Antineoplastic platinum complexes represent new-developed inorganic cytostatics, which interfere with intracellular nucleic acids, especially with DNA. The main representative is cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (II) (cis-platin, DDP). It has proven effective against human urogenital tumors and against carcinomas of the head and neck. The most severe side effects are nephrotoxicity and gastrointestinal irritation. Stimulated by the clinical success of cisplatin, a series of platinum complexes of the second generation has been recently developed. The engineering, construction, performance and running costs of a catalytic flue gas cleaning component in the low dust area of a municipal waste incinerator is discussed. For this purpose, the case study of a Flemish incineration plant is presented, covering the history, the design procedure of the catalyst, relevant process data and the financial aspects. A reliable PCDD/F-destruction by means of oxidation by the catalyst to typical values of 0.001 ng TEQ/Nm3 has been demonstrated. The aim of the thesis was to specify key differences in chemistry and biota (zooplankton communities) among fluvial lakes in three regions of the Czech Republic: the central part of the Elbe River, the upper part of the Lu?nice River and the upper part of the Svratka River. The ten studied lakes of the three regions differ in size, geology, shading, connection with the river and the level of anthropogenic impact. The following hypotheses were tested: (1) The water chemistry of fluvial lakes significantly differs in different floodplains. In the central Elbe River floodplain, there are the highest values of conductivity and concentrations of organic matter and nutrients. Fluvial lakes of the Svratka River floodplain show the lowest level of these parameters, and fluvial lakes of the upper Lu?nice River have levels intermediate between the two previous regions. (2) The chemistry of fluvial lakes that have contact with the river through surface connection is significantly influenced by the river. (3) The structure of zooplankton differs in different lakes due to the geographical distance between locations, their different altitude and water chemistry. The PCA analysis of selected parameters of the water chemistry revealed a close relationship of locations in the central Elbe River floodplain on the one side and close relationship of the locations in the upper Lu?nice River and Svratka River on the other. However, the amount of organic matter, nitrogen (with the exception of nitrates) and phosphorus was independent of the region. The relationship between the extent of the lake-river connection and the water chemistry was not significant. Determination of sorption coefficients of pharmaceutically active substances carbamazepine, diclofenac, and ibuprofen, in sandy sediments 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Laboratory batch studies were conducted to characterize the sorption behavior of three pharmaceutically active substances (carbamazepine, diclofenac, and ibuprofen) in different sediment types. The sediments were natural sandy sediments from the water saturated zone and the unsaturated zone in the Berlin (Germany) area. They are characterized as medium and fine-grained sands, both with low organic carbon content. The results of the experiments show that sorption coefficients were generally quite low. Distribution coefficients (K(d) values) determined by the batch experiments varied from 0.21 to 5.32 for carbamazepine, 0.55 to 4.66 for diclofenac, and 0.18 to 1.69 for ibuprofen. Comparison of the organic carbon normalized sorption coefficient K(OC) values based on correlation equations with actual experimental data revealed that the calculated data for carbamazepine is of the same order as the experimental data. For diclofenac and ibuprofen the calculated values are much higher than the experimental data, showing a much higher mobility of diclofenac and ibuprofen in natural aquifer sediments than indicated by correlation equations based on octanol water distribution coefficients. 相似文献

We performed detrended correspondence analysis (DCA) ordination to compare seven successional seres running in stone quarries, coal mining spoil heaps, sand and gravel pits, and extracted peatlands in the Czech Republic in central Europe. In total, we obtained 1,187 vegetation samples containing 705 species. These represent various successional stages aged from 1 to 100 years. The successional seres studied were more similar in their species composition in the initial stages, in which synathropic species prevailed, than in later successional stages. This vegetation differentiation was determined especially by local moisture conditions. In most cases, succession led to a woodland, which usually established after approximately 20 years. In very dry or wet places, by contrast, where woody species were limited, often highly valuable, open vegetation developed. Except in the peatlands, the total number of species and the number of target species increased during succession. Participation of invasive aliens was mostly unimportant. Spontaneous vegetation succession generally appears to be an ecologically suitable and cheap way of ecosystem restoration of heavily disturbed sites.
