铬渣水泥固化时要加入硫酸亚铁和添加剂矿渣、粉煤灰,硫酸亚铁可以部分地把六价铬还原为三价铬,能把得到的固化体六价铬浸出毒性降到低于国家标准,抗压强度可达30MPa以上,可综合利用。与此同时,本文考虑日晒、振荡时间和固化体粒度对浸出毒性的影响以及固化体表现浸出率、模拟酸雨淋溶对固化体性能的影响。 相似文献

长沙市兴镇13家硫酸锰厂的生产废渣使当地的生态环境造受到了严重破坏。本文在废渣浸出毒性实验、渣柱淋滤实验以及废渣的全分析基础上,全面地研究了废渣的组成、浸出毒性大小以及在当地酸沉降条件下的淋滤特征,为其安全处置提供了理论基础。研究证明,废渣中重金属种类多、含量高,尤其是锰,高达138800mg/kg。渣的浸出毒性虽未达到国家规定的危险废物鉴别标准,但远超过了《污水综合排放标准》,其衰减可用负指数方程来描述。在酸雨淋溶下,渣中的锰离子会在短时期内大量释放后,维持在一相对较低水平长期释放,对环境威胁巨大。 相似文献

以山西某钢铁厂各工艺单元产生的固体废物为研究对象,采用实验对比研究的方法,测定汞的分布特征及其浸出毒性。结果表明:(1)汞的最优推荐分析方法为DMA-80或Lumex RA-915+汞分析仪直接测定汞含量较低的烧结钢渣、高炉渣及转炉渣,微波辅助酸消解电感耦合等离子体质谱仪间接测定汞含量较高的除尘灰和粉煤灰,可以提高数据的精确度和可信度。(2)除尘灰及粉煤灰中汞浸出质量浓度分别为0.25、0.12 mg/L,超过《危险废物鉴别标准浸出毒性鉴别》(GB 5085.3—2007)限值(0.1mg/L),因此除尘灰和粉煤灰属于危险固体废物,应采取无害化处理措施后综合利用;烧结钢渣、高炉渣及转炉渣属于一般工业固体废物,可安全无害堆放或使用。 相似文献

针对国内现行发光细菌急性毒性标准测试方法中存在的结果重现性不佳、准确度不高等不足,在充分借鉴国际标准化组织ISO11348-3:2007的基础上,通过对实验条件和操作步骤的优化改良,并在数据处理过程中新增了发光自然变化因子(fk)和原始发光光强(S0)2个参数,进一步减少了菌种发光稳定性差异和手工加样所带来的误差。此外,选用费氏弧菌NRRLB—11177、青海弧菌Q67、明亮发光杆菌502这3种不同来源的发光细菌对该优化方法进行了适用性实验。结果表明,在一定的发光强度自然变化范围内,明亮发光杆菌502的实验结果(线性相关系数等)均明显优于其传统推荐方法。同时,根据上述实验结果,还对《水质急性毒性的测定发光细菌法》(GB/T15441—1995)的修订工作提出了一系列参考意见。 相似文献

以海洋发光细菌费氏弧菌(Vibriofischeri)作为检测生物,采用冻干菌粉快速复苏技术,研究费氏弧菌在水质检测中的最佳测试温度和有效性测试条件,并对硫酸锌等多种毒物和几种实际水样进行发光抑制作用分析。研究表明,费氏弧菌冻干粉复苏菌液保存在2~5℃条件下能有效测试7d,最佳测试温度为15℃,最佳测试时间为15min。氯化汞、硫酸锌、硫酸镉等重金属和苯胺、多菌灵、甲醛等有机毒物对费氏弧菌均具有较强的光抑制作用,也即费氏弧菌对以上毒物较为敏感,并能够连续7d保持对同一浓度硫酸锌的敏感性较为一致。对几种实际水样的测试和分析表明,以费氏弧菌为指示生物的发光细菌法能够应用于水质环境安全的综合毒性在线监测预警中。 相似文献

We demonstrate in this study that the toxicity of solid and highly colorful samples can be measured with kinetic bioassay using luminescent bacterium Vibrio fischeri. The Flash assay, named after the test protocol, is performed with a tube luminometer. In this method, each sample acts as a reference for itself, and therefore, the color correction is possible with minimal hands-on-time. The bacteria are dispensed into the sample and the signal is recorded continuously. The maximum signal received after immediately dispensing is compared to the signal after an incubation period. With many chemicals, the toxic effects are obtained after a very short contact time. However, different chemicals have different modes of toxicity. Thus, kinetic data from sample analyses after 15 or 30 min for this bacterium gives an additional dimension for obtaining reliable results. The performance of the test was compared to the standardized photobacteria test protocol with reference chemicals. The repeatability of the test was excellent. The coefficient of variation was normally below 1% with 10 replicates. 相似文献

Chromium (Cr) is one of the most serious pollutants in aquatic systems. This study examined the relationship between the toxic effects of Cr on the freshwater alga Chlorella vulgaris and phosphorus (P) availability on the algal physiology and ultrastructure. Cr inhibited C. vulgaris growth in a concentration- and time-dependent manner, and its inhibitory effect was related to the P concentration. In a low-P medium, Cr showed approximately 2.2–3.7-fold stronger toxicity than in a high-P medium. Cr was absorbed into the algal body where it disrupted the chloroplast structure and decreased the chlorophyll content. However, Cr had a weaker chlorophyll inhibitory ability and destructive power against the chloroplasts in the high-P medium than in the low-P medium due to the partial blockage of Cr absorption in high P-medium. Cr exposure also changed the metal ion and anion absorption profiles, which was also closely related to the concentration of P. Cr treatment increased the volume of the vacuole, and the larger vacuole reduced the space available for chloroplasts, as based on optical and electron microscopy results, but a higher P availability could alleviate this damage. These results suggest that high P alleviated the toxicity of Cr by decreasing Cr absorption and increasing the absorption of beneficial ions. It is, therefore, necessary to consider the phosphorus availability when the toxicity of metal compounds is evaluated. 相似文献

Bioassays using Daphnia pulex and Moina micrura were designed to detect cyanobacterial neurotoxins in raw water samples. Phytoplankton and cyanotoxins from seston were analyzed during 15 months in a eutrophic reservoir. Effective time to immobilize 50% of the exposed individuals (ET50) was adopted as the endpoint. Paralysis of swimming movements was observed between ∼0.5-3 h of exposure to lake water containing toxic cyanobacteria, followed by an almost complete recovery of the swimming activity within 24 h after being placed in control water. The same effects were observed in bioassays with a saxitoxin-producer strain of Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii isolated from the reservoir. Regression analysis showed significant relationships between ET50vs. cell density, biomass and saxitoxins content, suggesting that the paralysis of Daphnia in lake water samples was caused by saxitoxins found in C. raciborskii. Daphnia bioassay was found to be a sensitive method for detecting fast-acting neurotoxins in natural samples, with important advantages over mouse bioassays. 相似文献

The influence of time on lead toxicity and bioaccumulation determined by the OECD earthworm toxicity test 总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
Internationally agreed standard protocols for assessing chemical toxicity of contaminants in soil to worms assume that the test soil does not need to equilibrate with the chemical to be tested prior to the addition of the test organisms and that the chemical will exert any toxic effect upon the test organism within 28 days. Three experiments were carried out to investigate these assumptions. The first experiment was a standard toxicity test where lead nitrate was added to a soil in solution to give a range of concentrations. The mortality of the worms and the concentration of lead in the survivors were determined. The LC50s for 14 and 28 days were 5311 and 5395 microgPb g(-1)soil respectively. The second experiment was a timed lead accumulation study with worms cultivated in soil containing either 3000 or 5000 microgPb g(-1)soil. The concentration of lead in the worms was determined at various sampling times. Uptake at both concentrations was linear with time. Worms in the 5000 microg g(-1) soil accumulated lead at a faster rate (3.16 microg Pb g(-1)tissue day(-1)) than those in the 3000 microg g(-1) soil (2.21 microg Pb g(-1)tissue day(-1)). The third experiment was a timed experiment with worms cultivated in soil containing 7000 microgPb g(-1)soil. Soil and lead nitrate solution were mixed and stored at 20 degrees C. Worms were added at various times over a 35-day period. The time to death increased from 23 h, when worms were added directly after the lead was added to the soil, to 67 h when worms were added after the soil had equilibrated with the lead for 35 days. In artificially Pb-amended soils the worms accumulate Pb over the duration of their exposure to the Pb. Thus time limited toxicity tests may be terminated before worm body load has reached a toxic level. This could result in under-estimates of the toxicity of Pb to worms. As the equilibration time of artificially amended Pb-bearing soils increases the bioavailability of Pb decreases. Thus addition of worms shortly after addition of Pb to soils may result in the over-estimate of Pb toxicity to worms. The current OECD acute worm toxicity test fails to take these two phenomena into account thereby reducing the environmental relevance of the contaminant toxicities it is used to calculate. 相似文献

Consumption inhibition in natural populations, namely due to contaminants, may have direct and immediate effects on ecosystems, by hampering ecosystem key functions (e.g., organic matter decomposition, grazing), long before effects at the individual level (e.g., reproduction, growth, emergence) have time-delayed consequences at successively higher levels of biological organization. The present study aimed at developing a cost-effective (short and easy) toxicity test based on the postexposure feeding of a freshwater amphipod present in the Iberian Peninsula and at evaluating the immediate impact of contamination on the population-level consumption rate. First, methodologies to quantify postexposure feeding were developed and optimized, the most important criterion being a feeding period as short as possible to minimize physiological recovery from the contaminant exposure. Second, the sensitivities of 48-h postexposure feeding and 48-h lethality tests were compared, using a reference chemical - copper. Third, the latter responses were integrated in a single parameter, the median population consumption inhibitory concentration. When Echinogammarus meridionalis males were fed on 100 defrosted Artemia franciscananauplii during 30 min in darkness at 19-21 °C, the eaten proportion was approximately 80%, without truncated data distributions. The 48-h median effective copper concentration for postexposure feeding was approximately two times lower than the 48-h LC50 - 91 versus 198 μg L−1, respectively. Two techniques were used to quantify the median population consumption inhibitory copper concentration, both leading to similar values (75 and 68 μg L−1). In conclusion, when contaminant concentrations elicit both lethality and feeding depression, the integration of both responses can provide an ecologically relevant evaluation on the potency of a contaminant to immediately disrupt ecosystem functioning. 相似文献

Measurement of carcinogenic Cr(VI) in ambient PM is challenging due to potential errors associated with conversion between Cr(VI) (a carcinogen) and Cr(III) (an essential nutrient). Cr(III) conversion is a particular concern due to its >80% atomic abundance in total Cr. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) method 6800 that uses water-soluble isotope spikes can be used to correct the interconversion. However, whether the enriched Cr(III) isotope spikes can adequately mimic the Cr(III) species originally in ambient PM is unknown. This study examined the water solubility of Cr(III) in ambient PM and discussed its influence on Cr(VI) measurement. Ambient PM10 samples were collected on Teflon filters at four sites in New Jersey that may have different Cr emission sources. The samples were ultrasonically extracted with 5 mL DI-H2O (pH 5.7) at room temperature for 40 min, and then analyzed by ion chromatography–inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (IC-ICPMS). Cr(III) was below detection limit (0.06 ng/m3) for all samples, suggesting water-soluble Cr(III) species, such as CrCl3, Cr(NO3)3, and amorphous Cr(OH)3, in the ambient PM were negligible. Therefore, the enriched 50Cr(III) isotope spike (in the form of Cr(NO3)3) could not mimic the original ambient Cr(III). Only the conversion of 53Cr(VI) (in the form of K2CrO4) was taken into account when correcting the interconversion. We then used NaHCO3-pretreated MCE filters (prespiked with enriched isotope species) to measure Cr(VI) in the ambient PM10. The samples were ultrasonically extracted at 60 C pH 9 solutions for 40 min followed by IC-ICPMS analysis. Due to the correction of Cr(VI) reduction, the Cr(VI) concentrations determined by EPA method 6800, 0.26 ± 0.16 (summer) and 0.16 ± 0.11(winter) ng/m3 (n = 64), were significantly greater than those by the external standard curve, 0.21 ± 0.17 (summer) and 0.10 ± 0.07 (winter) ng/m3 (n = 56) (p < 0.01, Student’s t-test). Our study revealed that appropriate application of EPA method 6800 is important because it only applies to soluble fraction of Cr species in ambient PM.
ImplicationsAccurate measurement of carcinogenic Cr(VI) in ambient PM is challenging due to conversion between Cr(VI) (a human carcinogen) and Cr(III) (a human essential nutrient). The conversion of Cr(III) is of particular concern due to its dominant presence in total Cr (>80%). Then we discussed the influence of Cr(III) solubility on the application of EPA method 6800, which utilizes enriched isotope spikes to correct the interconversion. An OECD initiative for the development of mollusc-based toxicity tests for endocrine disrupters and other chemicals has recommended three test species with respective test designs for further standardisation. Preparing a subsequent pre-validation study we performed a reproduction test with Potamopyrgus antipodarum, determining the concentration range of the selected test substances, bisphenol A (BPA) and cadmium (Cd). At 16 °C, the recommended test temperature, the number of embryos in the brood pouch was increased by BPA and decreased by Cd (NOEC: 20 μg BPA/L and 1 μg Cd/L). Coinstantaneous BPA tests at 7 °C and 25 °C demonstrated a temperature dependency of the response, resulting in lower NOECs (5 μg/L respectively). As expected, reproduction in control groups significantly varied depending on temperature. Additional observations of the brood stock showed seasonal fluctuations in reproduction under constant laboratory conditions. The recommended temperature range and test conditions have to be further investigated. 相似文献
