旬开始化蛹,4月下旬至5月上旬为化蛹盛期,5月中旬成虫开始羽化,5月下旬幼虫开始孵化,6月下旬幼虫开始老熟做茧,7月上旬至次年4月中旬为幼虫滞育期。幼虫取食危害期仅1个月左右,幼虫在茧中滞育时间长达280d以上。  相似文献

The ophiuroid Ophiothrix oerstedi Lütken spawned in the laboratory at Barbados, West Indies, from August, 1975 until early December. The embryo passes through a wrinkled blastula stage, and the larva is a reduced lecithotrophic ophiopluteus with a shortened pelagic existence. A larva of this type is unusual for brittle stars in general and unique for ophiothricids for which development has been described. Metamorphosis is completed 4.3 days (24° to 27°C) after fertilization with a single pair of ciliated larval arms, the postero-lateral arms, being retained as a swimming device for the late larva. Settlement, with subsequent separation of the postero-lateral arms from the young brittle-star, begins as early as 4.5 days, but can be delayed for at least one week, at the end of which time midwater separation can occur resulting in the pelagic dispersal of post-larvae. A comparison of gametic and larval characteristics of O. oerstedi with the literature suggests that the larva of this species is most closely allied to the abbreviated developers. The adaptive significance of this larval form is discussed.  相似文献

The means of detecting downwelling light for counterillumination in several midwater animals has been examined. Eyes and extraocular photoreceptors (drosal photosensitive vesicles in the enoploteuthid squid Abraliopsis sp. B and pineal organs in the myctophid fish Myctophum spinosum) were alternately exposed to overhead light or covered by a small opaque shield above the animal and the bioluminescent response of the animal was monitored. Covering either the eyes or the extraocular photoreceptors resulted in a reduction in the intensity of counterillumination. Preliminary experiments examining the bioluminescent feedback mechanism for monitoring intensity of bioluminescence during counterillumination in the midwater squid Abralia trigonura indicated that the ventral photosensitive vesicles are responsible for bioluminescent feedback.  相似文献

X-ray powder diffraction was used to study shell calcifications of the oyster Ostrea edulis, sampled in the Limski Kanal, Istria (Adriatic Sea), in May 1992. All the developmental stages were followed, from the embryonic stage through the transition between the trochophore and veliger larva (prodissoconch I and II) and later, after swarming, the pelagic free-swimming larval stages, up to their settlement and attachment (from the D-shaped to the fully formed pediveliger larva), and finally during metamorphosis and juvenile stages (dissoconch). In the first gastrula stage, only an amorphous tissue is present (a periostracum and organic matrix). The beginning of shell formation (at the end of gastrulation) in early trochophores is manifested by the appearance of calcite (up to 1–7% of total volume) and then aragonite (about 1%). In the later stage of the veliger larva the fraction of calcite decreases as well as the amorphous fraction, while the fraction of aragonite rapidly increases. In the prodissoconch II stage and during the whole pelagic period aragonite is dominant, accompanied by a very small amorphous fraction and traces of calcite. The shell mineral composition does not change until metamorphosis, whereupon the fraction of calcite rapidly increases and the fraction of aragonite decreases. The postmetamorphic valves of the juvenile and adult oyster consist mainly of calcite, except the resilium and myostracum which remain aragonitic, possibly as a continuation of the inner layer of the larval shell. Rhabdopleura compacta (Hineks) has a motile larva. It is evenly ciliated, and swims by rotating about its long axis. The larva is lecithotrophic, and contains a considerable amount of yolk within the blastocoel. The blastocoel is lined with a layer of flattened cells early in development, before gastrulation has begun. The endoderm is formed by invagination. Initially, the endoderm cells are tall, columnar, and contain much yolk. Nerve fibres can be seen amongst the ectoderm cells very early in development. The ectoderm cells are separated from the inner layers and yolk by a basement lamella. There is yolk within the cells as well as in the blastocoel. Some of the yolk within the blastocoelic cavity is contained within cells and some of it is extracellular. The larvae settle during gastrulation, attaching themselves to the substratum. They tend to settle in the highest parts of upturned, empty, lamellibranch shells. Soon afterwards the body regions of the adult become recognisable.  相似文献

Plankton collected at discrete depths in Santa Monica Bay, California, USA, during January 1982 were examined for fish eggs and larvae that had been attacked or consumed by zooplankton. The bongo net remained open for only 3 min and samples were preserved within 5 min of capture. Juvenile and adult fishes that had been captured by otter trawl and preserved within 20 min of capture were examined for ingested fish eggs and larvae. Three copepods (Corycaeus anglicus, Labidocera trispinosa, and Tortanus discaudatus), one euphausid larva (Nyctiphanes simplex), one amphipod (Monoculoides sp.), and an unidentified decapod larva were found attached to fish larvae in the preserved plankton samples (attachment to 23% of the fish larvae was observed in one sample). Overall, about 5% of the white croaker (Genyonemus lineatus) larvae and 2% of the northern anchovy (Engraulis mordax) larvae had attached zooplankton predators. Most fish larvae with attached zooplankton predators were small. We found no indication of zooplankton predation on fish eggs. Few fish eggs and larvae were found in the digestive tracts of juvenile or adult fishes, and the ingested fish larvae were relatively large. The discussion considers apparent preyspecificity of the zooplankton predators as well as potential biases that may be associated with preserved samples collected by nets.  相似文献

We describe aspects of the anatomy and suspension-feeding mechanism of a single Planctosphaera pelagica captured from the plankton in June 1992 off Bermuda in the western Atlantic. We also describe several unusual features of the larva, including its occurrence in surface waters, unusually large size, and limited swimming ability. Our account of the form and feeding behavior of P. pelagica is the first based on observations of a specimen captured and observed alive. Our limited observations suggest that the planctosphaera may use a suspension-feeding mechanism much like that of the other feeding deuterostome larvae (the pluteus and bipinnaria larvae of echinoderms and the tornaria larva of enteropneust hemichordates) known to capture food particles using a single ciliated band. Although we could not observe cilia directly, the movement of dye streams and food particles and the structure of the ciliated band suggest that some particles may be captured at the ciliated band by the reversal of ciliary beat. The planctosphaera possesses many prominent mucous glands near the food grooves. This suggests an important role of mucus in the biology of the larva, but we were not able to observe directly any role of mucus in particle capture.  相似文献

Summary. Young larvae of Adalia bipunctata search an area more intensively when exposed to the odour from other larvae feeding on aphids than when exposed only to the odour of aphids. In an olfactometer young larvae were significantly attracted either to the odour of crushed aphids or larvae feeding on aphids, but not to that of aphids, larvae, larvae plus aphids or larvae feeding on an artificial diet. That is, the change in searching behaviour appears in response to a volatile released by aphids when attacked. The odour released by crushed aphids is made up entirely of aphid alarm pheromone, β-farnesene. It is likely that the adaptive significance of this response is that it increases the ability of larvae to locate larvae that have already caught prey. By sharing the aphid kill of another larva it is likely that a first instar ladybird larva greatly increases its probability of surviving to the next instar. It is suggested that this social feeding is facilitated by egg clustering, which also may additionally account for why aphidophagous ladybirds lay their eggs in clusters. Cultures of developing larvae of Gibbula cineraria (L.) were obtained from adults spawning in the laboratory, and these cultures were reared to settlement of the larvae at 9 days. Dispersal of the outer jelly coat of the egg appeared to be delayed in the presence of spermatozoa. Early cleavage followed the typical spiral pattern, and gastrulation was by epiboly. The trochophore larvae hatched at about 28 h, before shell-formation began. The first 90° of torsion was completed between 48 and 56 h. The second part of torsion was completed within 4 days, and preliminary attempts to retract into the shell were made at 76h. After 96 h, although torsion was complete, the larvae were still unable to retract fully into the shell. The larvae remained in a stage of swimming-attempted creeping until the 4th or 5th day after torsion was complete, but were unable to pull the shell upright until the end of this time. Throughout this stage, the velum was reduced and was finally shed. The animals all died after metamorphosis, which occurred at about 9 days, when the larval shell comprised 1 1/2 whorls, with a breadth of 250 to 300m. Settlement appeared to be passive, i.e., governed by wave action and tides. In the light of these observations, theories concerning torsion are reappraised. The advantage to the larva of torsion is not clear, as the larvae are not able to retract into the shell until after metamorphosis, yet it is clear from previous authors' observations that the first part of torsion in most gastropods involves only larval structures. This makes it difficult to suggest that torsion is entirely of advantage to the adult snails. It is thus proposed that the two components of torsion may have evolved independently. The first, relatively rapid component of torsion, resulting in 90° of displacement of the mantle cavity in relation to the visceral mass, may be of advantage to the swimming larva. The final, slower component of torsion may be of advantage to the newly-metamorphosed benthic snail, and is the only component of torsion found in those gastropods which have no free-swimming larva.  相似文献

Most marine fishes undergo a pelagic larval phase, the early life history stage that is often associated with a high rate of mortality due to starvation and predation. We present the first study that examines the effects of prey swimming behavior on prey-capture kinematics in marine fish larvae. Using a digital high-speed video camera, we recorded the swimming velocity of zooplankton prey (Artemia franciscana, Brachionus rotundiformis, a ciliate species, and two species of copepods) and the feeding behavior of red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus) larvae. From the video recordings we measured: (1) zooplankton swimming velocity in the absence of a red drum larva; (2) zooplankton swimming velocity in the presence of a red drum larva; and (3) the excursion and timing of key kinematic events during prey capture in red drum larvae. Two-way ANOVA revealed that: (1) swimming velocity varied among zooplankton prey; and (2) all zooplankton prey, except rotifers and ciliates, increased their swimming velocity in the presence of a red drum larva. The kinematics of prey capture differed between two developmental stages in S. ocellatus larvae. Hyoid-stage larvae (3–14 days old) fed on slow swimming B. rotundiformis (rotifers) while hyoid-opercular stage larvae (15 days and older) ate fast moving A. franciscana. Hyoid-opercular stage red drum larvae had a larger gape, hyoid depression and lower jaw angle, and a longer gape cycle duration relative to their hyoid-stage conspecifics. Interestingly, the feeding repertoire within either stage of red drum development was not affected by prey type. Knowledge of the direct relationship between fish larvae and their prey aids in our understanding of optimal foraging strategies and of the sources of mortality in marine fish larvae.  相似文献

One of the biggest obstacles to studying recruitment variation in marine bivalves is the need to collect and process large numbers of plankton samples. Larval bivalves are notoriously difficult, if not impossible, to identify to species using morphological criteria alone. Remote time-series collections could satisfy the sampling challenge, but efficient identification techniques must be developed to obtain species-specific data. Thus, we have developed a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) identification assay in which a single reaction is capable of accurate and efficient discrimination of five target bivalve species based on the size of cytochrome oxidase I products. The assay was tested with cultured and field-sampled larvae as well as adult genomic DNAs. Using a single whole larva as template, multiplex PCR reactions were capable of discriminating among the commercially important bivalves: Mercenaria mercenaria, Argopecten irradians, Mulinia lateralis, Spisula solidissima and Mya arenaria. Overall accuracy was 92%, including very few false positives. The efficiency of this assay stems from its ability to discriminate multiple target species with a single molecular step that ultimately can be automated to process large numbers of larvae. Aspects of the reproductive biology of Pycnogonum littorale (Ström) are examined. Vitellogenesis occurs between November and August, the process resembling that in Nymphon gracile, annelids, and Limulus polyphemus, in which the majority of the yolk is synthesized within the oöcyte, with only a small contribution from outside, thus contrasting with the method in insects. The mode of formation of the mature yolk platelets shows similarities with the process described in Cambarus spp. Growth occurs in the post larva by a series of moults, and sometimes in the adult by a process not involving moults. The male usually has 9 moults and the female 10 or 11.  相似文献

Ptilosarcus (Leioptilus) guerneyi (Gray) maintained in the laboratory, were observed to spawn in late March, 1972. Gametes, developed in the leaf proper, discharged through the mouths of feeding polyps and were fertilized externally in the sea water. The sea pen's eggs are 500 to 600 in diameter; a large female is capable of producing over 200,000 eggs in one season. A pear-shaped and free-swimming planula larva developed 4 days after fertilization, at a temperature of 12 °C. The larvae were ready to settle and metamorphose when 7 days old if favorable substratum was available, but would remain as planulae for at least 30 days if kept in glass dishes only. The 30-day-old larvae would metamorphose if a suitable substratum (coarse sand, for example) was presented. The larvae do not feed and, hence, development is lecithotrophic. Studies of histogenesis showed that metamorphosis greatly enhanced the rate of cellular differentiation. The high fecundity, lecithotrophic development, and the ability of substratum selection by the larvae explain the success of this species in maintaining a high-density population in many areas of sandy substratum in the shallow waters of Puget Sound (USA), despite the fact that it is preyed upon by 7 species of predators.  相似文献

Initiation of coral-skeleton formation was studied in the reef-coral Pocillopora damicornis Lamarck. Observations were made on sequential skeletal growth stages of newly settled planula larvae during the first 22 days following settling onto glass microscope slides. Techniques used include phase light microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, and powder X-ray and selected area electron micro-diffraction. Formation of the skeleton is initiated immediately on settling of the larva. The primary calcareous elements are of two types — flattened spherulitic platelets, and smaller rod-like granules. Rudimentary primary septa are clearly defined within 6 h after settling. Fusion of the primary calcareous elements results in the formation of the larval basal disc within 48 to 72 h. With transmission electron microscopy, this basal disc is found to differ from subsequent adult calcification in (1) considerably lesser degree of mineralization, (2) smaller crystal size, (3) more random orientation of the crystals, and (4) the presence of trace amounts of calcite in addition to aragonite. The alimentary tract of the nauplius larva of Balanus spp. consists of cuticle-lined foregut and hindgut, with intervening endodermal midgut constricted into anterior and posterior regions. The anterior midgut cells in the region of the constriction (constriction cells) secrete proteins (probably digestive enzymes). The remaining anterior midgut cells, often containing lipid droplets, form the absorptive region of the tract. Glycoprotein globules and lipid droplets within anterior midgut cells are the remants of the yolk in a pre-hatched larva, this yolk additionally supporting the larva through the non-feeding first nauplius stage. Nauplius Stages II to VI are actively feeding planktonic stages which increase in size and build up lipid reserves. These accumulated reserves support the non-feeding cyprid, first through its planktonic life and then through settlement and subsequent metamorphosis to the juvenile barnacle. Juvenile barnacles start to feed between 2 and 5 days after metamorphosis.  相似文献

The behaviour of pediveligers of Ostrea edulis L. during attachment can be divided into 5 clearly defined phases. These behavioural phases are generally successive, and may be a hierarchy of fixed motor patterns which terminates in the consummatory act of cementing. During attachment, the larva utilises two different mechanisms of movement: the first, a fast, smooth, gliding action is probably due to cilia only; the second, a jerky, muscular method which becomes progressively slower as cementing is approached, is related to the burrowing movements of adult lamellibranchs. The byssus thread, which is discharged during the period of muscular locomotion, was the only secretion seen, but the site of its discharge could not be determined by direct observation.  相似文献

During the course of its embryonic development, the Canadian lobster Homarus americanus Milne-Edwards exhibits steady increases in water content (56.2 to 86.8%) and ash (5.8 to 21.2%), and a progressive decrease in energy content from 6636 to 4292 cal/g dry weight. Mean dry weight of a single egg is 965 g, equivalent to 6.4 cal; a freshly hatched egg. The lobster hatches about 1,500 larvae per night over a period of 4 to 5 days. Dry weight, ash and calorific contents of larvae hatched on different days show considerable variations. After larvae hatch on the first day, continuous salt absorption by eggs to hatch on subsequent days leads to a steady increase in ash content from 143 g/larva hatched on the first day to 255 g/larva hatched on the fourth day, and consequently, to an increase in dry weight from 854 to 956 g/larva. Metabolism of embryos (0.1 cal/day), which are yet to be hatched on subsequent days, depletes the calorific content per unit weight (from 4637 to 3837 cal/g dry weight) as well as per larva (from 3.98 to 3.67 cal).Dedicated to my colleague K.-H. The early development of Odontaster validus at McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, is indirect and includes equal cleavage, a convoluted blastula, a free-swimming coeloblastula, a gastrula, and a feeding bipinnaria larva. Development differs from that of other asteroids in two respects: (1) The developmental rate is extremely slow; blastulae form nearly 2 days after fertilization, gastrulation begins after 7 days, and the bipinnaria develops in about 40 to 55 days. The slow developmental rate appears to be only partly related to the low environmental temperature (-1.5°C). (2) The embryos and larvae are largely demersal. Such behavior may be an adaptation to keep the larvae out of antarctic surface waters, as does brooding in many other polar echinoderms.  相似文献
