Rats excreted the 14C from a single oral dose of N-isopropyl-N-[14C]phenyloxamic acid [I, a soil metabolite from 2-chloro-N-isopropylacetanilide (propachlor)] in approximately equal quantities in the urine (49.2%) and feces (48.2%). A milking goat given daily oral doses of [14C]-I (1 mg of I three times daily) excreted more 14C in the feces (56.6%) than it excreted in the urine. From both species, I accounted for 97 to 100% of the urinary 14C, and all of the 14C that was extractable from the feces (73 to 75% of the 14C in feces was extractable with methanol). Goat milk samples collected 16 hr after the last dose contained no detectable 14C. Tissue residues of 14C were determined.  相似文献

Fifteen metabolites of crufomate (4-tert-butyl-2-chlorophenyl methyl methylphosphoramidate, I) were identified in the excreta from rats given single oral doses of I. Compound I was not detected in either the urine or the feces. The metabolic reactions observed were N-and O-demethylation, oxidations of the t-butyl moiety, replacement of the H-N-CH3 with an OH moiety, hydrolysis of the phosphoramidate moiety to yield the phenol, conjugation with glucuronic acid, and combinations of these reactions. No ring dehalogenation or ring substitution was observed.  相似文献

In this presentation, adaptation of the lime/limestone process for flue gas desulfurization (FGD) is discussed and how this process can be adapted to applications in the nonferrous smelting industry such as fugitive gases, copper reverberatory furnace gases, lead sintering gases, molybdenum roasting plant tail gases, and other weak SO2 smelter gases. Different methods for particulate removal are also discussed with emphasis on how the particulate removal process can be integrated with the desulfurization process.  相似文献

Methods for measurements and the potential for occupational exposure to organophosphates (OPs) originating from turbine and hydraulic oils among flying personnel in the aviation industry are described. Different sampling methods were applied, including active within-day methods for OPs and VOCs, newly developed passive long-term sample methods (deposition of OPs to wipe surface areas and to activated charcoal cloths), and measurements of OPs in high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) recirculation filters (n = 6). In total, 95 and 72 within-day OP and VOC samples, respectively, have been collected during 47 flights in six different models of turbine jet engine, propeller and helicopter aircrafts (n = 40). In general, the OP air levels from the within-day samples were low. The urine contained about 90 percent of the dose. Everted sacs of rat small intestine metabolized crufomate (4-tert-butyl-2-chlorophenyl methyl methylphosphoramidate) under in vitro conditions to form six 14C-labeled metabolites in quantities sufficient for isolation and identification. These metabolites were 4-tert-butyl-2-chlorophenyl methyl phosphoramidate (25%), 2-chloro-4(2-hydroxy-1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl methyl methylphosphoramidate (19%), 2-[3-chloro-4-[[(methoxy) (methyl-amino)phosphoinyl]oxy]phenyl]-2-methylpropionic acid (2%), 4-tert-butyl-2-chlorophenol (0.8%) and its glucuronide (6%), and the aromatic glucuronide of 2-chloro-4(2-hydroxy-1,1-dimethylethyl)phenol (1%). These intestinal metabolites may represent precursory stages in the overall metabolism of crufomate.  相似文献

Abstract

Sheep metabolized a single oral dose of 2‐chloro‐N‐isopro‐pylacetanilide (propachlor) to four urinary metabolites. These were 2‐(S‐cysteinyl)‐N‐isopropylacetanilide and 2‐[S‐(N‐acetyl) cysteinyl]‐N‐isopropylacetanilide and the glucuronide conjugates of 4'‐hydroxy‐N‐isopropyl‐2‐methylsulfonylacetanilide and N‐(1‐hydroxyisopropyl)‐2‐methylsulfonylacetanilide. Residues (ppb equivalents of propachlor) from [14C]‐propachlor in the milk from a goat given daily oral doses (1.3 mg of propachlor three times daily for 15 days) plateaued at about 2 to 4 ppb equivalents of propachlor. In goat tissue, residues ranged from 1 ppb (fat) to 20 ppb (liver). Fecal and tissue metabolites were not identified.  相似文献

Situated within the Jordan Rift Valley, along the shores of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) which serves as the national water reservoir of Israel, are saline hot springs that are notable for their enrichment in radon and radium. Though the anomalous radioactivity has been known for almost half a century, the source of the radioactive anomalies has been a subject of conjecture. Radiometric analysis of a rock core drilled through Mt. Arbel, situated to the west of the lake, reveals that the oil shale sequence of the Senonian En Zetim and Ghareb formations is strikingly deficient in radium. Mt. Arbel has been cut by Rift Valley related faults that serve as conduits for ascending brines. The organic matter enriched sequence is encountered in the subsurface at elevations lower than the water level of the nearby radioactive enriched hot springs. It is thus concluded that hot ascending brines underlying the lake flush through the organic matter enriched sequence and remove a substantial percentage of 226Ra from the uranium enriched organic material, before draining to the outlets of the springs. Saline springs that are in contact with organic matter enriched sequence show excess of radium and radon, while fresh water springs in the same stratigraphic position show only excess of radon.  相似文献
