The influence of aluminium cation as a strong electrophilic centre on the thermolysis of chlorophenols chemisorbed on Al(OH)3 surface was investigated. If thermolysis is carried out at 300 °C the spontaneous rupture of the bond between aluminium and oxygen of phenol takes place in the temperature range of 260–280 °C. The thermolysis of chlorophenoxy aluminium compounds occurs through homolytic and heterolytic bond cleavage. In the case of heterolytic cleavage the leaving chlorophenoxy anion causes a simultaneous formation of the aluminium cation, which is the driving force for the rearrangement of the unstable intermediate. By homolytic cleavage of the Al–O bond the chlorophenoxy radical is formed. The isolation of reaction products of the thermolysis of the system Al(OH)3/2,4,6-trichlorophenol gave five isomers of dimeric compounds of resonance stabilised 2,4,6-trichlorophenoxy radical. The compounds are stable in nonaqueous, aprotic solution, but they are very sensitive to acid catalysis. They quickly transform into aromatic hydroxydiphenyl ethers. ABSTRACTFungicide pyraclostrobin has been widely employed to control plant diseases by inhibiting the mitochondrial respiration of pathogenic fungi. Due to its broad spectrum, the extensive use of pyraclorstrobin was reported to cause emerging resistance on crops. Here, we evaluated the control effect of 250 g L?1 of pyrachlostrobin suspension concentrate (SC) against freckle disease (caused by Phyllosticta spp) on banana. Meanwhile, the dissipation and residue dynamics of pyraclostrobin in banana and soil under field conditions were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with DAD detection in different locations. The analytical method was validated using spiked samples at three levels, which indicated the recoveries ranged from 92.0% to 99.0% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) below 5%, providing a sensitive, precise and reliable method to monitor pyraclostrobin in banana fruit and soil. The dissipation of pyraclostrobine followed the first-order kinetics and its half-lives were 5.25 to 9.90 days. In addition, the terminal residues of pyraclostrobin in banana, banana sarcocarp and soil were below the maximum residue limit (MRL) (0.02 mg kg?1) after a pre-harvest interval (PHI) of 42 days, which suggesting that the use of pyraclostrobin at recommended dosages was safe to banana and the environment. In summary, we demonstrated the integrated evaluation on the disease control capacity of pyraclostrobin and its environmental behavior on banana, aiming to provide solid and basic data for the safe use of fungicide pyraclostrobin. 相似文献

This meta‐analysis builds upon a previous meta‐analysis by (1) including 65 per cent more studies that have over twice the sample size to estimate the relationships between emotional intelligence (EI) and job performance; (2) using more current meta‐analytical studies for estimates of relationships among personality variables and for cognitive ability and job performance; (3) using the three‐stream approach for classifying EI research; (4) performing tests for differences among streams of EI research and their relationships with personality and cognitive intelligence; (5) using latest statistical procedures such as dominance analysis; and (6) testing for publication bias. We classified EI studies into three streams: (1) ability‐based models that use objective test items; (2) self‐report or peer‐report measures based on the four‐branch model of EI; and (3) “mixed models” of emotional competencies. The three streams have corrected correlations ranging from 0.24 to 0.30 with job performance. The three streams correlated differently with cognitive ability and with neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Streams 2 and 3 have the largest incremental validity beyond cognitive ability and the Five Factor Model (FFM). Dominance analysis demonstrated that all three streams of EI exhibited substantial relative importance in the presence of FFM and intelligence when predicting job performance. A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the potential effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on growth, nutrient uptake, and inoculation effectiveness on Phragmites japonica. Spores of AMF strains (Gigaspora margarita Becker &; Hall) were collected from the commercial product ‘Serakinkon’. Four treatments, namely, natural soil (NS), natural soil inoculated by AM fungi, sterilised soil (SS) inoculated by AM fungi, and SS without AM fungi inoculation were selected to determine the effects of applied and indigenous AMF on P. japonica. The average colonisation level of P. japonica was 24–33%, whereas no colonisation was found in the SS. AMF colonisation increased the chlorophyll content (r?=?0.84, p?.01), plant dry mass (r?=?0.89, p?.01), and N, P, K, Mg, and Fe concentration of the plant's roots, stems, and leaves when AMF was applied with natural and SS. In all cases, maximum values were found when the plants were applied with NS in combination with AMF, but Ca concentration decreased as the colonisation level increased. Mn concentration decreased in the roots, but increased in the leaves. Cu concentration was not significantly affected by treatments. N-loss minimisation from the soil was significant when the colonisation level was high. 相似文献

Riparian habitats are important for the maintenance of regional biodiversity. Many studies have compared bird distributions between riparian and non-riparian habitats but have not established how wide riparian habitats used by birds are, as measured by distance from the nearest stream. We investigated the distribution of understory birds along gradients of distance from streams, soil clay content, and slope in a central Amazonian forest, by mist-netting birds three times in 45 plots. We used nonmetric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) to reduce the dimensionality of species quantitative (abundance) and qualitative (presence-absence) composition to one multivariate axis. Estimates of the width of riparian habitats as indicated by understory birds depended on the community attribute considered, measuring 90 m for species quantitative composition and 140 m for species qualitative composition. Species distributions were correlated with clay content but were independent of slope, while distance from streams was positively correlated with clay content but independent of slope. Clay content affects plant species composition, which in turn, may influence bird species composition. However, distribution patterns of birds in relation to distance from streams are consistent among studies carried out in many different temperate and tropical regions, indicating an effect of distance from streams itself. Protection of riparian habitats is one of the most widely used conservation strategies, and Brazilian environmental legislation mandates the protection of a 30 m wide strip of riparian vegetation on either side of small streams. We show that the protected strip should be much wider and recommend strategies to place other forms of land protection contiguous with riparian areas so that Brazilian environmental legislation better fulfills its role of protecting biodiversity associated with riparian habitats. 相似文献

Products or product lines (portfolio items) are often ranked and classified according to their market growth and profitability potentials. Such ranking does not typically address the potential for posing health and environmental risks, nor does it formally consider the current or future regulatory climate or the customer/consumer perception of the product. This article describes a product screening procedure—Health and Environmental Regulatory (HER) Index—that addresses all of the above issues in a qualitative to semiquantitative manner. For each of the eight products addressed during the development of this procedure, we reviewed three subsystems along the product life cycle—manufacturing, distribution, and the customer/consumer. We posed a series of questions and qualitatively scored each one based on relationships among portfolio items and overall corporate, industry, and regulatory benchmarks. Using these results, we developed a product score or index. The multidisciplinary project team provided expert input and a reality check on the results. We have found the HER Index to be a potentially important tool for product risk ranking and priority setting for environmental, health, and safety resource allocation and of significant use in Responsible Care product stewardship. 相似文献

ABSTRACT Water resources planning has emphasized the consideration of alternatives in the formulation of goals and objectives. With greater availability of data and projection models, optimization of plans is now much nearer to accomplishment. In contrast to these favorable aspects of planning, increased complexity of plans and large number of alternatives serving differing sets of goals have extended the time horizons from initial plan formulation to eventual implementation. In this paper a man-machine strategy is proposed to reduce the time required for decision making and conflict resolution. A panel of representatives of the decision makers, influentials and publics involved are selected and brought through a series of dynamic planning steps that simulate real time decision making. Computer interaction graphics is used to visualize the decision making process and to illustrate where and why conflict arises. A mechanism for resolution of conflict and retention of consistency in policy formulation using a cognograph is described. 相似文献
