Fars Comprehensive Agricultural Database was created to remove bottlenecks and constrains of province for decision makers in a way that leads to sustainable agriculture. Regarding Fars agricultural comprehensive information database, and the importance of wheat as the strategic commodity, this study was conducted in Ali-Abad-e-Kamin (Pasargad, Iran) to assess two most important managerial factors affecting other agricultural factors. Therefore, in this study, besides evaluating the effect of water resource on wheat yield and other traits, education impacts were analyzed and evaluated as well. Data were collected regarding cadastre land use information derived from satellite imagery combined with GIS potencies, and also a comprehensive questionnaire was completed to collect local field information. Results revealed that educational level has significant effect on crop yield, fields’ area and seed consumption rate and also effect of water resource showed significant difference for crop yield, fields’ area. Finally, interactive effect of water resource and educational level showed significant difference just for wheat yield. Also, as a result, higher education positively results in improved wheat yield, lands’ area and seed consumption rate. On the other hand, river as a type of sustainable water resource with karstic geological formations positively affected wheat yield, lands’ area and farms distance from village. Overall, transferring knowledge from relevant organization resulting in higher productivity seems to be necessary. 相似文献
The purpose of this paper is to compare the attitudes of male and female rice growers towards environmental sustainability
and identify the constructs that will influence their attitudes and behaviors. A survey methodology with systematic sampling
techniques was used to select 181 households in four villages’ of Kazeroon, Iran. Results indicated that women farmers’ attitudes were more positive toward sustainability. A model was developed to
explain farmers’ attitudes and behavior toward environmental sustainability. Finally, the determinants of sustainable agriculture
attitudes and behavior are discussed.

Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and phenol-degrading yeast were isolated in order to study the synergism effects of phenol-degrading yeast and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria for enhancing the nitrification in coke wastewater from the Isfahan Steel Company. The influent and effluent samples with approximately 600-1200 mg L(-1) ammonium and 550-2350 mg L(-1) phenol were collected aseptically in sterile flasks. The biodegradation of phenol and nitrification were studied with different treatments. The results showed that addition of Na2CO3 and autotrophic bacteria to wastewater increased the ammonium removal by 100%. Furthermore, the synergism effects of phenol-degrader yeast and autotrophic bacteria reduced the time for ammonium removal. 相似文献
Radioactive wastes containing Cs+ and Sr2+ are among the most dangerous environmental pollutants. Therefore, removing Cs+ and Sr2+ from environmental media is needed. Removal can be done by nanocrystalline ion exchangers. Nanocrystalline ion exchangers are studied in depth for the treatment of nuclear wastes because these exchangers have high exchange capacity and fast kinetics. However, operating the columns of these exchangers is very difficult. This issue may be overcome by the preparation and use of nanocomposites. Here, we prepared a novel polyacrylonitrile–zeolite nanocomposite for the removal of Cs+ and Sr2+ in a fixed-bed column operation. We studied the effect of influent flow rate, nanocomposite bed height and initial concentrations. Experimental data were analysed using the Thomas model and the bed-depth service time model. The results reveal that total adsorbed ion and bed capacity increased with increasing initial ions concentration and bed height; and decreased with increasing influent flow rate. The maximum bed capacity was 0.085 meq/g for Cs+ and 0.128 meq/g for Sr2+. The critical bed height (Z0) was 4.35 cm for Cs+ and 2.89 cm for Sr2+. These findings demonstrate that the new nanocomposite is suitable for removal of Cs+ and Sr2+. 相似文献
Efficient use of energy helps to achieve increased production and productivity and contributes to the economy, profitability, and competitiveness of agricultural sustainability of rural communities. Evaluation of wheat and barley production systems in view of energy balance was conducted in Khorasan Razavi Province, Iran. Data were collected by using a face-to-face questionnaire from wheat and barley fields in 2011. Results revealed that total energy input for wheat was 51,040 MJ ha?1 and for barley 44,866; in wheat and barley systems, renewable energy was consumed by 25.43 and 23.53 %, while non-renewable energy was consumed by 74.57 and 76.47 %, respectively. Energy use efficiency, energy productivity, and net energy were 1.7 kg MJ?1, 0.088 kg MJ?1, and 35,987 MJ ha?1 in wheat system and 1.83 kg MJ?1, 0.092 kg MJ?1, and 33,833 MJ ha?1 in barley system, respectively. Energy intensiveness in wheat fields (61.84 MJ $?1) was higher than in barley fields (58.71 MJ $?1). Also, benefit-to-cost ratio in wheat system (1.59) was higher than in barley system (1.35). In general, production in barley fields was more sustainable than wheat production because, in view of ecological indices such as amount of energy use and renewable energy consumption, it was more environment-friendly production. 相似文献
Background. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are injuries and disorders that affect the body’s movement and musculoskeletal system. Awkward postures represent one of the major ergonomic risk factors that cause WMSDs among sonographers while working with an ultrasound transducer. This study aimed to design and evaluate a new holder for the ultrasound transducer. Materials and methods. In the first phase a new holder was designed for the transducer, considering design principles. Evaluation of the new holder was then carried out by electrogoniometry and a locally perceived discomfort (LPD) scale. Results. The application of design principles to the new holder resulted in an improvement of wrist posture and comfort. Wrist angles in extension, flexion, radial deviation and ulnar deviation were lower with utilization of the new holder. The severity of discomfort based on the LPD method in the two modes of work with and without the new holder was reported with values of 1.3 and 1.8, respectively (p?<?0.05). Conclusion. Overall, this study indicated that applying ergonomics design principles was effective in minimizing wrist deviation and increasing comfort while working with the new holder. 相似文献
Nowadays, the importance of green and biodegradable plastics as viable substitutes for non-degradable petroleum-based materials is felt more than ever. Regenerated cellulose (RC) as a potential candidate suffers from poor processability and inferior properties, limiting its wide applications. In this study, it is demonstrated that citric acid (CA) enhances physical, mechanical, and thermal properties of RC films, due to RC-citric acid compatibility. 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (EMIMCl) as a green ionic liquid was employed for the processing of RC. The optimum properties in terms of thermal stability, mechanical strength, contact angle, water uptake, and oxygen permeability were achieved at 10 wt% of CA. However, further incorporation of CA adversely affected the film properties. This behaviour was explained by the crosslinking and plasticizing effects of CA. Furthermore, in vitro cytotoxicity test demonstrated that RC/CA films are cytocompatible, suggesting the potential advantage of using these biopolymeric films for biomaterial and biological applications.
