A field experiment was conducted at Anand Agricultural University, Anand during Sept-Dec, 2009 to study the rate of degradation of flubendiamide in/on brinjal fruits following foliar application of Fame 480 SC at 90 (standard dose) and 180 (double dose) g a.i. ha(?-1). The residues estimated using HPLC revealed persistence of flubendiamide in/on brinjal till 3rd and 7th day after the last spray at standard and double dose, respectively. The residues of flubendiamamde were reported as parent compound, and no desiodo metabolite was detected. The initial deposits of 0.17 and 0.42 μg g(?-1) in/on brinjal fruits reached below determination level of 0.05 μg g(?-1) on the 5th and 10th day at standard and double dose, respectively. The half life of flubendiamide on brinjal fruits ranged from 2.68 to 2.55 days. Soil samples analyzed on the 15th day after the last spray revealed residues at below determination level (0.05 μg g(?-1)) at either dose of application.  相似文献

Industrial symbiosis (IS) emerged as a self-organizing business strategy among firms that are willing to cooperate to improve their economic and environmental performance. The adoption of such cooperative strategies relates to increasing costs of waste management, most of which are driven by policy and legislative requirements.Development of IS depends on an enabling context of social, informational, technological, economical and political factors. The power to influence this context varies among the agents involved such as the government, businesses or coordinating entities. Governmental intervention, as manifested through policies, could influence a wider range of factors; and we believe this is an area which is under-researched.This paper aims to critically appraise the waste policy interventions from supra-national to sub-national levels of government. A case study methodology has been applied to four European countries i.e. Denmark, the UK, Portugal and Switzerland, in which IS emerged or is being fostered.The findings suggest that there are commonalities in policy instruments that may have led to an IS enabling context. The paper concludes with lessons learnt and recommendations on shaping the policy context for IS development.  相似文献

Seventeen bacterial isolates were screened for the utilization of low density polyethylene (LDPE) as the sole carbon source, out of which five potential strains were selected for the development of a consortium. In vitro biodegradation efficiency of the consortium was studied for two differently textured forms of LDPE viz. non-poronized and poronized. Although, both the forms were acted-upon well by the consortium, but the degradation was found to be better in the poronized form. This was substantiated by λ-max shift, FTIR spectra and simultaneous TG-DTG-DTA. The analysis revealed the breakage and formation of chemical bonds in the polymer backbone, as a result of microbial activity. The biodegraded samples of non-poronized and poronized LDPE exhibited similar weight losses at 400 °C (24.12% and 24.48%, respectively) as compared to their controls (4% and 4.5% respectively), but the latter could achieve it with greater ease as reveled by its lower heat of reactions (ΔH values). The study signifies the influence of poronization of polyethylene on its rate of biodegradation.  相似文献

Aluminum and its salts widely used in our daily life have been reported nephrotoxic to humans and animals following prolonged exposure. Therefore, the present study was made to examine the renoprotective role of Spirulina platensis against Al3+ and AlF3 in male Swiss albino mice. Exposure to these chemicals decreased feed and water intake, and body and kidney weights. Histology of kidney and their biochemistry were also markedly altered along with that of serum biochemistry. Spirulina not only minimize toxic effects of test chemicals but also favored faster recovery of treated mice after their withdrawal.  相似文献
