选取降解秸秆较快且形态差异较大的10株丝状真菌,以玉米秆芯为材料,研究其降解秸秆的协同性.结果表明:供试10株丝状真菌在侵入秸秆内部后都具有排斥其他丝状真菌侵入的倾向.利用平板对峙法研究这10株丝状真菌在培养基PDA上生长的相互影响,结果表明供试10株丝状真菌也普遍具有相互竞争和抑制的作用,没有发现促进生长现象.根据菌落形态、菌丝和孢子形态对10株丝状真菌进行了鉴定.在这10株真菌中,有3株(F1、F7、F10)是循环抑制,分类学上分别归属于Mucor lamprosporus lender,Neurospora sitophila Sh.Et dodge和Phytophthora cactorum(L.et C.)Schrot..结论:侵人秸秆内10株丝状真菌阻止外源真菌入侵.  相似文献

The interaction between atrazine, a triazine herbicide, and a series of decay fungi was characterized in terms of biodegradation of the herbicide and its influence on fungal growth. The following fungi were studied: thermophilic cellulolytic (Penicillium sp. 13) and noncellulolytic (Humicola lanuginosa sp. 5 and 12) strains isolated from self‐heated plant composts, mesophilic diphenol oxidase producing strain Mycelia sterilia INBI 2–26, white‐rot fungi Cerrena maxima, Coriolopsis fulvocinerea and Coriolus hirsutus. Competitive enzyme immunoassay was elaborated for detection of atrazine in cultural liquid. During agar plate cultivation the growth of Humicola sp. 5 was promoted by atrazine whereas the growth of Humicola sp. 12 and Penicillium sp. 13 was suppressed whereas M. sterilia INBI 2–26 was not affected by the herbicide. Neither atrazine‐accelerated nor atrazine‐depressed thermophilic strains decomposed atrazine during 21‐day cultivation according to ELISA data. In contrast, white‐rot fungi Coriolus hirsutus, Coriolopsis fuhocinerea and Cerrena maxima degraded nearly 50% of the herbicide in 5‐day submerged cultivation and 80–92% of the herbicide up to the 40th day. The soil strain M. sterilia INBI 2–26 decomposed 70% of atrazine in 17‐day cultivation. The degradation level depended of the time of atrazine introduction to the growing media. The relationships between the degree of atrazine decomposition and laccase and Mn‐peroxidase production were shown.  相似文献

Developmental and ultrastructural aspects of conidium and conidiogenous cell formation in two species of marine hyphomycetes, Asteromyces cruciatus and Zalerion maritimum, are described, and a discussion of their accomodation in the experimental classification of Fungi Imperfecti, which is based on developmental characters, is presented. The blastic, basipetal and whorled pattern of conidiogenesis in A. cruciatus is compared to diagrammatic interpretations of conidium and conidiogenous cell formation in other hyphomycetous fungi, including Tritirachium album, Nodulisporium hinnuleum, Botrytis cinerea and Cladobotryum variospermum. Helicoid conidium formation in z. maritimum is also described, and it is suggested that the characters of this distinctive mode of blastic ontogeny define a separate category in the experimental classification which would include a large number of developmentally-related species.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the genera Althornia, Aplanochytrium, Japonochytrium, Schizochytrium and Thraustochytrium is described, and all are regarded as members of the new order Thraustochytriales Sparrow. Species considered are Althornia crouchii, Aplanochytrium kerguelensis, Hyalochlorella marina, Japonochytrium sp., Schizochytrium aggregatum, Thraustochytrium kinnei and T. striatum. All but H. marina are, on ultrastructural evidence, related genera, and some speculative suggestions are made about possible interrelationships both between the species discussed, between the Thraustochytriales and Labyrinthulales, and between these two and other major taxa.  相似文献

Bioremediation potential of bacteria and fungi isolated from sludge samples has been investigated (Danube alluvium, Pančevo, Serbia). Total isolated microorganisms were divided into three parts. One part was added with actidione antifungicide. The second part was added with streptomycin antibiotic. The third part was without additives. Paraffinic type of crude oil was a substrate for assessment of bioremediation potential. The simulated oil biodegradation lasted 30, 60 and 90 days. Parallel with that, the experiments with blind trial were conducted. Extracts were isolated from the samples with chloroform in a separate funnel. They were assayed for the group composition (alkanes, aromatics, alcohols and fatty acids) by column chromatography. Alkane fraction was analysed by gas chromatography—mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The most intense oil degradation was achieved in the experiments with bacteria, somewhat weaker with consortium of fungi and bacteria, and the weakest bioremediation potential in these experiments was shown by fungi.  相似文献

The present study demonstrates the potential hydrolytic activities in the symbiont-containing tissues of the vent invertebrates Riftia pachyptila, Bathymodiolus thermophilus (collected in 1991 at the East Pacific Rise) and the shallow-water bivalve Lucinoma aequizonata (collected in 1991 from the Santa Barbara Basin). Activities of phosphatases, esterases, -glucuronidase and leucineaminopeptidase were comparable to those of digestive tract tissues of other marine invertebrates. A lack in most glycosidases as well as in trypsin and chymotrypsin was observed. Activities of lysozyme and chitobiase were rather high. In all vent invertebrates with symbionts and in L. aequizonata, the symbiont-containing tissues and the symbiont-free tissues had similar levels of enzymatic activities, indicating that polymeric nutrients could be hydrolysed after release from the symbionts and cellular uptake. The high activities of -fucosidase in all vent invertebrates as well as in the shallow-water bivalve L. aequizonata could point to the existence of a yet undescribed substrate available to hydrolysation. The ectosymbionts-carrying polychaete Alvinella pompejana (collected in 1991 at the East Pacific Rise, EPR) shows high lysozyme activities in its gut, consistent with the proposed food source of bacteria. For the vent crab Bythogrea thermydron (also collected in 1991 at the EPR) hydrolytic activities were highest in the gut, dominated by esterase and peptidase activities which support their proposed carnivorous food source. A snail and a limpet collected from R. pachyptila tubes showed high levels of chitobiase suggesting a food source of grazed bacteria or ingested R. pachyptila tube.  相似文献

A procedure for the determination of chitinase activity was adapted for the seawater environment. Preliminary data indicate that the controlled bacterial environment within the digestive tracts of marine fishes and possibly other marine animals plays a significant role in the decomposition and recycling of chitin. It is estimated in the stomachs of a single population of Enophrys bison (buffalo sculpin) of 1×105 fish that ca. 16 metric tons of chitin could be decomposed annually.Published as Technical Paper No. 4434, Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station. The effect of the selective photosynthesis inhibitors Monuron (CMU), Diuron (DCMU) and methyl viologen on intact algal-marine invertebrate symbiotic associations was studied. CMU or DCMU (5x10-4M) completely inhibited photosynthesis, both in intact branches, and in suspensions of isolated zooxanthellae from the reef-building coral Pocillopora damicornis. The inhibitory effect was totally reversible in 1 to 3 h after removal of the inhibitor. Similar inhibition of photosynthesis occurred in 8 other marine coelenterates symbiotic with zooxanthellae, and in 1 marine gastropod symbiotic with functional chloroplasts. Neither CMU nor DCMU appeared to affect behavior of the various hosts, such as swimming, phototaxis, phototropism, photoreception, tentacle contraction, ciliary beating and locomotion. Methyl viologen, however, was ineffective in inhibiting photosynthesis in intact P. damicornis at low concentrations, and lethal to the tissues at high concentrations. These observations indicate that CMU and DCMU are potential useful tools for investigation of symbiotic associations. DCMU (5x10-4M) also reversibly inhibited light-enhanced calcification in P. damicornis. In a study that spanned from March 2007 through November 2009, we report high fungal biomass and over 90% of extracellular enzymatic activity occurring in the size classes dominated by fungi during periods of high autotrophic biomass in surface waters of the upwelling ecosystem off central-southern Chile (36°30.80′S–73°07.70′W). Fungal biomass in the water column was determined by the abundance of hyphae and was positively correlated with the concentration of the fungal biomarker 18:2ω6. High fungal biomass during active upwelling periods was comparable to that of prokaryotes (bacteria plus archaea) and was associated with an increase in phytoplankton biomass and in extracellular enzymatic hydrolysis in waters from the depth of maximum fluorescence. We show fungi as a new microbial component in the coastal upwelling ecosystem of the Humboldt Current System off central Chile. Our results suggest that the temporal pattern in fungal biomass in the water column during a year cycle is a reflection of their capacity to hydrolyze organic polymers and, in consequence, fungal biomass and activity respond to a seasonal cycle of upwelling in this ecosystem.  相似文献

Wax esters, which function as reserve fuels, account for 25 to 40% of the lipid of the pelagic copepod Calanus helgolandicus (Copepoda, Calanoida). In laboratory experiments with these crustaceans, diatoms (Lauderia borealis, Chaetoceros curvisetus, and Skeletonema costatum) and dinoflagellates (Gymnodinium splendens), which contained no wax esters, were used as food. Changes in the food concentration affected both the amount of lipid and the composition of the wax esters. Since the fatty acids of the triglycerides and wax esters of C. helgolandicus resembled the dietary fatty acid composition, it appeared that copepods incorporated their dietary fatty acids largely unchanged into their wax esters. The polyunsaturated alcohols of the wax esters did not correspond in carbon numbers or degrees of unsaturation to the dietary fatty acids. We postulate two different metabolic pools to explain the origin of these long chain alcohols. The phospholipid fatty acids were not affected by changes in the amount or type of food, probably because of their structural function.  相似文献

This study investigated the possible roles of superoxide produced by raphidophyte and prymnesiophyte microalgae as an ichthyotoxic agent to damselfish and an allelopathic agent to bacteria. We found that the rate of superoxide production varied with algal cell density, with cell densities of the raphidophyte Chattonella marina >10,000 cells ml–1 producing less environmental levels of superoxide per cell (94±14 chemiluminescence units) than cell densities <10,000 cells=">–1 (390±54 units per cell). Microalgal cells have the capacity to change their superoxide production rate over a period of 1 h, dependent on cell density and metabolic activity. We also examined the effect of superoxide on suppression of bioluminescence of the marine bacterium Vibrio fischeri as a model for bacterial alleopathy and found that both superoxide and free fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA; 20:53) present in raphidophyte microalgal cells cause suppression of bacterial bioluminescence. The combination of superoxide in the presence of EPA further enhanced bioluminescence suppression. Superoxide was also found to enhance the toxicity of free fatty acid EPA to damselfish (Acanthochromis polycanthus) at concentrations as low as 0.2 mg l–1. In conclusion, consideration should be given to density dependent and/or metabolic variations of toxicity when publishing minimum alert levels for superoxide producing ichthyotoxic microalgal species. A secondary role of superoxide production may be to enhance the toxicity of algal exudates or serve as an allelopathic agent against bacterial fouling.  相似文献

The concentration and turnover of dissolved free amino acids were measured in samples from 25 and 100 m on three occasions at a station 6 miles off the California (USA) coast. Individual amino acid concentrations varied from undetectable (<0.05 g/l) to 3 g/l, the total amino acid concentration from 1.8 to 8.5 g/l. The greater concentration of total amino acids was always found at 25 m. The predominant amino acids were serine, lysine, aspartate, glutamate and alanine; reliable analyses could not be made for glycine because of a high blank. For the 10 individual amino acids studied, the rate of heterotrophic turnover ranged from undetectable to 1.2 g/l day-1; serine, aspartate, alanine and glutamate showed the highest rates. In samples from 25 m, the rates were 15 to 20 times higher than those taken from 100 m. The total calculated flux of the amino acids studied varied from 0.015 to 3.2 g/l day-1 and amounted to 1–10% of photosynthetic carbon dioxide fixation.  相似文献

Pumping rates in undisturbed suspension-feeding bivalves were measured with a thermistor microflowmeter. Pumping rates are related to the dry weight of Clinocardium nuttallii, Macoma nasuta, Mytilus californianus and Chlamys hastata as the following equations: P=0.85 W0.84, P=0.23 W0.855, P=2.216 W0.715, and P=2.419 W0.943 respectively. Pumping rate and gill area increase at the same rate in C. nuttallii, M. californianus and C. hastata. The pumping rate per unit gill area is highest for C. nuttallii (approximately 0.14 cm3/s/cm2), with intermediate values for M. californianus (0.08 cm3/s/cm2) and C. hastata (0.11 cm3/s/cm2); the lowest rate was found in the deposit-feeder M. nasuta (0.0057 to 0.0089 cm3/s/cm2), which also has the smallest gill to body weight. C. nuttallii has the relatively smallest gill of the suspension feeders and the highest pumping rate per unit gill area. The absolute pumping rates, however, were highest for the filibranchs M. californianus and C. hastata. We describe a method, radio-acoustic-positioning (RAP), for continuously monitoring the movements and behavior of large marine animals. An ultrasonic transmitter on the animal can be localized with high spatial accuracy (2 to 10?m) within an area of 1?km2, based on when the same pulse arrives at three hydrophones on sonobuoys aligned in a triangular array. Radio transceivers communicate with the base station, where the x and y coordinates of the subject are calculated using hyperbolic equations. The base station plots the individual's position and displays information from the tag's sensors in real time on a computer monitor before saving the data on a disk. The base station must be situated either on land or on a vessel within the reception range of the three buoys. We used a RAP system to monitor the movements and behavior of white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) near the elephant seal rookery at Año Nuevo Island in central California. This type of system is an ideal tool to study the predatory behavior of the white shark because individuals patrol for seal prey within a zone <1300?m from shore. We describe the operation of the system, including acoustic triangulation, range of detection and positioning, data acquisition and analysis, and positional accuracy. We illustrate the implementation of the method and its advantages and disadvantages by describing an ongoing study of white shark hunting-behavior. Sample data from this study are presented to illustrate specific points. We describe the movements of five sharks within the receiving range and their behavior relative to each other. The RAP system is compared to other complementary tracking methods. We conclude that this system has great potential for monitoring the movements and behavior of large marine animals within a relatively small zone, where feeding or reproduction takes place.  相似文献

Bacteria and fungi associated with the marine wood-boring isopods Limnoria lignorum and Sphaeroma serratum, and with their wood burrows and seawater were investigated. Plate counts using nutrient agar and Czapex Dox agar media in natural and in artificial seawater were used. The diversity and number of bacteria associated with the two isopods were much higher than those associated with wood or seawater, whereas the opposite was true for fungi. The hydrolytic activity of the predominant genera on carboxymethylcellulose and on different types of wood was investigated. The magnitude of fungal cellulase activity exceeded that of bacteria. Activities of bacterial extracellulases exceeded those of intracellulases, while the opposite was observed for fungi. Cellulolytic activity of the predominant isolates biodegraded labkh, peach, white oak and mahogany in decreasing order of activity. Evidence provided by the cellulolytic activities, detected in woodcontaining cultures, suggests that the predominant micro-organisms isolated may play an important role in the woodboring process. Specimens used in the present study were collected from Port Fouad at Port Said Harbour, Egypt.  相似文献

An antibiotic-producing Chromobacter was isolated from a sea-water sample from the North Pacific Gyre. The bacterium produces 3 bromine-containing metabolites: tetrabromopyrrole, 2-(2-hydroxy-3, 5-dibromophenyl)-3, 4, 5-tribromopyrrole, and hexabromo-2, 2-bipyrrole. It also synthesizes n-propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde. Some of these compounds were shown to be responsible for autoinhibition of the Chromobacterium itself, as well as for antibiotic action against other kinds of bacteria.  相似文献

Pseudostenhelia wellsi Coull and Fleeger is a meiobenthic harpacticoid copepod inhabiting muddy, estuarine sediments. All individuals observed, and all ages including nauplii, build and inhabit elongate, mucous tubes which may extend to a depth of 3.9 mm into the sediment. Many of the narrow tubes, 0.27 mm in diameter, have a tube-cap extending 0.32 mm above the sediment-water interface. The tubes are a matrix of fine silt, sand and detritus cemented with a mucopolysaccharide, as shown by the Periodic Acid Schiff stain, apparently secreted from glands in the ventrolateral margin of the cephalothorax. Upon addition to sterile, homogeneous sediment, P. wellsi quickly (within 1 to 2 h) transform the upper 0.4 cm to a cohesive conglomerate of tubes, silt-clay particles and mucous filaments.  相似文献

Two marine mussels, Geukensia demissa (Dillwyn) and Mytilus edulis (L.) collected in 1990 in Old Silver Beach, Falmouth, Massachusetts, incorporated nitrogen when fed 15N-labelled organic aggregates produced from dissolved organic nitrogen released by the brown sea-weed Fucus vesiculosis. Uptake of 15N on the aggregate diet was linear over the course of 24 h, and unincorporated 15N was eliminated from the gut after 48 h. Both species of mussels incorporated approximately five times more N when they were fed organic aggregates than when they were fed either 15N-labelled dissolved organic material (DOM) or particulate detritus, both of which were also derived from the seaweed. Nitrogen uptake was greatest in controls fed the diatom Thalassiosira weissflogii; mussels fed phytoplankton incorporated seven times more nitrogen than those fed aggregates. However, aggregates could supply an estimated 7 to 14% of the N requirements for both mussels, whereas DOM or particulate detritus could only supply 1 to 3%. These data provide evidence that a food web pathway exists from primary producer to released dissolved organic nitrogen to microbial organic aggregate to metazoan consumer, and, further, that it can be more important in a detrital food web than either particulate detritus or DOM.  相似文献

Summary Nymphs and adult females ofBlatta orientalis and nymphs ofEurycotis floridana produce a proteinaceous sticky secretion which accumulates on the last abdominal tergites. The proteic patterns do not differ between individuals of the same species. HPLC analyses show that all the common amino acids are found in both species, aspartic and glutamic acids representing 24 to 37% of the total amount of amino acids. InB. orientalis, glutamic acid is the more abundant amino acid whereas inE. floridana it is the aspartic acid. The secretion appears and accumulates rapidly on isolated insects. Behavioural assays revealed that these secretions have a defensive role.  相似文献
