In this study, data from two different meteorology stations were analyzed in order to reveal the effects of the urbanization on the soil temperature. These stations are the Ankara Meteorology Station (AMS), showing the urban effects, and the Esenbo?a Meteorology Station (EMS), showing the rural effects. The soil temperatures measured at depths of 5, 10, 20, and 50 cm at 0700, 1400, and 2100 hours between 1960 and 2005 were used in the analysis. Long-term mean monthly temperatures at each depth and at each time considered were calculated and analyzed using Sen’s slope and Mann–Kendall tests. The results showed that the mean monthly urban soil temperatures were generally higher than the rural soil temperatures. The differences between temperatures measured at 5, 10, 20, and 50 cm in urban and rural stations (ΔT s(AMS???EMS)) ranged between 1.8°C and 2.1°C. As in the urban heat islands, the differences between the urban and rural soil temperatures are high at 2100 hours and low at 1400 hours. It was also observed that, due to the increasing number of buildings around the Esenbo?a Station in recent years, the difference between the urban and rural soil temperatures seems to have become smaller. These show that the factors affecting the urban heat islands and those affecting the soil temperatures are similar. Also, the temperature differences were observed to be higher during the warm season than in the cold season. The frequency distributions of the temperature differences (ΔT s(AMS???EMS)) reveal both positive and negative values. However, the positive temperature differences are obviously prevalent. 相似文献

This paper presents data on the concentrations of 5 metals, copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) in Blue Whiting sampled from the Eastern Black Sea coast of Turkey. The highest metal concentrations of Cu, Cd, Fe, Zn and Pb were recorded in Blue Whiting with the values of 2.71, 0.601, 14.137, 15.322 and 1.078 μg g‐1 dry weight, respectively. On average the metal concentrations in Blue Whiting followed the order of Zn > Fe > Cu > Pb > Cd. Temporal differences of concentrations of these metals were significant (p < 0.05). Spatial fluctuations of Cu, Cd, Fe, Zn and Pb concentrations in Blue Whiting were also significant (p < 0.01). It was found that the concentrations of Cu, Cd, Fe, Zn and Pb in the muscle in Blue Whiting were below the limit of Public Health Regulation in Turkey. 相似文献

Waste water pollution of industrial areas can answer for the serious consequences of one of the most important environmental
threats to the future. In this study, inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry method (ICP-AES) is proposed
to determine heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Cd, Cr, Zn, Al, Fe, Ni, Co, Mn) and major elements (Ca, Mg) in waste water of Kocabas Stream.
The concentration of metals in the waste water samples taken from 9 different stations (St.) in Biga-Kocabas Stream in November
2004 (autumn period) were determined after simple pretreatment of samples by the proposed ICP-AES method. An analysis of a
given sample is completed in about 15 min for ICP-AES the method. The results of heavy metals concentrations in waste water

Waste water pollution in industrial areas is one of the most important environmental problems. Heavy metal pollution, especially chromium species in waste water sources from tannery affects our lives. Kocabas Stream is located in south-west Marmara region and Biga town is positioned in the sub basin on the stream. This water source functions as the water for irrigation in agriculture, drinking water for animals and for human use. Thus, this study is of great importance. Waste water pollution can affect all ecosystems and human health by directly or indirectly as in food chain. The concentration of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn and Cr) were pre-analysed by ICP-AES method in water samples taken from sub-basin of Kocabas stream. In the results of these analyses, concentrations of the metals except chromium were founded at the limit value. But the total concentration of the Cr was found at high levels of between 0.0082 +/- 0.0001 and 5.7231 +/- 0.0921 mg l(-1) over the limit value (0.05 mg l(-1); WHO, EPA, TSE 266 and inland water quality classification) at sampling points very close to tannery factories. Also physicochemical and microbiological parameters of Kocabas Stream were determined. The effects of the experimental results on environment were investigated. 相似文献
