Meganyctiphanes norvegica (M. Sars)is a pelagic crustacean that plays a key role in marine food webs of North Atlantic Ocean and marginal seas. We
studied eight population samples collected in the European Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. By means of single strand conformation
polymorphism analysis (SSCP) and direct sequencing, we investigated a segment of 158 base pairs of the mitochondrial gene
coding for the subunit 1 of NADH dehydrogenase. We found 12 sequence variants among the 385 individuals studied. Analysis
of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed that 14.75% of the total genetic variability was explained by differences between populations,
thus indicating absence of panmixia for these populations. Pairwise comparisons revealed three distinct genetic pools: the
first one represented by Cadiz Bay, the second one by the Ligurian Sea, and the third one included all the NE Atlantic samples.
We also investigated one population from the Alboran Sea (within the Mediterranean basin, east of the Strait of Gibraltar).
This population was found to be genetically intermediate between the NE Atlantic samples and the Ligurian sample, suggesting
that the restriction to the gene flow is not associated with the Strait of Gibraltar, but possibly with the Oran–Almeria oceanographic
front. The present work indicates that M. norvegica, although endowed with a high dispersal capacity because of its pelagic habit, can develop separate breeding units inside
the same oceanic basin (the Atlantic). Furthermore, the Ligurian sample should be considered as a distinct evolutionary entity,
separated from the Atlantic population.

To assess the role of celestial rotation during daytime in the development of the magnetic compass course, pied flycatchers
(Ficedula hypoleuca Pallas, Muscicapidae) were handraised in Latvia under various celestial and magnetic conditions. Tests were performed during
autumn migration in the local geomagnetic field (50 000 nT, 73° inclination) in the absence of celestial cues. A group of
birds that had never seen the sky showed a bimodal preference for the migratory southwest-northeast axis, whereas a second
group that had been exposed to the natural sky from sunrise to sunset in the local geomagnetic field showed a unimodal preference
for the seasonally appropriate southwesterly direction. A third group that had also been exposed to the daytime sky, but in
the absence of magnetic compass information, also oriented bimodally along a southwest-northeast axis. These findings demonstrate
that observing celestial rotation during daytime enables birds to choose the right end of the migratory axis for autumn migration
at the Latvian test location. This transformation of axial behavior into appropriate migratory orientation, however, requires
the birds to have simultaneous access to information on both celestial rotation and the geomagnetic field.

The paper focuses on current mechanical waste processing technologies and out-of-the-box processes linked to the processing of coal and mineral resources, to ensure high-quality feedstock recycling of polyolefin-rich post-consumer plastic fractions. Moreover, the study aims to provide the basis for the technical and economic feasibility of the chemical recycling route of this plastic fraction. When evaluating common mechanical processes, either dry or wet ones, sink–float separation in a cylindrical centrifugal force separator achieves the best results. It combines the advantages of a simple, robust apparatus of low complexity and high capacity with selective separation through the accelerated settling of particles in the centrifugal field. Furthermore, the disconnection of the separation medium feed from the solid input increases residence times. Based on the above findings, a pilot-scale plant was constructed which consists of a centrifugal force separator and a hydro jig for the pre-separation of heavy waste components. Several test campaigns were conducted to separate polyolefins from various waste fractions. Two-stage processing in the centrifugal force separator rendered almost 90 wt% of polyolefin content in the produced lightweight fraction and of polyolefin recovery. One-stage processing, on the other hand, resulted in reduced polyolefin content in the lightweight fraction.
The organic ground substance (OGS) is an adsorbent of many of the harmful substances found in productive soil. Using the example of adsorption enthalpy of Phenol derivatives, it can be shown that the organic connection on the OGS in sewage farm land and nonsewage farm land is comparable. Based on the OGS content, the sewage farm land showed itself to be the worse adsorbent. The reasons lie in blockage at the adsorption points caused by other molecules, but also because not all of the OGS on the sewage farm land functions as an adsorbent. 相似文献
For 25 years the conception has been well established that the overwhelming majority of chemical elements and their isotopes have been synthesized in stars during the course of stellar evolution, in particular during the advanced stages and in supernova explosions. Until now this general idea has not led to major difficulties or inconsistencies. On the contrary, the theoretical models have been very successful in explaining the observed abundances in meteorites, planets (including the earth), stars (including the sun) and galactic cosmic rays. Our present understanding of nucleosynthesis will be reviewed with special attention given to nucleosynthetic processes in primordial stars and supernovae. We will concentrate primarily on predictions which can be made for relative abundances rather than for absolute abundances, because the latter problem requires evolutionary models of the galaxy which are beyond the scope of this article. 相似文献
