• The Chinese population exposure habits were surveyed. • The risks of three scenarios of reclaimed water utilization were evaluated by QMRA. • The risks were markedly higher than the threshold (10−4 pppy) recommended by WHO. • The risks were age-, educational background-, region- and gender-specific. Reclaimed water utilization provides an effective way to alleviate water shortage. However, the residual pathogens in the recycled water like Legionella, could be spread into the air as aerosols through water-to-air transmission process. Inhaling the aerosols by the people nearby increases their susceptibility to diseases. For estimating the health risks associated with the potential exposure of airborne Legionella emitted from the urban use of reclaimed water in China, nationwide questionnaire was designed to investigate the exposure habits of Chinese population in different scenarios. Quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) served as the suitable explanatory tool to estimate the risk. The results indicated that annual infection probability of populations exposed to Legionella for three scenarios, 0.0764 (95% CI: 0.0032–0.6880) for road cleaning, 1.0000 (95% CI: 0.1883–1.0000) for greenfield irrigation, 0.9981 (95% CI: 0.0784–1.0000) for landscape fountain, were markedly higher than the threshold recommended by WHO (10−4 per person per year (pppy)) according to the concentration distribution of Legionella in the reclaimed water. An age-, educational background-, region- and gender-specific data in annual infection probability also showed different tendencies for some subpopulations. This study provides some detailed information on the health risks from the water reuse in China and will be useful to promote the safe application of reclaimed water in water-deficient areas.  相似文献

• UV/VUV/I induces substantial H2O2 and IO3 formation, but UV/I does not. • Increasing DO level in water enhances H2O2 and iodate productions. • Increasing pH decreases H2O2 and iodate formation and also photo-oxidation. • The redox potentials of UV/VUV/I and UV/VUV changes with pH changes. • The treatability of the UV/VUV/I process was stronger than UV/VUV at pH 11.0. Recently, a photochemical process induced by ultraviolet (UV), vacuum UV (VUV), and iodide (I) has gained attention for its robust potential for contaminant degradation. However, the mechanisms behind this process remain unclear because both oxidizing and reducing reactants are likely generated. To better understand this process, this study examined the evolutions of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and iodine species (i.e., iodide, iodate, and triiodide) during the UV/VUV/I process under varying pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) conditions. Results show that increasing DO in water enhanced H2O2 and iodate production, suggesting that high DO favors the formation of oxidizing species. In contrast, increasing pH (from 6.0 to 11.0) resulted in lower H2O2 and iodate formation, indicating that there was a decrease of oxidative capacity for the UV/VUV/I process. In addition, difluoroacetic acid (DFAA) was used as an exemplar contaminant to verify above observations. Although its degradation kinetics did not follow a constant trend as pH increases, the relative importance of mineralization appeared declining, suggesting that there was a redox transition from an oxidizing environment to a reducing environment as pH rises. The treatability of the UV/VUV/I process was stronger than UV/VUV under pH of 11.0, while UV/VUV process presented a better performance at pH lower than 11.0.  相似文献

针对公众关注的电动汽车运行时车内电磁辐射的影响水平,选取国内外主流车企不同车型的纯电动汽车20辆,利用改进的监测系统开展了不同型号的电动汽车运行时不同工况、座椅、点位的低频磁场监测,同时获取时域和频域数据,了解车内磁场强度水平及频谱的变化及分布规律。通过SPSS软件对监测数据进行了单因素方差分析、相关性分析等统计分析,并对监测数据进行了分类数值统计,对频域数据进行了散点图和频点测值对标分析等。分析发现,车内电磁辐射频率主要集中在100 kHz以下;不同运行工况对电动汽车车内磁场强度的影响显著,加、减速时车内磁场强度最高,怠速时最低,匀速时随着速度提升,磁场强度随之增大;车内不同座椅的磁场曝露水平基本一致,但同一座椅自下而上磁场强度依次递减。  相似文献

Ru(Ⅲ) was employed as catalyst for aniline oxidation by permanganate at environmentally relevant pH for the first time. Ru(Ⅲ) could significantly improve the oxidation rate of aniline by 5-24 times with its concentration increasing from 2.5 to 15 μmol/L. The reaction of Ru(Ⅲ) catalyzed permanganate oxidation of aniline was first-order with respect to aniline, permanganate and Ru(Ⅲ), respectively. Thus the oxidation kinetics can be described by a third-order rate law. Aniline degradation by Ru(Ⅲ) catalyzed permanganate oxidation was markedly influenced by pH, and the second-order rate constant (ktapp) decreased from 643.20 to 2.67 (mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 with increasing pH from 4.0 to 9.0, which was possibly due to the decrease of permanganate oxidation potential with increasing pH. In both the uncatalytic and catalytic permanganate oxidation, six byproducts of aniline were identified in UPLC-MS/MS analysis. Ru(Ⅲ), as an electron shuttle, was oxidized by permanganate to Ru(Ⅵ) and Ru(Ⅶ), which acted the co-oxidants for decomposition of aniline. Although Ru(Ⅲ) could catalyze permanganate oxidation of aniline effectively, dosing homogeneous Ru(Ⅲ) into water would lead to a second pollution. Therefore, efforts would be made to investigate the catalytic performance of supported Ru(Ⅲ) toward permanganate oxidation in our future study.  相似文献

随着工业、农业活动的发展,重金属镍污染已引起国内外广泛关注。生物体内积累过量的镍会导致细胞结构和生理过程发生改变,从而阻滞生长发育,对动、植物造成不良影响。植物修复是近年来治理土壤重金属污染的重要手段之一,治理镍污染土壤的主要植物修复方法有植物吸收、植物提取、植物根系过滤和植物-微生物联合修复。而对镍超富集植物收获物的处理方法目前采用多种传统方法的复合工艺,除了克服传统方法的缺点,还能对镍加以回收,提高了资源利用化。  相似文献

过度照明、不适宜的照明分布可能给居民带来身体和精神上的不适。本文对长沙市六个典型光污染源周围居民开展公众主观调查,主要调查公众对光污染的认识、所受光污染影响的程度以及受到光污染影响时的感觉、态度与采取措施等。调查发现:超过九成五的受访者认为长沙存在光污染,且半数受访者认为在El常生活中受到光污染影响,大多数受访者认为光污染导致的影响是金钱无法弥补的。  相似文献

Road-deposited sediments(RDS) on urban impervious surfaces are important carriers of heavy metals.Dissolved heavy metals that come from RDS influenced by acid rain,are more harmful to urban receiving water than particulate parts.RDS and its associated heavy metals were investigated at typical functional areas,including industrial,commercial and residential sites,in Guangdong,Southern China,which was an acid rain sensitive area.Total and dissolved heavy metals in five particle size fractions were analyzed using a shaking method under acid rain scenarios.Investigated heavy metals showed no difference in the proportion of dissolved fraction in the solution under different acid rain pHs above3.0,regardless of land use.Dissolved loading of heavy metals related to organic carbon content were different in runoff from main traffic roads of three land use types.Coarse particles(150 μm) that could be efficiently removed by conventional street sweepers,accounted for 55.1%-47.1%of the total dissolved metal loading in runoff with pH 3.0-5.6.The obtained findings provided a significant scientific basis to understand heavy metal release and influence of RDS grain-size distribution and land use in dissolved heavy metal pollution affected by acid rain.  相似文献
