This study is to develop a carbon-based adsorbent containing multiple functional ligands for effective removal of lead ions
from aqueous media. Activated carbon was oxidized by nitric acid, followed by chlorination with thionyl chloride and reaction
with ethylenediamine. Modified activated carbon (MAC) was characterized using scanning electron microscopy in conjunction
of energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and potentiometric titration.
Surface characterizations confirmed that carboxyl, amine, and chlorine functional groups were effectively introduced onto
the carbon surface by the treatments. The modifications lowered the pH at the point of zero charge (pHpzc) from 9.6 to 2.55 and resulted in more negatively charged surfaces. Adsorptive experiments showed that aqueous Pb removal
by MAC was faster, with a 62% higher capacity than the original activated carbon (60.2 vs. 37.2 mg g−1). 相似文献

Organic contaminated soils have become a widespread environmental problem, which may lead to a great threat to the quality of agricultural production and to human health. Physical, chemical, and biological technologies have been employed for the mitigation and remediation of organic contaminated soils. This paper reviews the progress of mitigation and remediation technologies for organic contaminated soils and suggests two different strategies for the mitigation of ’slightly-contaminated’ agricultural soils and the remediation of ‘heavily-contaminated’ soils/sites, respectively. 20年的NPK施肥定位试验,有利于深刻揭示土壤肥力特征与营养平衡规律。以位于黄淮海平原的中国科学院禹城综合试验站为例,探讨和估算了长期定量施肥对冬小麦(TriticuspaestvumL.)、夏玉米(ZeaMaysL.)生长和土壤有机质(SOM)的影响。结果表明,长期的N、P肥配施或N、P、K均衡施肥,可显著增加SOM储量,并且后者要优于前者;SOM增加主要集中在0-20cm深度的土层,40-60cm基本不变;生物量对SOM储量变化影响明显,NPK,NP处理作物生长良好,作物残体输人明显优于其他处理;0-40cm可以代表该区用以计算土壤固碳潜力,并且在N、P、K均衡施肥条件下,0-40cm土层中SOM储量长期以来持续增加,并未达到上限,每年的平均固碳速率(以C计)达182.8kg·hm-1,约是全球平均水平的1.5倍,全国平均水平的1.1倍。华北平原若按N、P、K均衡施肥,农田土壤每年固碳潜力将达到1.6-2.4Tg·a-1。 相似文献

Aesthetascs are the olfactory receptor organs responsible for mate recognition in many decapod crustacean species. The number
of aesthetascs varies greatly among species in different environments, but the functional significance of this variation is
poorly understood. This study examined the relationship between social environment and the number of aesthetascs in six species
of caridean shrimp in the genus Lysmata. Generally, the number of aesthetascs was greater in group-living species (L. boggessi and L. wurdemanni) than in low-density (L. ankeri and L. pederseni) and pair-living species (L. amboinensis and L. debelius). Aesthetascs are innervated by olfactory receptor neurons (ORNs). The total number of ORNs is related to the sensitivity
of olfactory odor detection, and it was higher in group-living species than in pair-living species. Sexual dimorphism in the

Frequent monitoring and relatively high fines are usually necessary to bring about improvements in environmental quality, but more challenging for many countries with limited human, material, and financial resources is to put them into practice. This paper developed a three-group model of a state-dependent enforcement in a repeated game to improve the policy implementation under limited inspection capacities. A certain number of firms are grouped (group 1, group 2, group 3) for different supervision intensity (e.g., the order of inspection probability corresponding to each group is p 1?<?p 2?<?p 3) based on their environmental performance. The optimal policy parameters, such as inspection probability of each group and the probability that a firm found in compliance is moved to a better reputation group, were obtained as the basis for regulator’s policy making. Numerical simulations indicated that the three-group inspection regime can significantly increase compliance rate as compared with static enforcement with the same monitoring probability. Among the number of firms in each group under steady state conditions, group 2 had the most, group 1 was the second, and group 3 had the smallest. Analysis and prediction of a three-group reputation example provided a good experiment for the model. 为探讨利用蚯蚓吸收富集在猪粪中的Cu、Zn以减少其在猪粪中含量的技术途径,实验以赤子爱胜蚓(Eisenia foetida)为生物反应器,采用L18(36)正交设计法,对蚯蚓吸收富集猪粪中Cu、Zn的最适条件进行了研究.结果表明,蚯蚓对猪粪中的Cu、Zn具有一定的吸收能力, 辅料类别、C/N、温度、湿度和蚯蚓密度均能影响蚯蚓对猪粪中Cu、Zn的吸收,综合考虑蚯蚓的生长及对猪粪Cu、Zn的吸收,以猪粪和玉米秸秆为饵料,C/N为22~30、温度为15 ℃、湿度为75%、接种密度为15尾/盆(100 g风干饵料中蚯蚓的生物量为2.29 g)的组合条件下,蚯蚓对猪粪Cu、Zn的吸收总量最高. 相似文献
