From a literature review to a conceptual framework for sustainable supply chain management 总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9
Academic and corporate interest in sustainable supply chain management has risen considerably in recent years. This can be seen by the number of papers published and in particular by journal special issues. To establish the field further, the purpose of this paper is twofold. First, it offers a literature review on sustainable supply chain management taking 191 papers published from 1994 to 2007 into account. Second, it offers a conceptual framework to summarize the research in this field comprising three parts. As starting point related triggers are identified. This allows putting forward two distinct strategies: (1) supplier management for risks and performance, and (2) supply chain management for sustainable products. It is evident that research is still dominated by green/environmental issues. Social aspects and also the integration of the three dimensions of sustainability are still rare.Both practitioners in companies and academics might find the review useful, as it outlines major lines of research in the field. Further, it discusses specific features of sustainable supply chains as well as limitations of existing research; this should stimulate further research. 相似文献

We compared membrane thickness of fully developed eggs with those of non-developed eggs in different endangered falcon taxa.
To our knowledge, membrane thickness variation during development has never been examined before in falcons or any other wild
bird. Yet, the egg membrane constitutes an important protective barrier for the developing embryo. Because eggshell thinning
is a general process that occurs during bird development, caused by calcium uptake by the embryo, eggs are expected to be
less protected and vulnerable to breakage near the end of development. Thus, egg membranes could play an important protective
role in the later stages of development by getting relatively thicker. We used linear mixed models to explore the variation
in membrane thickness (n = 378 eggs) in relation to developmental stage, taxon, female age, mass and identity (73 females), egg-laying sequence (105
clutches) and the study zone. Our results are consistent with the prediction that egg membranes are thicker in fully developed
eggs than in non-developed eggs, suggesting that the increase in membrane thickness during development may compensate for
eggshell thinning. In addition, our data shown that thicker membranes are associated with larger, heavier and relatively wider
eggs, as well as with eggs that had thinner eggshells. Egg-laying sequence, female age and the study zone did not explain
the observed variation of membrane thickness in the falcon taxa studied. As we provide quantitative data on membrane thickness
variation during development in falcons not subjected to contamination or food limitation (i.e. bred under captive conditions),
our data may be used as a reference for studies on eggs from natural populations. Considering the large variation in membrane
thickness and the multiple factors affecting on it and its importance in the protection of the embryo, we encourage other
researchers to include measurements on membranes in studies exploring eggshell thickness variation. 相似文献

Heavy metal (HM) contaminations in the topsoil around handicraft villages with non-ferrous heavy metal recycling in the Red River Delta can impose serious threats to the subsoil as well as to the groundwater quality. This feature is very important for paddy soils due to relatively high leaching rates and the dissolution of Fe–Mn oxides under reducing conditions which can accelerate the amount of HM translocated to the subsoil and groundwater.The transport of Cu, Pb and Zn in paddy soils was simulated by numerical modeling of non-equilibrium solute transport with an adaptation of the Hydrus-1D model. For the simulation, a water layer on the soil surface was included, from which HM can infiltrate into the soil depending on the soil hydraulic properties. Sorption coefficients, obtained from batch experiments were used as input data for the simulations. Calculated leaching rates were compared with the binding forms of HM in the samples.The simulations show that leaching rates decrease in the order: Zn > Cu > Pb. This order is confirmed by the results of sequential extractions. Under constant flooded conditions at a water table of 20 cm, Cu, Pb and Zn were estimated to reach the soil depth of 1 m within 470, 495 and 370 days, respectively, emphasizing that reactive pollutants can reach groundwater in a relatively short time. A change of the water layer from 1 to 30 cm can accelerate the leaching rate of HM up to 36%. The hard pan layer was observed to induce a hysteresis in hydraulic conductivity and slow down the movement of HM. Uncertainties in modeling arise as several parameters in the simulation can be determined only with significant errors. However, Hydrus-1D is a suitable tool for simulation of the transport of HM in paddy soils. 相似文献

The neural mechanisms underlying cricket singing behavior have been the focus of several studies, but the central pattern
generator (CPG) for singing has not been localized conclusively. To test if the abdominal ganglia contribute to the singing
motor pattern and to analyze if parts of the singing CPG are located in these ganglia, we systematically truncated the abdominal
nerve cord of fictively singing crickets while recording the singing motor pattern from a front-wing nerve. Severing the connectives
anywhere between terminal ganglion and abdominal ganglion A3 did not preclude singing, although the motor pattern became more
variable and failure-prone as more ganglia were disconnected. Singing terminated immediately and permanently after transecting
the connectives between the metathoracic ganglion complex and the first unfused abdominal ganglion A3. The contribution of
abdominal ganglia for singing pattern generation was confirmed by intracellular interneuron recordings and current injections.
During fictive singing, an ascending interneuron with its soma and dendrite in A3 depolarized rhythmically. It spiked 10 ms
before the wing-opener activity and hyperpolarized in phase with the wing-closer activity. Depolarizing current injection
elicited rhythmic membrane potential oscillations and spike bursts that elicited additional syllables and reliably reset the
ongoing chirp rhythm. Our results disclose that the abdominal ganglion A3 is directly involved in generating the singing motor
pattern, whereas the more posterior ganglia seem to provide only stabilizing feedback to the CPG circuit. Localizing the singing
CPG in the anterior abdominal neuromeres now allows analyzing its circuitry at the level of identified interneurons in subsequent

Proline is a proteinogenic amino acid in which the side chain forms a ring, the pyrrolidine ring. This is a five-membered ring made up of four carbons and one nitrogen. Here, we study the evolutionary significance of this ring size. It is shown that the size of the pyrrolidine ring has the advantage of being nearly planar and strain-free, based on a general mathematical assertion saying that the angular sum of a polygon is maximum if it is planar and convex. We also provide a sketch of the proof to this assertion. The optimality of the ring size of proline can be derived from a triangle inequality for angles. Quasi-planarity is physiologically significant because it allows an easier and evolutionarily old type of fit into binding grooves of proteins with which proline-rich proteins interact. Finally, we present a comparison with other planar, nearly planar and non-planar biomolecules such as neurotransmitters, hormones and toxins, involving, for example, aromatic rings, cyclopentanone and 1,3-dioxole. 相似文献

Results of leaching experiments using active and inactively simulated HLW glass in concentrated NaCl solution are described. Measured solution concentrations of glass components, fission products and actinides are compared with computed data. The computed pH value corresponds with the findings from experiments with inactively simulated glass samples. Moreover, the concentrations of silica and strontium can be described adequately by reaction path modelling. The computed U concentration is explained by the precipitation of schoepite or Na2U2O7. The computed Am concentration significantly exceeds the measured data. This may be attributed to sorption processes on corrosion products of the glass, which are relevant also for lanthanide elements under the conditions of the experiments. This hypothesis is tested by solid solution approaches and by computing sorption of Am onto SiO2 precipitates. 相似文献

The extraction of PCBs from spiked soils using the Medium‐Pressure Liquid‐Extraction method showed good recovery rates. Comparison of MPLE and Soxhlet extraction of naturally contaminated soil showed similar results. However, too large quantities of solvents have to be used in MPLE procedure and the elution profile makes it unlikely, that the aspired separation from PAHs would be sufficient. 相似文献

The vertical diffusional mass (solute) transfer through a suspended sediment layer, e.g. at the bottom of a lake, reservoir or estuary, by the propagation of velocity fluctuations from above was investigated. The attenuation of the velocity fluctuations in the suspension layer and the associated effect on solute transfer through the suspension layer was simulated. To represent large eddies traveling downstream in water over a high-concentration suspended sediment layer, a streamwise velocity fluctuation moving in downstream direction was imposed along the upper boundary of the suspension layer. Velocity fluctuations and downstream velocity were normalized by the shearvelocity (U*) at the top of the suspension layer. Streamwise and vertical velocity components inside the suspension layer, were obtained from the 2-D continuity and the Navier–Stokes equations. The persistence of turbulence with depth—as it penetrates from the overlying water into the suspension layer—was found to depend on its amplitude, its period, and on the apparent viscosity of the suspension. The turbulence was found to propagate efficiently into the suspension layer when its frequency is low, and the apparent viscosity of the suspension is high. Effects on vertical mass transfer were parameterized by penetration depth and effective diffusion coefficient, and related to apparent viscosity of the suspension, Schmidt number and shear velocity on top of the suspension layer. The enhancement of turbulence penetration by viscosity is similar to the flow near an oscillating flat plate (Stokes’ second problem), but is opposite to turbulence penetration into a stationary porous and permeable sediment bed. The information is applicable to water quality modeling mear the sediment/water interface of lakes, river impoundments and estuaries. 相似文献
