通过选取湖南省宁乡市某轻度Cd污染稻田开展连续两季水稻秸秆离田田间试验,研究秸秆离田措施对轻度Cd污染稻田土壤Cd有效性及水稻对Cd吸收累积的影响.结果表明:(1)连续两季秸秆离田有效提高了土壤pH值,降低土壤有机质和根际土壤Cd含量;T1~T4处理使土壤pH值提升0.04~0.58个单位,有机质含量降低了0.68%~25.87%,根际土壤Cd含量降低了3.76%~12.78%.(2)连续两季秸秆离田能降低酸可提取态和可氧化态Cd占比,使残渣态Cd占比上升;同时秸秆离田处理降低了根际土壤Cd的生物有效性,使根际土壤TCLP、 DTPA和CaCl2提取态Cd含量均显著降低.(3)水稻秸秆离田可显著降低土壤孔隙水中DOC和Cd浓度,连续两季秸秆离田处理下(T1~T4)土壤孔隙水中Cd浓度分别降低了4.54%~40.00%和2.75%~67.34%,说明DOC是影响土壤孔隙水中Cd浓度的关键因素之一.(4)连续两季秸秆离田各处理(T1~T4)降低了水稻各部位对Cd的吸收累积,其中秸秆和根系全部离田处理(T4)下,2020年晚稻和2021年早稻糙米Cd含量分别降低了18....  相似文献

Colonies of social insects are sometimes viewed as superorganisms. The birth, reproduction, and death of colonies can be studied with demographic measures analogous to those normally applied to individuals, but two additional questions arise. First, how do adaptive colony demographies arise from individual behaviors? Second, since these superorganisms are made up of genetically distinct individuals, do conflicts within the colony sometimes modify and upset optima for colonies? The interplay between individual and superindividual or colony interests appears to be particularly complex in neotropical, swarm-founding, epiponine wasps such as Parachartergus colobopterus. In a long-term study of this species, we censused 286 nests to study colony-level reproduction and survivorship and evaluated individual-level factors by assessing genetic relatedness and queen production. Colony survivorship followed a negative exponential curve very closely, indicating type II survivorship. This pattern is defined by constant mortality across ages and is more characteristic of birds and other vertebrates than of insects. Individual colonies are long-lived, lasting an average of 347 days, with a maximum of over 4.5 years. The low and constant levels of colony mortality arise in part from colony initiation by swarming, nesting on protected substrates, and an unusual expandable nest structure. The ability to requeen rapidly was also important; relatedness data suggest that colonies requeen on average once every 9–12 months. We studied whether colony optima with respect to the timing of reproduction could be upset by individual worker interests. In this species, colonies are normally polygynous but new queens are produced only after a colony reaches the monogynous state, a result which is in accord with the genetic interests of workers. Therefore colony worker interests might drive colonies to reproduce whenever queen number happens to cycled down to one rather than at the season that is otherwise optimal. However, we found reproduction to be heavily concentrated in the rainy season. The number of new colonies peaked in this season as did the percentages of males and queens. Relatedness among workers reached a seasonal low of 0.21–0.27, reflecting the higher numbers of laying queens. This seasonality was achieved in part by a modest degree of synchrony in the queen reduction cycle. Worker relatedness reached peaks of around 0.4 in the dry season, reflecting a decrease to a harmonic mean queen number of about 2.5. Thus, a significant number of colonies must be approaching monogyny entering the rainy season. Coupled with polygynous colonies rearing only males (split sex ratios), this makes it possible for a colony cycle driven by selfish worker interests to be consistent with concentrating colony reproduction during a favorable season.  相似文献

Application of sulfate-containing amendments is oftensuggested as a mitigation option to reduce methane (CH4) emissionsfrom rice (Oryza) fields. This paper discusses the mechanism andpotential of this mitigation option, reviews the relevant experimental data,and presents first, indicative costs of application. CH4 emission datafor rice fields with sulfate-containing amendments are compiled toreinterpret the resulting reduction in CH4 emission and find a generalrelationship between emission reduction and amount of sulfate applied. Thereduction in CH4 emission depends on the amount of sulfate applied.However, absolute emission reduction is location specific and cannot bederived from the amount of sulfate (SO2- 4) applied only. We established alogarithmic relationship, across locations, between SO2- 4 application andfractional emission reduction relative to the emission of the non-amendedcontrol field. Recycling of SO2- 4 in the rhizosphere was essential to explainthe observed reductions in CH4 emission for a number of theexperiments. The cost of applying SO2- _4-containing fertilizers varies acrosscountries and depends on local fertilizer prices. Since a fractional reductionis obtained, the cost-efficiency in terms of CH4 mitigation per unitof SO2- 4 applied will be highest in high-emitting rice production systems.Provided the proper target areas are selected, the cost of SO2- 4-containingfertilizer as a mitigation option to reduce CH4 emissions in rice fieldsis estimated at 5–10 US dollar per Mg CO2-equivalent.  相似文献

Recent breakthroughs in rice arsenic (As) research demonstrate that As accumulation significantly affects trace nutrients in rice grain. In the present study we analyzed the amino acid (AA) profile of sixteen rice genotypes differing in grain As accumulation, grown at three sites with different soil As concentrations, in ascending order, Chinsurah < Purbosthali < Birnagar. Grain As accumulation negatively correlated with essential amino acids (EAAs) which were more prominent in high As accumulating rice genotypes (HAARGs). Conversely, non-essential amino acids (NEAAs) showed an increase in low As accumulating rice genotypes (LAARGs) but a decrease in HAARGs. EAAs like isoleucine, leucine, valine, phenylalanine, and tyrosine also decreased in most of the genotypes. NEAAs like glutamic acid, glycine, proline, and histidine showed an increase in all LAARGs. Likewise, sulfur containing AAs (methionine and cysteine) increased in LAARGs but decreased in HAARGs. Among NEAAs in HAARGs, only arginine and serine showed some induction in most of the genotypes. At the highest As site (Birnagar) total EAAs and NEAAs show significant reduction in HAARGs compared to LAARGs. The study concluded that As accumulation in rice grain alters EAAs and NEAAs differentially, and reduction was more pronounced in HAARGs than in LAARGs. Thus, As tainted rice limits required levels of AAs in rice based diets and therefore cannot alone fulfill the recommended daily intake (RDI) of AAs.  相似文献

Concerns exist regarding the inadvertent release of engineered nanomaterials into natural systems, and the possible negative ecosystem response that may occur. Understanding sub-lethal effects may be particularly important to determining ecosystem responses as current levels of nanomaterial release are low compared to levels projected for the future. In this work, the sub-lethal effects and bioaccumulation of water stable, nanocrystalline fullerenes as C60, (termed nC60) were studied in Daphnia magna, a globally distributed, parthenogenetic zooplankton. Sub-lethal concentrations were first determined for both mature mother (LD50 = 0.4 mg L−1) and neonate (gestating) daphnids (0.2 mg L−1) in standard 48 h exposure tests. Subsequent experiments focused on the accumulation and effects (at temperatures of 18–28 °C) of nC60, during the D. magna reproductive cycle. The results demonstrate that upon sub-lethal exposure, the mortality rates of gestating daphnids increased with time and developmental stage. The maturation of daughter daphnids was negatively impacted. The mother daphnids were unable to reproduce again after exposure during pregnancy, and differential bioaccumulation occurred as a function of lipid content in the daphnia with the highest accumulation level of 7000 mg kg−1 wet weight. Taken together, these results not only describe the accumulation and sub-lethal effects of nC60 on exposed daphnia, but also highlight the importance of sub-lethal exposure scenarios, which are critical to fully understanding the potential impact of fullerenes and other engineered nanoscale materials on natural systems.  相似文献

Since a considerable amount of fluoride (Fl) intake also takes place through the ingestion of foods that are grown in the contaminated soil and irrigated with elemental contaminated water, this may lead to higher risk from Fl-mediated toxicity. Therefore, in the present study, a systematic delineation and characterization of Fl in agricultural tube wells in Unnao District, India, were carried out to examine seasonal variations of this element using graphical and multivariate statistical approach. The results suggested that different natural hydro-geochemical processes such as weathering of silicates, carbonates, and various ion exchange processes are the key factors responsible for the geochemistry of the groundwater in addition to the alkalinity of water. Of the water sampled, 27.3% and 18.2% were contaminated with Fl exceeding the desirable limit of 1 mg/L as prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standards during pre-monsoon and post-monsoon season. Fluoride displayed a significant positive correlation during both seasons and the water type of the majority of the samples in both seasons was bicarbonate.  相似文献

The mobility of the rice pesticides thiobencarb (S-[(4-chlorophenyl) methyl] diethylcarbamothioate) and fipronil ([5-amino-3-cyano-1-[2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4-[(trifluoromethyl)sulfinyl]pyrazole) were investigated in the glasshouse under flooded conditions using two Australian rice-growing soils. When using leakage rates of 10 mm day?1, less than 20% of applied thiobencarb and fipronil remained in the water column after 10 days due to rapid transfer to the soil phase. Up to 70% and 65% of the applied thiobencarb and fipronil, respectively, were recovered from the 0–1 cm layer of soils. Only 5–7% of each pesticide was recovered from the 1–2 cm layer, and less than 2% was recovered from each 1 cm layer in the 2–10 cm region of the soils. Analysis of the water leaking from the base of the soil cores showed between 5–10% of the applied thiobencarb and between 10–20% of the applied fipronil leaching from the soil cores. The high levels of pesticide in the effluent was attributed to preferential flow of pesticide-laden water via soil macropores resulting from the wetting and drying process, worm holes and root channels.  相似文献

Despite coastal mudflats serving as essential ecological zones interconnecting terrestrial/freshwater and marine systems, little is known about the profiles of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in this area. In this study, characteristics of typical ARGs, involving both intracellular (iARGs) and extracellular ARGs (eARGs) at different physical states, were explored in over 1000 km of coastal mudflats in Eastern China. Results indicated the presence of iARGs and eARGs at states of both freely present or attached by particles. The abundance of eARGs was significantly higher than that of iARGs (87.3% vs 12.7%), and their dominance was more significant than those in other habitats (52.7%-76.3%). ARG abundance, especially for eARGs, showed an increasing trend (p < 0.05) from southern (Nantong) to northern (Lianyungang) coastal mudflats. Higher salinity facilitated the transformation from iARGs to eARGs, and smaller soil particle size was conducive to the persistence of eARGs in northern coastal mudflats. This study addresses the neglected function of coastal mudflats as eARGs reservoirs.  相似文献

The Seasonally Integrated Flux (SIF) of N2O emission during pulse cultivation in Rabi season (Season-I: December to April) in rain-fed uplands of Orissa, was found to be 17.7 ± 0.07, 18.7 ± 0.16 and 43.3 ± 0.14 gha?1 for horse gram (HG), black gram (BG) and green gram (GG) respectively. During the subsequent Rabi season (Season-II), the SIF of N2O for BG and GG cultivated in the same fields were 20.9 ± 0.24 and 38.0 ± 0.42 gha?1 respectively. Similarly SIF values during rice cultivation with different cultivars have also been calculated to be in the range ?20.05 ± 0.33 to 21.98 ± 0.29. Statistical analysis showed good correlation of N2O emission with climatic and soil parameters like temperature, nutrient N and organic matter in soil during pulse cultivation. Multivariate analysis was carried out to factorize the results obtained. Using student ‘t’ test, the N2O emission was observed to be similar for two consecutive Rabi seasons for pulses like BG and GG.  相似文献
