两种新型颗粒填料滴滤床处理VOC废气的试验研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
采用生物陶粒与Hat Creek煤载体两种新型颗粒生物填料,应用于滴滤床处理有机废气的研究,分别进行了贫营养、富营养、高营养条件下,去除VOC性能的对比试验。研究结果表明:二者都是良好的生物填料,然而生物陶粒需要在循环液中投加营养,Hat Creek煤则在不另加营养的低容积负荷条件下,可取得较好去除效果;添加营养液可使Hat Creek煤填料滴滤床处理效果进一步提高,且在贫营养条件下,处理效果明显优于同样添加营养液的生物陶粒滴滤床;二者的最大去除能力和临界容积负荷均随着设置挡板数目的增加而得到提高,但煤填料滴滤床的变化与提高不如陶粒载体滴滤床显著。  相似文献

The energy and nutrient content of most agricultural crops are as good as or superior to natural foods for wild geese and they tend to be available in agricultural landscapes in far greater abundance. Artificial grasslands (fertilised native swards and intensively managed reseeds) offer far superior quality forage and higher intake rates than seminatural or natural grasslands. The availability of such abundant artificial food explains the abandonment of traditional habitats for farmland by geese over the last 50–100 years and favours no reduction in current levels of exploitation of agriculture. Continental scale spatial and temporal shifts among geese undergoing spring fattening confirm their flexibility to respond rapidly to broadscale changes in agriculture. These dramatic changes support the hypothesis that use of agricultural landscapes has contributed to elevated reproductive success and that European and North American farmland currently provides unrestricted winter carrying capacity for goose populations formerly limited by wetlands habitats prior to the agrarian revolution of the last century.  相似文献

Abstract

Pyrolytic product distribution rates and pyrolysis behavior of tire-derived fuels (TDF) were investigated using thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) techniques. A TGA was designed and built to investigate the behavior and products of pyrolysis of typical TDF specimens. The fundamental knowledge of TGA analysis and principal fuel analysis are applied in this study. Thermogravimetry of the degradation temperature of the TDF confirms the overall decomposition rate of the volatile products during the depolymerization reaction. The principal fuel analysis (proximate and ultimate analysis) of the pyrolytic char products show the correlation of volatilization into the gas and liquid phases and the existence of fixed carbon and other compounds that remain as a solid char. The kinetic parameters were calculated using least square with minimizing sum of error square technique. The results show that the average kinetic parameters of TDF are the activation energy, E = 1322 ± 244 kJ/mol, a pre-exponential constant of A = 2.06 ± 3.47 × 1010 min?1, and a reaction order n = 1.62 ± 0.31. The model-predicted rate equations agree with the experimental data. The overall TDF weight conversion represents the carbon weight conversion in the sample.  相似文献

An electrical aerosol analyzer capable of performing rapid, in situ size distribution measurement on aerosols from 0.003 to 1 μm diameter has been described. The instrument is based on the “diffusion charging-mobility analysis” principle first described by Whitby and Clark. The prototype instrument has a total volume of 3.75 ft3 and a total weight of 60 lb, and is sufficiently portable to be used on small airplanes and ground based vehicles for mobile air pollution studies. The paper describes the design, operation, and performance of the instrument. Sample data are presented showing the size distributions of aerosols measured by the instrument on board a small research aircraft over the Los Angeles basin at several different altitudes. In addition, data are presented showing the size distribution of smog chamber aerosols and aerosols produced by a conventional Collison atomizer.  相似文献

Two single round nozzle impactors have been developed for use in Harvard’s indoor air pollution health study. Both impactors operate at flow rates of 4 L/m and are nearly identical, differing only in their cut sizes of 2.5 μm and 10 μm aerodynamic diameters. Two identical cascaded stages of the same cut size are used to obtain sharp cut-off characteristics. The particles are deposited on impaction plates made of oil impregnated, porous material to reduce particle bounce and are discarded. Only the particles collected on the afterfilter are analyzed. Special care has been taken to collect the particles uniformly on the afterfilter to aid in particle analysis.

The jmpactors were calibrated with a vibrating orifice monodisperse aerosol generator. However, due to the sharp cut of the impactors, doublets and triplets in the calibration aerosols, even in small quantities, gave erroneous calibration curves. Therefore, the number of doublets and triplets in the challenging aerosols were measured and appropriate corrections made to the calibration curves.  相似文献

The recent promulgation of stack height regulations and possible changes in the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for sulfur dioxide and the associated dispersion model methodologies, could require older power plants to develop new compliance strategies and upgrade emission control systems. In such situations, an inexpensive, moderate removal efficiency flue gas desulfurization technology could maintain the cost effectiveness of these plants. Such a technology was selected by the Department of Energy for demonstration in its Acid Rain Precursor Control Technology Initiative. The process applies the rotary atomizer techniques developed for lime slurry dry flue gas desulfurization spray absorbers, and utilizes existing ductwork and particulate collectors. This induct scrubbing technology is anticipated to result in a dry desulfurization process of moderate removal efficiency. The critical elements for successful application are (i) adequate mixing for efficient reactant contact, (ii) sufficient residence time to produce a non-wetting product, and (iii) appropriate ductwork cross sectional areas to prevent deposition of reaction products before drying. The ductwork in many older power plants, previously modified to meet 1970 Clean Air Act requirements for particulate control, usually meets these criteria. A pilot study of the process is now in design-construct phase. Testing will start in 1987 and determine conditions under which the technology would be a cost effective approach to meeting emission reduction design criteria  相似文献

Emissions from a 1988 GM Corsica with adaptive learning closed loop control were measured with 4 fuels at 40, 75, and 90° F. Evaporative and exhaust emissions were examined from each fuel at each test temperature. Test fuels were unleaded summer grade gasoline; a blend of this gasoline containing 8.1 percent ethanol; a refiner’s blend stock; and the blend stock containing 16.2 percent methyl tertiary butyl ether. The ethanol and MTBE blends contained 3.0 percent oxygen by weight. Regulated emissions (total hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and oxides of nitrogen), detailed aldehydes, detailed hydrocarbons, ethanol, MTBE, benzene, and 1, 3-butadiene were determined.

The highest levels of regulated emissions were produced at the lower temperature. Blended fuels produced almost twice the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions at high temperatures as did the base fuels. Benzene emissions varied with fuels and operating temperatures, while 1, 3-butadiene emissions decreased slightly with increasing temperatures. Formaldehyde emissions were not sensitive to fuel or temperature changes. Ethanol fuel blend total aldehyde emissions Increased by 40 percent due to increased acetaldehyde emissions.

Fuel blends had approximately a 3 percent economy decrease. The MTBE fuel blend appeared to offer the most reduction in total hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide, and oxides of nitrogen for the fuels and temperatures tested.  相似文献

Tailpipe and evaporative emissions from three pre-1985 passenger motor vehicles operating on an oxygenated blend fuel and on a nonoxygenated base fuel were characterized. Emission data were collected for vehicles operating over the Federal Test Procedure at 40,75, and 90°F to simulate ambient driving conditions. The two fuels tested were a commercial summer grade regular gasoline (the nonoxygenated base fuel) and an oxygenated fuel containing 9.5 percent methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), more olefins, and fewer aromatics than the base fuel. The emissions measured were total hydrocarbons (THCs), speciated hydrocarbons, speciated aldehydes, carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), benzene, and 1,3-butadiene.

This study showed no pattern of tailpipe regulated emission reduction when oxygenated fuel was used. Tailpipe emissions from the 1984 Buick Century without a catalyst and the 1977 Mustang with catalyst decreased with the MTBE fuel. However, emissions from the 1984 Buick Century and the 1980 Chevrolet Citation, both fitted with catalysts increased. The vehicles emitted more 1,3- butadiene and, in general, more NOx when operated with the base fuel.

THC, CO, benzene, and 1,3-butadiene emissions from both fuels and all vehicles, in general, decreased with increasing test temperature, whereas NOx emissions, in general, increased with increasing test temperature. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and total aldehydes also showed a decrease in emissions as test temperature increased. More formaldehyde was emitted when the MTBE fuel was used.

Evaporative, diurnal, and hot soak emissions from the base fuel were greater than those from the MTBE fuel. The evaporated emissions from both fuels increased with increasing test temperatures. Diurnal data indicate that canister conditioning (bringing the evaporative charcoal canister to equilibrium) is required before testing.  相似文献
