The objective of this study was to identify Z. indianus in PEJC and PESCAN. Listed are the following methods: to isolate bacteria from the integument of the Z. indianus species collected and to check the resistance of microorganisms to antibiotics. Collections of Z. indianus were performed in four seasons of the two parks. The results obtained suggest that the low amount of Z. indianus collected can be justified by environmental factors such as high average temperature and low average humidity. It is noted that there is a predominance of bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family found in both the PEJC and the PESCAN. The antibiogram performed for the isolated PEJC bacteria shows statistical significance when comparing the edge and inside values of the park. Studies with fungi were also carried out, and it was evidenced that Trichophyton spp. was the genus that most inhabited the two environments studied. The ability of fluconazole and ketoconazole to inhibit fungal growth was also investigated, and considering the concentration tested may suggest that they have good action spectra. Plasmid profile data show that 60% of antibiotic-resistant bacteria have plasmids. The values found show that Z. indianus can act as vectors of microorganisms that affect the healthy animals and humans and that these organisms may be influenced by seasons.  相似文献

Pulse amplitude modulated (PAM) fluorescence has been used as a proxy of microphytobenthic biomass after a dark adaptation period of 15 min to stabilise the minimum fluorescence yield (F o 15). This methodology was investigated for in situ migratory and ex situ engineered non-migratory biofilms, comparing dark adaptation to low (5% ambient) and far-red light treatments over different emersion periods. Far-red and low light reduced potential errors resulting from light history effects, by reversal of non-photochemical quenching after 5 min of treatment, compared to over 10 min required by conventional dark adaptation. An in situ decline of minimum fluorescence yield over 15 min was observed during the dark adaptation for migratory biofilms, but was not observed in the non-migratory biofilms indicating that the major cause of decline was downward vertical migration of cells into the sediment. This pattern occurred in far-red light after 10 min, but not for the low light treatment, indicating that low light maintained the biomass at the surface of the sediment. It is therefore concluded that low light treatment is a better option than conventional dark adaptation for the measurement of minimum fluorescence as a proxy of microphytobenthic biomass.  相似文献

Soil erosion and the invasion of exotic plant species are major constraints to achieve sustainable development around the world. Currently, we find few products devoted concomitantly to combatting soil erosion as well as the establishment of unwanted exotic plants. In this paper, we introduce a new product, called herein a bioblanket, that protects the soil and impedes the establishment of exotic plant species. This product is of simple design, and to manufacture it, we use two biodegradable materials: jute tissue and grass wastes. We designed this product to combat soil erosion and the germination and establishment of new, unwanted, invasive plant species. In this paper, we describe our evaluation of how successful this product was in terms of improving the chemical attributes of soil. We also identified the product's potentialities and weaknesses by means of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis. The bioblanket ameliorated the chemical attributes of the soil, as evidenced especially by the neutralization of acidity (8.5%) and aluminum toxicity (33%), and by an increment in nutrients concentration. We argue that after adequate treatment and management, the residues of plants that are normally considered unwanted materials can be transformed into a raw material to control the propagation of unwanted plant species, and concomitantly control soil erosion while improving the chemical conditions of the soil. The improvement of the soil chemical attributes was one of the main positive effects reported through the SWOT analysis. In addition, the SWOT analysis revealed some features that need improvement in future generations of the product, but we argue that these features do not impede the benefits for the use of the product in its present form.  相似文献

The wide and complex range of technologies produced and used in the contemporary societies has challenged the analysis from the different fields of social sciences. In this sense, in order to elaborate a study that aim at understanding the relationship between technological progress and the ongoing institutional changes that mark the capitalist societies, we believe it is necessary to adopt an interdisciplinary approach combining methodologies from Economics and Sociology fields. Therefore, this study proposes the development of an interdisciplinary dialogue between the economic sociology of Pierre Bourdieu and the evolutionary economics developed by authors such as Giovanni Dosi, Sidney Winter, Richard Nelson and Bhaven Sampat. In doing so, we intend to demonstrate that a theory guided by Marx’s historical materialism, as it is the case of evolutionary economics, can be enriched by a materialist theory of symbolic, such as that of Pierre Bourdieu. In searching the comprehension of the complementarity between material and symbolic forces, this study addresses the conflictual process surrounding the formulation of the regulatory institutions to the biotechnology sector in Brazil over the last two decades. More precisely, through a case study, we seek to demonstrate that the convergence of discourses and interests between prestigious scientific organizations and the multinational companies that control the agrobiotechnology industry has been relevant to allow this new technological paradigm to make progress. Finally, we raise some questions concerning this alliance between business and science and the conflicts that revolve around the rapid expansion of the genetically modified crops worldwide.  相似文献

Waste frying oils transesterification was studied with the purpose of achieving the best conditions for biodiesel production. Transesterification reactions were carried out for 1 h using waste frying oils (WFOs), methanol, and sodium hydroxide as catalyst. In order to determine the best conditions for biodiesel production, a series of experiments were carried out, using methanol/WFO molar ratios between 3.6 and 5.4 and catalyst/WFO weight ratios between 0.2% and 1.0%. For oils with an acid value of 0.42 mg KOH/g, results show that a methanol/WFO ratio of 4.8 and a catalyst/WFO ratio of 0.6% gives the highest yield of methyl esters. Furthermore, an increase in the amount of methanol or catalyst quantity seems to simplify the separation/purification of the methyl esters phase, as showed by a viscosity reduction and an increasing purity to values higher than 98% for methyl esters phase.  相似文献

Chemical recycling of poly(ethylene terephthalate) PET waste in the melt state through alcoholysis with multifunctional alcohol—pentaerythrytol (PENTE)—was performed in a internal mixer Haake Rheomix 600, at 250 °C, 60 rpm, for 10 min, in presence of zinc acetate. The following PET:PENTE molar ratios 1:0; 1:0.16; 1:0.48 and 1:3.4 were studied. The chemical structure of the end-products was characterized by FT-IR. Thermal properties and X-ray diffractograms were also assessed. The esterification and alcoholysis reactions took place and were dependent on the molar ratio. The first one is dominant in compositions rich in PET leading to the formation of star-branching copolymer. The second one brings about the PET oligomerization and an oligoester named herein bis(tri-hydroxylneopentyl) terephthalate (BTHNPT) was obtained. The end-products have potential application as asphalt additive or adhesive.  相似文献

An efficient sequential, biological and photocatalytic treatment to reduce the pollutant levels in wastewater due to the bleaching process during paper production is reported. For a biological pre-treatment, 800 ml of non-sterilized effluent was inoculated with Trametes versicolor immobilized in polyurethane foam, with 25 g l(-1) glucose, 6.75 mM CuSO(4), and 0.22 mM MnSO(4) added, and cultured at 25 degrees C with an air flow of 800 ml min(-1) for 8d. The fungus did not inhibit growth of the heterotropic populations of the effluent. After 4d of culture, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) reduction and colour removal (CR) were 82% and 80%, respectively, with laccase (LAC) and manganese peroxidase (MnP) activities of 345 U l(-1) and 78 U l(-1), respectively. The COD reduction and CR correlated positively (p<0.0001) with LAC and MnP activities. Chlorophenol removal was 99% of pentachlorophenol, 99% of 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol (2,3,4,6-TCP), 98% of 3,4-dichlorophenol (3,4-DCP) and 77% of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP), while 2,4,5-trichlorophenol (2,4,5-TCP) increased to 0.2 mg l(-1). The pre-treated effluent was then exposed to a photocatalytic treatment. The treatment with photolysis resulted in 9% CR and 46% COD reduction, 42% CR and 60% COD reduction by photocatalysis, and 62% CR and 85% COD reduction by heterogeneous photocatalysis with the system TiO(2)/Ru(x)Se(y) (Fig. 4). With this treatment the bacterial and fungal populations also decreased by 5 logarithmic units with respect to the biological treatment alone (Fig. 5). The total sequential treatment resulted in a 92% CR (from 5800 UC), 97% COD reduction (from 59 g l(-1)) and 99% chlorophenol removal at 96 h and 20 min.  相似文献

The objective of this work is to quantify As, Hg, Cd, Ni and Pb in Portuguese red wines. First, the methods for the quantification of trace elements in red wines were validated. Several pre-treatments were compared, namely a pre-digestion process with HNO3, a pre-oxidation step with H2O2, and a spiking step of wine samples with a known concentration of the trace elements analyzed. Except for As, it was determined that the quantification of the trace elements does not require a pre-digestion process with HNO3. For all of the trace elements analyzed, a pre-oxidation step with H2O2 may enable an accurate quantification. The techniques chosen for the quantification of trace elements were hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HGAAS) for As and Hg, electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) for Cd, and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) for Ni and Pb. In the second stage of this work, 25 Portuguese red wines spanning all of the red wine-producing regions were analyzed for all of the five trace elements referred to above. Only Cd and Pb have shown concentrations above the limit values defined by the “Organization Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin.” The Target Hazard Quotient (THQ) equation was used to determine in which wine-producing regions that wine consumption can be a problem for public health in terms of the concentrations of the five trace elements analyzed. THQ values have indicated that for the universe of the 25 red wines analyzed no region produces wines that can pose problems for public health, when the Portuguese red wine standard consumption is considered.  相似文献
