Over 98% of sprayed insecticides and 95% of herbicides reach non-target species in air, soil, and water. Numerous studies
have reported that pesticide residues can cause acute and chronic toxicity. Pesticide residues can be carcinogenic, mutagenic,
and immunotoxic. There are actually too few studies that bridge the disciplines of chemobioanalysis and environmental toxicology.
Here, we assessed the cytotoxicity of a bipyridilium herbicide diquat in rat adrenal pheochromocytoma cells (PC12). Our results
show that diquat caused the decrease in cell viability with a lethal concentration 50 (LC50) of 1.4 × 10−5 mol/L. This cytotoxicity may result from diquat-induced apoptosis, characterized by nuclear fragmentation and chromatin condensation
by Hoechst 33324 staining. To explore the possible mechanisms, the interaction between herbicide diquat and calf thymus DNA
(ctDNA) was further investigated using fluorescence quenching. The detection of static quenching showed that diquat was linked
with ctDNA by electrostatic interaction with a binding constant of 9.288 × 104 L/mol. This is the first study on the interaction of DNA with herbicide diquat by fluorometric method as well as on the evaluation
of cytotoxicity by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and Hoechst staining. Given the widespread

A series of CeO2 supported V2O5 catalysts with various loadings were prepared with different calcination temperatures by the incipient impregnation. The catalysts were evaluated for low temperature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with ammonia (NH3). The effects of O2 and SO2 on catalytic activity were also studied. The catalysts were characterized by specific surface areas (SBET) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. The experimental results showed that NO conversion changed significantly with the different V2O5 loading and calcination temperature. With the V2O5 loading increasing from 0 to 10 wt%, NO conversion increased significantly, but decreased at higher loading. The optimum calcination temperature was 400°C. The best catalyst yielded above 80% NO conversion in the reaction temperature range of 160°C–300°C. The formation of CeVO4 on the surface of catalysts caused the decrease of redox ability. 相似文献

一氧化氮(nitric oxide,NO)作为生物活性分子,广泛参与各种生物和非生物胁迫。采用营养液培养,研究Cu胁迫下番茄体内L-精氨酸、NO、多胺代谢对外源NO的响应机制,以期为铜污染区域蔬菜种植提供科学依据和技术支持。结果表明,Cu胁迫下添加外源SNP(硝普钠,外源NO供体)能够调节番茄根系和叶片中精氨酸脱羧酶(Arginine Decarboxylase,ADC)、鸟氨酸脱羧酶(Ornithine Decarboxylase,ODC)及一氧化氮合酶(Nitric Oxide Synthase,NOS)活性。根系中,外源SNP能够上调NOS活性,L-精氨酸代谢向着NO合成方向进行;叶片中,外源SNP能够同时上调ADC、ODC、NOS活性,PA、NO的合成同时进行;此外,Cu胁迫下添加外源SNP能够增加根系和叶片L-精氨酸含量,而作为PA、NO的合成前体,精氨酸含量升高无疑会间接促进PA、NO的合成,从而提高番茄对Cu胁迫的抵抗能力。 相似文献

农田生态系统是人类社会存在和发展的基础,研究农田生态系统服务功能及其价值评估具有重要的意义.文章综述了国内外有关农田生态系统服务功能及其价值评估的研究进展;提出了农田生态系统服务功能的特点;将其服务功能类型划分为生产功能、生态功能和生活功能.分析了当前研究中存在的问题,如服务功能形成的微观机制及其参数研究欠缺;评价结果不准确;评价指标和方法有待完善等.因此,今后农田生态系统服务功能价值评估研究重点应着重于理论探索和方法完善方面,从农田生态系统微观形成机制入手,开展不同尺度和类型的农田生态系统功能价值评估研究,充分考虑影响其功能价值的因素,改进评估的手段、方法和技术,使评估结果更具可比性和实用性,为合理开发利用农业资源、管理农田生态系统,实现农业的永续发展提供理论依据和技术支持. 相似文献

研究了土壤干旱胁迫对Larrea tridentata叶片10种营养元素含量的影响.结果表明:N、P、K、Ca、Mg含量在土壤干旱胁迫下的变化趋势基本相同,都是在轻度水分胁迫时略有下降,随着土壤水分胁迫的加重,含量逐渐增加,只有P含量在重度水分胁迫(土壤水势为-2.415 MPa)时有所下降;在土壤水势超过了萎蔫系数后,L.tridentata的各大量营养元素含量仍能维持在较高水平有助于增强其抗旱性;L.tridentata叶片微量元素(Fe、B、Mn、Cu、Mo)含量对土壤干旱胁迫的反映不敏感,各微量营养元素的含量在土壤干旱胁迫时与正常土壤水分状态时没有显著差异;总的来讲,在土壤水分胁迫状况下,L.tridentata能通过对自身营养元素调节的方式来提高自身的抗旱性,表现出较强的抗旱性. 相似文献
