During the last two years an extensive series of dioxin measurements has been conducted on Danish municipal and hospital solid waste incinerators. The study was directed toward finding the total annual dioxin emissions from MSWI in Denmark, now estimated to be 3 kg. of dioxines and furanes. This sum is equivalent to 50 g. of 2,3,7,8-TCDD according to the Nordic Equivalents. Measurements were carried out according to a statistical design following a plan of pre-randomized sampling. This procedure allowed causal interpretation of the correlations found between the dioxin emissions and certain operating parameters. The statistical model obtained describes the emissions by variations between incinerators, by variation in time, and by changes in the load, the excess air and the HCl concentration in the flue gas.  相似文献

Biogenic hydrogen sulfide is an odorous, toxic and corrosive gas released from sewage in sewers. To control sulfide generation and emission, nitrate is extensively applied in sewer systems for decades. However, the unexpected sulfide rebound after nitrate addition is being questioned in recent studies. Possible reasons for the sulfide rebounds have been studied, but the mechanism is still unclear, so the countermeasure is not yet proposed. In this study, a lab-scale sewer system was developed for investigating the unexpected sulfide rebounds via the traditional strategy of nitrate addition during 195-days of operation. It was observed that the sulfide pollution was even severe in a sewer receiving nitrate addition. The mechanism for the sulfide rebound can be differentiated into short-term and long-term effects based on the dominant contribution. The accumulation of intermediate elemental sulfur in biofilm resulted in a rapid sulfide rebound via the high-rate sulfur reduction after the depletion of nitrate in a short period. The presence of nitrate in sewer promoted the microorganism proliferation in biofilm, increased the biofilm thickness, re-shaped the microbial community and enhanced biological denitrification and sulfur production, which further weakened the effect of nitrate on sulfide control during the long-term operation. An optimized biofilm-initiated sewer process model demonstrated that neither the intermittent nitrate addition nor the continuous nitrate addition was a sustainable strategy for the sulfide control. To minimize the negative impact from sulfide rebounds, a (bi)monthly routine maintenance (e.g., hydraulic flushing with nitrate spike) to remove the proliferative microorganism in biofilm is necessary.  相似文献

对用亚甲基蓝分光光度法测定大气中硫化氢的标准溶液、样品的稳定性、温度对试剂空白的影响等问题进行了一些研究。得出:硫化氢标准使用液用磁性锌氨络盐吸收液配制,冰箱保存至少可稳定2个月;温度对试剂空白值有影响,应根据不同显色温度,确定不同显色时间;绘制标准曲线和样品测定应用同一量器迅速加入显色剂,以提高其灵敏度。  相似文献

通过铂颗粒吸附法制备得到Pt/CeO2催化剂应用于臭氧催化氧化甲苯反应,研究了Pt颗粒负载对CeO2臭氧催化氧化甲苯的增强作用.采用氢气程序升温还原(H2-TPR)、氧气程序升温脱附(O2-TPD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)和拉曼光谱(Raman)等手段对催化剂进行表征,结果显示,CeO2负载Pt颗粒后,Pt与CeO2存在相互作用,提高了CeO2上氧空位的含量.臭氧分解实验证实了Pt/CeO2催化剂具有更好的臭氧分解性能.臭氧催化氧化甲苯评价结果表明,Pt/CeO2具有比CeO2更优异的催化性能,在80 ℃时甲苯降解率、CO2产率和臭氧分解率分别达到92.3%、92.1%和99.9%.原位拉曼进一步研究了臭氧分解生成的氧物种种类及含量,以及甲苯存在时氧物种的变化,结果表明,臭氧在氧空位上分解产生的过氧物种较为稳定,是氧化甲苯的重要活性物质.因此,Pt颗粒负载在CeO2上能增强臭氧在催化剂上分解,并形成更多过氧物种,最终提升臭氧催化氧化甲苯的性能.  相似文献

A novel mitigation system against hydrogen-air deflagrations in nuclear power plant buildings is proposed and developed through a series of field experiments using explosion vessels of different volume sizes. The mitigation system is installed on the outer surface of the vessels, and it comprises flame arrester and explosion air bag. The flame arrester is made by stacking 10–20 sheets of fine-mesh wire screens, and the air bag is connected for holding explosion gas. The successful mitigation mechanism is the sequence of pressure-rise reduction by the air bag expansion, flame quenching by the flame arrester, and the slow burning of the gas mixture sucked from the air bag back into the vessel due to the negative pressure caused by the rapid condensation of water vapor inside the vessel. Necessary conditions for the successful mitigation system are discussed, and the practical unit size of flame arrester sheet is recommended.  相似文献

Incidents involving uncontrolled chemical reactions continue to result in fatality, injury and economic loss. These incidents are often the result of inadequate pressure relief system designs due to a limited knowledge of the chemical reactivity hazard. A safe process design requires knowledge of the chemical reactivity of desired as well as undesired chemical reactions due to upset conditions. Simplified, cost effective methods to relief system sizing are presented by The Design Institute of Emergency Relief Systems (DIERS). They require multiple experiments, and sizing is only valid for the system composition and thermal inertia represented by the small scale experiments. Results are often conservative, especially for gassy systems. Detailed, dynamic computer simulation is highly accurate and can be used for iterative design and multiple scenario evaluation.In this study, an accelerating rate calorimeter (ARC®) and a low thermal inertia calorimeter (automatic pressure tracking adiabatic calorimeter – APTAC™) were used to collect chemical reactivity data for the dicumyl peroxide and toluene system. Results of the pressure relief system sizing using the dynamic simulation method are presented and compared with DIERS simplified methods.  相似文献

通过实验室装置将城市污水厂剩余污泥厌氧消化后进行双氧水溶胞脱水处理,分析组合工艺对污泥脱水性能的改善效果,并探索双氧水调理厌氧消化污泥的最佳反应条件,考察脱水滤液回流与剩余污泥共同厌氧消化对滤液的处理效果,并对组合工艺的产、耗能进行了分析。试验结果表明:厌氧消化污泥在双氧水调理下脱水性能显著改善,厌氧消化过程能减少双氧水用量;双氧水调理厌氧消化污泥的最佳反应条件为:双氧水投加量0.106 m L/g(以干污泥计),p H=3,调理时间60 min,调理温度为常温;污泥溶胞脱水滤液回流处理效果良好,且对污泥厌氧消化过程无明显不良影响;厌氧消化产能不仅能够维持自身反应,还有富余能量供出。  相似文献

PEM water electrolysis is one of the most efficient methods for the production of hydrogen because of produced high purity of the gases and environmentally friendly. In the present study, Phosphorus-doped Graphene (PG) was synthesized by thermal annealing of triphenylphosphine (TPP) and graphene oxide (GO). The PG supported palladium (Pd/PG) electrocatalysts were synthesized by chemical reduction method and used as the cathode for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrode. Structural properties and electrochemical performances of the synthesized Pd/PG electrocatalyst were studied by FE-SEM, EDS, ICP, FT-IR, XRD, and Cyclic voltammetry (CV) methods, respectively. The membrane electrode assemblies (MEA’s) were fabricated using Pd/PG as cathode for HER electrode and RuO2 as anode for OER electrode. Also, their electrochemical performances along with the corresponding hydrogen yields were evaluated in single cell PEM water electrolyzer at various experimental conditions such as different current densities from 0.1 to 2.0 A cm?2 and temperatures (28–80°C). The synthesized Pd/PG electrocatalyst was observed a current density of 1 A cm?2 with 1.95 V at 80°C. Further, long-term stability studies were carried out continuously up to 2000 h which showed a reasonable stability. Hence, the synthesized Pd/PG can be used as an alternative to Pt-based electrocatalysts for the HER in PEM water electrolysis.  相似文献
