Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are complex organic compounds which are identified as significant carcinogenic to human health. PAHs (mainly in particle phase) are susceptible to atmospheric oxidant gases, especially ozone, nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydroxyl radical (OH), and could be degraded on filters during sampling process, leading to an underestimation of ambient PAH concentrations. The goal of this work was to investigate particle associated PAHs sampling artifacts caused by ozone in summer of Beijing. Comparative sampling systems were operated simultaneously during the whole campaign, one with activated carbon ozone denuder, the other being set as conventional sampling system. Activated carbon denuder was testified to be highly efficient to eliminate ozone from air stream. In general, nine particle-bound PAHs observed from conventional sampler were all lower than those from ozone denuder system. The total PAHs (particle phase) concentration was averagely underestimated by 35.9% in conventional sampling procedure. Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) had the highest percentage of mass loss. founded to have influences Ambient temperature was on PAHs sampling artifacts. In developing countries, there is controversy over the correct perception regarding environmental and developmental issues. Few studies have examined the perception of low-income nationals in regards to social and environmental issues. This paper looks at the relationship between socio-demographic factors and the groups’ perceived priority regarding environmental and social issues in Wujin County. The results indicated that most residents, specifically the young, government employed and the urban community consider environmental issues to be serious, especially in relation to air pollution and water pollution. Furthermore, many residents feel it is important to rank environmental problems that are related to other social and economic issues, and that environmental protection must be set as a priority in Wujin County. Compared to social issues, environmental concern was greater among the young, government employed, and the urban community, because of their higher education and affluence. In addition, 66.2% of residents consider environmental protection to be more important than economic development. Thus, environmental protection must be set as a high priority in Wujin County, in order to face the many social and environmental challenges inherent in development. 相似文献

The development of soil crust on sandy land may affect the surface hydrological process. This paper investigates the process
of evaporation and dew deposition influenced by different soil surface types which were dominated by sand, primitive biotic
crust, and advanced biotic crust, respectively, in the south fringe of Mu Us sandy land in Northwest China from July to September
of 2006. The experimental results indicate that the advanced biotic crust could increase evaporation and dew deposition compared
to the primitive biotic crust and bare sand although the differences between them were not significant. The average evaporation
from advanced biotic crust, primitive biotic crust and sand was 6.8, 6.6, and 6.5 mm/d, respectively, and water content is
around 16.2 % in the condition of initially identical soil. The average dew amount on advanced biotic crust was 0.116 mm/d
with extreme 0.05 and 0.24 mm/d. The average values on primitive biotic crust and sand were 0.105 and 0.101 mm/d, respectively,
with extreme 0.04 and 0.21 mm/d for both treatments. Also, the dew deposition on advanced biotic crust seemed stable and might
rest for a longer time than that on primitive biotic crust and sand. The results suggest that the advanced biotic crust possibly

纯碱厂在生产纯碱过程中要排放出大量碱性废液 ,如果利用其作为净化锅炉烟气的脱硫剂 ,不仅减低了脱硫剂费用 ,而且消除了SO2 污染。本文在简单分析旋流板塔式除尘脱硫装置的结构和工作原理的基础上 ,探讨了利用碱性废液进行烟气除尘脱硫的主要影响因素 ,并找出了最佳操作条件。试验结果表明 :利用纯碱厂排放的碱性废液———一次盐泥进行锅炉烟气脱硫可以取得较高的净化效率 ,同时解决了因为碱性废液排放而给周围水域带来的污染。旋流板塔式除尘脱硫装置结构简单 ,脱硫效率高 ,并且运行安全稳定 ,是一项值得推广的技术 相似文献
