This study explores the bicultural life experience of black career-oriented women. Seventy-one women participated in a larger study on the life experiences of black women. Of this sample, 21 (29 per cent) of the women were identified as being career-oriented. Findings reveal that the women perceive themselves as living in two distinct cultural contexts, one black the other one white. The women compartmentalize the various components of their lives in order to manage the bicultural dimensions. In addition, they tend to have highly complex life structures to embrace both cultural contexts.  相似文献

利用湖南52站汛期降水资料,根据聚类分析方法,进行降水分区,结果共分为Ⅰ区,Ⅲ区(湘北)Ⅲ区(湘东),Ⅳ区(湘中)和Ⅴ区(湘南)等5个区域,能反映地理位置和地形对降水的影响。然后,通过统计分析,讨论了各区域汛期降水的年际变化趋势,结果表明,Ⅱ区(湘北)汛期降水的年际变化最大;同时,根据各区域汛期降水的距平资料,探讨了它们的变化规律,结果显示,基本上都呈现出上升-下降-上升的特征,只有Ⅴ区(湘南)稍  相似文献

Abstract: The proposed Hickory and Spring Creeks Flood Control and Recreation Project of the Illinois State Division of Water Resources and the Will County Forest Preserve District is desinged to provide flood control for Joliet, Illinos, and areas of the watershed to the east of the city and to provide open-space recreational land upstream from the Hickory Breek Dry Reservoir embankement. A viable forest ecosytem in the reservoir flood pool following construction is of major importance to the project. Factors of the environment influencing tree distribution and flood tolerance and a process for determining the best operational design to provide both flood control and the maintenance of a natural streamside forest ecosystem are described.  相似文献

采用"溶剂热-光还原"法成功制备出Bi_2MoO_6-Pt异质结光催化剂.该催化剂由Bi_2MoO_6三维微球(直径:1~4μm)和Pt纳米颗粒(~2.5nm)组成.本文以罗丹明B(Rh B)和4-氯酚(4-CP)为目标污染物研究了该异质结的可见光光催化性能.Bi_2MoO_6-Pt异质结的光催化活性明显高于纯Bi_2MoO_6,Pt的最佳负载量为0.3 wt%.同时,Bi_2MoO_6-Pt-2异质结(Pt的负载量为0.3 wt%)也可以有效地矿化有机污染物.更重要的是,Bi_2MoO_6-Pt-2异质结具有良好的稳定性,可以被重复使用.  相似文献

为明晰矿震在巷道围岩中的应力波扩散规律,采用SPECFEM2D程序包谱元法数值模拟方法,研究二维模型在有无矩形巷道情况下应力波扩散过程以及质点最大振动速度PPV值分布规律。结果表明:巷道受S波影响大于受P波影响的程度。巷道表面应力波叠加现象明显,且背波侧巷道左帮上半部分PPV值最大,但深入围岩内部后有巷道时小于无巷道时的PPV值。巷道迎波侧PPV值较背波侧大,且分布范围大,背波侧出现了应力波屏蔽区。巷道顶底板主要受水平方向应力波影响,两帮主要受垂直方向应力波影响。研究结果对理解应力波在矩形巷道周围的扩散规律有一定的参考作用,并对矿震应力波作用下的巷道支护有一定借鉴意义。  相似文献

Little is known about the fish fauna of deep Posidonia australis seagrass beds in Australia. We investigated associated with the deep and shallow margins of P. australis during two surveys in Jervis Bay, New South Wales. Fish associated with deep and shallow seagrass at each of two areas within a large bed of P. australis were compared over a period of 3 mo (November 1986 to January 1987). This was followed by a larger scale survey in which we compared fish found at the two depths within three large beds of P. australis in Jervis Bay over 2 yr (September 1988 to June 1990). In the smaller scale survey there were marked dissimilarities in relative abhundance and composition of species between samples from deep and shallow P. australis. There were also significant differences in abundance between deep and shallow seagrass on most occasions for the majority of the dominant fish species. As a result of the small-scale survey, we concluded that differences in species composition of fish associated with deep and shallow P. australis may have been due to the presence of species from nearby bare substrate among the sparser leaves of the deep seagrass. The results of the smaller scale survey were not confirmed by the larger survey. The relative abundances of species in samples from deep and shallow P. australis were not dissimilar for all beds. In addition, it was rare for any of the dominant species to have significantly different abundances in deep and shallow seagrass. There was little evidence that the species composition of fish associated with deep P. australis was strongly influenced by the fauna of deep bare substrate. Rather, samples from deep P. australis were far more similar to those from shallow P. australis than to a comparable set of samples collected from deep bare substrata. This study demonstrates how the results and conclusions of small-scale survey work, a feature of many environmental impact asseesments, can be misleading when applied to larger spatial and temporal scales, even within the same bay.  相似文献

利用物质流分析工具对天津市经济—环境系统中的物质流进行了分析,分析结果表明:2004年天津市的物质需求总量达到8.68亿t,且增长趋势明显,其中基础设施建设对环境造成了较大扰动,进口物质大于出口物质;城市环境容量总体处于饱和状态,水体污染严重;物质消耗强度不断增长,资源的利用效率处于较低水平。最后,针对存在的问题,提出相应的措施和建议。  相似文献

Summary Hipposideros ruber use CF/FM echolocation calls to detect the wing flutter of their insect prey. Fluttering prey were detected whether the insects were flying or sitting on a surface, and prey in either situation were captured with equal success (approximately 40% of capture attempts). Stationary prey were ignored. The bats did not use visual cues or the sounds of wing flutter to locate their prey. Wing flutter detection suggests that H. ruber exploit the Doppler-shifted information in echoes of their echolocation calls. These bats fed primarily upon moths, usually those of between 10 and 25 mm wingchord, although moths of less than 5 mm and greater than 40 mm wingchord were also attacked and captured. They showed no evidence of selecting moths on the basis of species or other taxonomic distinction, and occasionaly captured other insects.  相似文献

Models that predict volatilization of organic compounds from wastewater treatment basins may underestimate emission rates if the surfaces are considered as quiescent. In reality, the water surface may be agitated by subsurface aeration, increasing mass transfer across the tank surface air-water interface. This study investigated the effect of turbulence, induced by diffused bubble aeration, on mass transfer at the water surface of a pilot aeration basin. The mass transfer of ammonia from an enclosed headspace over the basin to acidified water was measured when different diffuser types and airflow rates were applied. Oxygen-transfer tests were conducted immediately following each ammonia-transfer test. Increasing airflow rates through fine- and coarse-bubble diffusers had a significant effect on the ammonia mass-transfer rate. Experimental mass-transfer parameters (K(L)a's) for surface volatilization derived with aeration present were up to 48% higher than the K(L)a values for quiescent conditions over the range of conditions tested. No effect of diffuser type on ammonia transfer could be determined. The study results infer an effect on oxygen transfer into the water at the surface and potential transfer of volatile organic compounds, if present, from the water. The results of the ammonia mass-transfer experiments suggest that adjustments to the existing mass transfer correlations for surface volatilization from aeration basins may be in order. Such adjustments will have the greatest effect on predictions for the less volatile compounds, under conditions of low airflow rates.  相似文献

黄土丘陵区降雨、径流、土壤水分的时空分布与利用对策   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
基于黄土丘陵区的延安燕沟多年监测资料,通过对燕沟流域的降雨、径流、及其不同土地利用方式下土壤水分等时空分布特征分析,明确了黄土丘陵区降雨的时间、空间分布具有显著差异性。降雨量在6~9月相对集中,年际、月际变异大;同时次降雨量、月降雨量均存在显著空间异质性,如降雨量沿燕沟沟道变化及坡向分异。径流特征是降雨及其下垫面特征的综合反映,3月左右由于气温上升,河道解冻,径流量出现小高峰,雨季后2个月出现最大高峰水量。对径流的利用则由于供水/需水时间错位,利用主要集中在枯水季节(4-6月),土壤水资源由于地形、降雨、植被覆盖等的差异性,特别是植被差异性利用,则存在时空异质性。土壤水分在雨季后1-2月在0~150cm形成高值期,150cm以下的土壤恢复缓慢。植被差异利用形成了土壤水分剖面不同:梯田〉草地〉拧条林〉拧条+五角枫林〉沙棘林〉刺槐林。根据对水资源系统分析,提出了流域水资源开发利用的对策:农作物适雨种植制度;植被空间合理布局;降雨、土壤水、径流三水联合御旱,提高水资源利用效率。  相似文献
