Detailed analysis of the effects of recycling process on long-term water absorption, thickness swelling and water desorption behavior of natural fiber polypropylene composites is reported. Composite materials containing polypropylene and wood flour, rice hulls or bagasse fibers were produced at constant fiber loading and were exposed to a simulated recycling process consisting of up to five times grinding and reprocessing under controlled conditions. A wide range of analytical methods including water absorption/desorption tests, thickness swelling tests, density measurement, scanning electron microscopy, image analysis, contact angle, fiber length analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was employed to understand the hygroscopic behavior of the recycled composites. Water absorption and thickness swelling behaviors were modeled using existing predictive models. Results indicated that generally the recycled composites had considerably lower water absorption and thickness swellings as compared with the original composites which were attributed to changes in physical and chemical properties of the composites induced by the recycling process.  相似文献

膜生物反应器(MBR)具有与传统工艺无法比拟的优势而成为污水处理中很有前景的工艺。由于MBR工艺本身固有的复杂性和不确定性,发展一种能够为该工艺提供整体性理解的模型是相当必要的。模型的建立可为MBR污水处理的优化设计和运行控制提供理论依据。给出了3类用于模拟MBR工艺的模型:生物动力学模型、膜污染模型和对MBR完整描述的综合模型。在此基础上,阐述了每个模型各自的机制和功能,分析讨论了模型研究与应用中存在的问题,并提出了MBR相关模型的发展前景。  相似文献

采用高效液相色谱/质谱仪联机选择离子监测(LC/MS-SIM, m/z = 499)方法,测定了我国部分城市自来水、地面水、地下水和海水中的全氟辛磺酸(PFOS)含量.从全部样品中均检测到PFOS,表明我国境内水环境中普遍存在着PFOS污染.被调查部分城市自来水、海水和远离人类活动地区的水中PFOS浓度大多数低于1ng/L,容易受到生活污水和工业废水污染的水中PFOS浓度范围为1.50~44.6ng/L.  相似文献

Dechlorination of hexachlorobenzene (HCB) was achieved by a liquid potassium–sodium (K–Na)-alloy. HCB in a cyclohexane/benzene solution (22 mmol/l, 4.67 g/l as chlorine) was dechlorinated by almost 100% after a 30-min reaction, indicating high reactivity of K–Na alloy and high proton donating power of cyclohexane. Decreasing orders of chlorobenzenes identified after a 15-min reaction, by amount were 1,2,3,4- > 1,2,3,5- > 1,2,4,5- for tetrachlorobenzenes, 1,2,4- > 1,2,3- > 1,3,5- for trichlorobenzenes, and 1,4- > 1,3- > 1,2- for dichlorobenzenes. It was hypothesized that once one chlorine atom in HCB was replaced with a proton, the adjacent chlorine atom to the proton tended to be replaced with another hydrogen atom. A total of 63 PCBs formed via the Wurtz–Fittig reaction were identified as by-products in the sample after a 15-min reaction. Among PCBs found, 2,3,4,5-tetrachlorobiphenyl, which was a product from 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene formed via the Wurtz–Fittig reaction, was detected in relatively high concentration (48.9 nmol/ml). The sample obtained from a reaction mixture after 30 min contained only 14 PCBs in trace amounts, indicating that the PCBs formed were also further dechlorinated by K–Na alloy. Non-chlorinated compounds––such as methylbenzene, dimethylbenzene, dimer of tetrahydrofuran, and dicyclohexyl (dimer of cyclohexane)––were also identified in the samples. A method using K–Na alloy developed in the present study dechlorinated satisfactorily HCB at room temperature.  相似文献

Tread compound of truck tires is based primarily on natural rubber or blends of natural rubber (NR) and synthetic polymers in combination with high grade carbon black. When the tread compound is attacked by a strain of Nocardia capable of degrading NR, part of the NR in the compound is mineralized, and part is disintegrated to very small black particles. The small black particles consist of the residual rubber and inorganic fillers. At higher NR content, large and deep cavities are formed on the surface of the pieces of the tread compound after microbial disintegration. At lower content of NR, large but very shallow cavities or very small pits can be seen on the tread surface. During microbial growth on the tread compound, isoprene oligomers with molecular weight of about two thousand are produced. Not only the isoprene oligomers, but also butadiene oligomers are produced during microbial disintegration of the tread compound of NR/synthetic rubber blend.  相似文献

Newspapers impregnated with NaCl mixed with various chloride metals (CuCl2, MgCl2, MnCl2, FeCl3, NiCl2, and CoCl2) and electric wire coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) were combusted in a well-controlled incinerator. Exhaust gas samples collected at the outlet of the incinerator were analyzed for dioxins (PCDDs, PCDFs, and coplanar PCBs) by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The amount of total dioxins formed from newspaper samples ranged from 34.2 ng/g (with NaCl+CoCl2) to 67.0 ng/g (with NaCl+CuCl2). PCDFs composed 88-94% of the total dioxins formed in the exhaust gases. The highest levels of PCDF isomers obtained were Cl3-CDF from the sample with NaCl+CuCl2 (14.8 ng/g), Cl2-CDF from the sample with NaCl+MgCl2 (12.3 ng/g), and Cl(1)-CDF from samples with NaCl+MnCl2 (12.6 ng/g), with NaCl+FeCl3 (11.8 ng/g), and with NaCl+NiCl2 (13.3 ng/g), and with NaCl+CoCl2 (8.62 ng/g). The total of Cl4-8-CDDs comprised 76-88% of the total Cl1-8-CDDs. In particular, Cl7-CDDs had the highest levels except for the sample with NaCl+NiCl2. Total dioxins formed from samples of electric wire coated with PVC and PVC alone were 38.3 ng/g and 112 ng/g, respectively, suggesting that the presence of copper reduced dioxin formation.  相似文献

In Japan, especially in the Tokyo area, railway platforms are increasingly crowded with passengers during commuter rush hours for many reasons. It is a very important task for railway companies to reduce the risk of passengers being exposed to accidents. We built safety fences with automatic doors on the platform of Meguro Station, one of the stations of the Yamanote commuter line in Tokyo, in order to investigate whether safety fences are useful for preventing passengers from falling off the crowded platforms onto the tracks and being hit by moving trains during commuter rush hours. As a result of our investigations, we found that the safety fences with automatic doors do not hinder the flow of the passengers, and therefore concluded that fences are a useful way of reducing the risk of accidents to passengers.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate occupational noise exposure and hearing defects among sawmill workers in the south of Thailand. Seven hundred sawmill workers participated, of which 335 (47.9%) were male. The mean age of the sawmill workers was 33.5 years (SD 10.2), and more than 60% were <35 years old; 75.1% of the workers had less than 5 years of work experience. Only about one in four workers (25%) had been trained in use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and half of the participants never or rarely wore PPE while working. The prevalence rate of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) was 22.8% (N?=?42). Male workers had significantly higher risk than female workers (odds ratio [OR]?=?2.21). Workers aged older than 25 years had significantly higher risks for NIHL (OR?=?3.51–12.42) than workers younger than 25 years. Electrochemical reduction with electrochemically generated naphthalene radical anion in N,N-dimethylformamide was applied to the dechlorination of five representative POPs, namely HCB, lindane, DDT, PCP and aldrin. Rapid and complete dechlorination was possible for lindane and DDT to give nearly quantitative yields of benzene and 1,1-diphenylethane, respectively. HCB was reduced through complex reaction pathways to yield unknown products. Dechlorination of PCP and aldrin beyond dichlorinated compounds was difficult because of their very negative reduction potential. The reaction pathways for each dechlorination were proposed with the identification of intermediates.  相似文献

Organic compounds emitted from combustion of waste plastics involving vinyl chloride polymer were investigated in an actual waste incinerator. The amounts of volatile aliphatic hydrocarbons and volatile chlorinated organic compounds decreased when the secondary combustion temperature was controlled over 900°C. On the other hand, the amounts of some aromatic hydrocarbons increased with a rise of the secondary combustion temperature.  相似文献
