In the last 10 years, research devoted to the construct of leader–member exchange (LMX) has increasingly relied on the tenets of social exchange as a theoretical foundation to propose and test relationships between supervisor‐subordinate dyads and variables of significant consequence. Despite the theory underpinning such relationships, researchers continue to measure LMX with scales developed to assess vertical dyad linkage (VDL), not social exchange. To address this concern, we investigated the content validity of LMX7 (the most widely cited measure of LMX) and LMX‐MDM (a popular multidimensional measure of LMX). Findings from content validity assessments by 25 LMX experts revealed LMX7 and LMX‐MDM items are not representative of the construct of social exchange. As such, we undertook a series of studies to develop a new scale we label, leader–member social exchange (LMSX). Results indicate LMSX is able to assess different, as well as the same, components of the supervisor–subordinate relationship as previous scales while being more theoretically consistent with the notion of social exchange. Electromagnetic field (EMF) measurements, for labor safety and environment protection purposes, are performed in the near-field.
Inaccuracy of the far-field EMF measurements oscillates around ±1 dB or bit worse; in the near-field measurements, errors
at the level of ±6 dB must be sometimes accepted. In the case of non-stationary EMF measurements, their sense may be changed
from quantitative to qualitative ones. In order to make it possible an estimation of the non-stationary EMF measurement accuracy,
it is proposed new method of the meters calibration. The method is based upon a standard excitation with identical signal
as the measured one. A set for the purpose includes a pulse generator (of frequency and pulse rating identical with the radiation
source) and computer-controlled amplitude modulator that reflects the radiation pattern of an antenna (e.g. radar one) and
its rotations. Contrary to calibration using monochromatic continuous wave (CW) excitation, proposed method should be repeated
for any radiation source. The disadvantage is compensated by a possibility to estimate (additional) error of the method. Calculations

Although transformational leadership has been investigated in connection with change at higher levels of organizations, less is known about its “in‐the‐trenches” impact. We examined relations among transformational leadership, explicit change reactions (i.e., relationship quality), change frequency, and change consequences (i.e., task performance and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB)) during continuous incremental organizational change at lower hierarchical levels. In a sample of 251 employees and their 78 managers, analyses revealed that the quality of relationships between leaders and employees mediated the influence of transformational leadership on employee task performance and OCB. We also found that change frequency moderated the positive association of relationship quality with task performance and OCB, such that associations were stronger when change frequency was high.
