Sustainable business model innovation debate is mostly focusing on the use of certain practices and tools to implement sustainable objectives in new firms. Our paper contributes to this debate examining the factors influencing the entrepreneur's election of the practices to develop sustainable business model innovation (SBMI). We conducted an empirical analysis on a population of Spanish entrepreneurs (N = 234) and applied a sound behavioral framework and the PLS‐SEM algorithms to factor out those elements. On the basis of this analysis, we argue that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habit, costs, speed, funding, and security and behavioral intention might affect the entrepreneurial acceptance of the practices leading to SBMI. We also argue that the knowledge of these factors benefit incubators, mentors, and agencies balance them into their support to sustainable business development. Our analyses open a novel research line by studying those factors influencing entrepreneurial use of sustainable innovation practices and facilitating future development of full‐scale models explaining this usage. 相似文献

Institutional pressures (IP) have a strong effect on organizational strategies and decision making. IP in terms of coercive, mimetic, and normative forces have a direct effect on organizations to develop environmentally friendly business strategies (EFBS) and improve environmental performance (EP). The aim of this study is to examine the effect of IP on EP. Moreover, the mediating role of EFBS in the relationship between IP and EP has also been tested. Results reveal that IP significantly and positively affect EFBS. Moreover, the relationship between EFBS and EP is also significantly positive. However, the direct relationship between IP and EP is weak. The results of the study also confirm that EFBS mediate the relationship between IP and EP. These findings suggest that managers should develop green strategies for the improvement of environmental performance. This study not only offers the empirical evidence to validate the findings of past researchers but also provides insight how IP flourish the mechanism of environmentally friendly business strategies. Furthermore, this study highlighted some interesting facts that should be meaningful options for managers to enhance the environmental performance. 相似文献

Aims. The aim of this study was to examine self-perceived compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction among family physicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina and describe potential contributing factors. Methods. The cross-sectional study enrolled 120 family physicians. Professional quality of life compassion satisfaction and fatigue version 5 (ProQOL5) was used to assess compassion satisfaction and two components of compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress and burnout. The symptoms of chronic fatigue were evaluated using the Chalder fatigue scale. Results. The majority of family physicians had moderate levels of compassion satisfaction (70%), burnout (75%) and secondary traumatic stress (55.8%). Family physicians with higher levels of secondary traumatic stress reported chronic fatigue (p?=?0.001), longer length of service (p?=?0.024) and residency training (p?=?0.041). Chronic fatigue (p?=?0.001), living in a rural environment (p?=?0.033), larger size of practice (p?=?0.006) and high number of patients with chronic disease (p?=?0.001) were associated with a higher risk of burnout. Conclusion. Family physicians with large practices, long years of experience, a high number of chronically ill patients and experiencing chronic fatigue are at risk of developing compassion fatigue. A systematic exploration of compassion fatigue in relation to working conditions might provide an appropriate starting point for the development of preventive interventions. 相似文献

Drawing on stakeholder and socioemotional wealth theories, we empirically examine the influence of corporate social responsibility performance on investment efficiency in family‐controlled businesses versus non‐family‐controlled businesses. Our panel dataset consists of 190 Pakistani firms listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange over the period of 2007–2016. We use feasible generalized least square regression for model estimation. Our results suggest that firms with higher corporate social responsibility performance invest efficiently compared with firms with lower corporate social responsibility performance. Furthermore, the impact of corporate social responsibility performance on investment efficiency is higher in the family firms. The results suggest that family‐controlled businesses are more willing to engage in social responsibility activities to achieve their non‐economic goals, i.e. family image and trans‐generational control. Overall, our results indicate that corporate social responsibility is beneficial for the organization, and its implication is more fruitful in the context of family‐controlled businesses. 相似文献

Information communication technologies (ICTs; e.g., smartphones) enable employees to work anywhere and anytime, blurring work and family boundaries. Building on this trend, this study draws from work–family border/boundary theory to examine antecedents and consequences of employees' weekly experiences of ICT demands (i.e., being accessible and contacted for work after hours via ICTs). A sample of 546 elementary teachers completed a registration survey and a weekly diary for 5 weeks. Multilevel modeling results suggest that ICT demands as a form of work intrusion in the home can constitute a source of significant weekly strain (i.e., negative rumination, negative affect, and insomnia). As border crossers, teachers' adoption of a technological boundary tactic (i.e., keeping work email alerts turned off on mobile phones) was related to lower weekly ICT demands. As important border keepers at work, school principals' work–family support was related to teachers' lower weekly ICT demands, whereas parents' after-hours boundary expectations were related to teachers' higher weekly ICT demands. Moreover, teachers' boundary control was found as a mediating mechanism by which the two border keepers influenced teachers' ICT demands−negative rumination link. That is, teachers who received fewer boundary expectations and/or more work–family support had greater boundary control, which in turn buffered the ICT demands–negative rumination relationship. 相似文献

This study aims to shed light on the elements that can influence the performance of green businesses, more specifically organizations active within the recycling business. After defining and identifying green businesses, the paper focuses on the Italian recycling business, examining whether the green practices and features of a green business can influence the organization's performance. Using a quantitative methodology with a sample of 87 Italian organizations whose core business is recycling and applying a model of multiple linear regression, the findings highlight several variables that affect the economic results. The originality of this study lies in the link between green practices and green businesses, exploring which structures are efficient and are driving elements of these recycling organizations. This paper presents a new perspective on the reuse businesses of independent reuse business companies (IRBCs) in Japan. A majority of previous studies on reuse and remanufacturing have focused on the businesses of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). During the past twenty years, however, in Japan, IRBCs have grown rapidly, especially those that launched new types of secondhand shops. The author proposes that the reuse businesses of IRBCs can provide useful information for academics, OEMs, and policy makers. A key finding is the strategies developed by IRBCs to ensure the volume of used products collected and to stimulate demand for used products. This paper compares the features of IRBC reuse businesses with those of OEMs, and discussed the results and implications of an interview survey with select IRBCs. 相似文献
