On the optimal control of carbon dioxide emissions: an application of FUND   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
This paper presents the Climate Framework for Uncertainty, Negotiation and Distribution (FUND), an integrated assessment model of climate change, and discusses selected results. FUND is a nine‐region model of the world economy and its interactions with climate, running in time steps of one year from 1990 to 2200. The model consists of scenarios for economy and population, which are perturbed by climate change and greenhouse gas emission reduction policy. Each region optimizes its net present welfare. Policy variables are energy and carbon efficiency improvement, and sequestering carbon dioxide in forests. It is found that reducing conventional air pollution is a major reason to abate carbon dioxide emissions. Climate change is an additional reason to abate emissions. Reducing and changing energy use is preferred as an option over sequestering carbon. Under non‐cooperation, free riding as well as assurance behaviour is observed in the model. The scope for joint implementation is limited. Under cooperation, optimal emission abatement is (slightly) higher than under non‐cooperation, but the global coalition is not self‐enforcing while side payments are insufficient. Optimal emission control under non‐cooperation is less than currently discussed under the Framework Convention on Climate Change, but higher than observed in practice. An extensive investigation is in progress aiming at the characterisation of the air particulate composition in Florence. For our investigation, we use the external PIXE-PIGE beam facility of the I.N.F.N. Van de Graaff accelerator at the Physics Department of the Florence University. In order to gather information on both the longer- and shorter-time trends of the aerosol elemental composition, we are analysing both long temporal series (about 1 year) of 24-h Millipore filters collected by the health authorities in 3 different sites, and filters collected simultaneously in two of the above sites for about one month, by two streakers with one-hour resolution, providing size fractionation between particle size smaller than 2.5 µm and from 2.5 µm to 10 µm. The streakers sampling period includes two days during which the Municipality of Florence has banned the circulation of non-catalytic cars, due to the increase of NO2 above the "recommended safety values". We present here the first obtained results for the sampling site located near a heavy traffic road.  相似文献

The expansion of the industrial economy and the increase of population in Northeast Asian countries have caused much interestin climate monitoring related to global warming. However, new techniques and better platforms for the measurement of globalwarming and regional databases are still old-fashioned and arenot being developed sufficiently. With respect to this agenda,since 1993, at the request of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), to monitor functions of global warming, theKorea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has set up a Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Station on the western coast of Korea(Anmyun-do) and has been actively monitoring global warming overNortheast Asia. In addition, atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) has been measured for a similar KMA global warmingprogram at Kosan, Cheju Island since 1990. Aerosol and radiationhave also been measured at both sites as well as in Seoul. Theobservations have been analyzed using diagnostics of climate change in Northeast Asia and also have been internationally compared. Results indicate that greenhouse gases are in good statistic agreement with the NOAA/Climate Monitoring and Diagnostics Laboratory (CMDL) long-term trends of monthly meanconcentrations and seasonal cycles. Atmospheric particulatematter has also been analyzed for particular Asian types interms of optical depth, number concentration and size distribution.  相似文献

深圳市城区大气颗粒物及主要水溶性无机离子的污染特征   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
基于2015年深圳市大气颗粒物和主要水溶性无机离子的观测数据,深入分析了大气颗粒物的浓度变化及二次污染特征.结果表明2015年深圳的大气颗粒物(PM10、PM2.5、PM1)浓度虽然低,但其中细粒子占比高,PM2.5/PM10的比值高达0.744,甚至大于广州典型灰霾过程中的粗细粒子比.大气颗粒物浓度季节变化明显,秋冬高,春夏低.其日变化特征明显受到交通高峰的影响,汽车尾气可能是污染来源之一.SO42-、NO3-和NH4+(SNA)质量浓度在PM2.5中的占比超过1/3(37.7%),且全年硫转化率都大于0.1,这说明深圳市细颗粒物主要来自于二次转化.深圳大气颗粒物浓度受气象要素影响显著,与气压正相关,与气温、相对湿度、降水及风速负相关;若将风速、气温、气压、相对湿度和降水作为一个整体考虑,这些气象要素对深圳大气颗粒物浓度的影响大小是PM1 > PM10 > PM2.5.本工作不仅对深圳的大气环境管理和经济可持续发展有着重要参考价值,还对空气相对清洁地区的大气颗粒物和霾治理具有指导意义.  相似文献

2017年10月、12月在宝鸡市城区开展了共29d的挥发性有机物(VOCs)浓度在线监测,共测出102种VOCs,分别采用最大增量反应活性(MIR)系数法和气溶胶生成系数(FAC)法估算了宝鸡市各VOCs组分的臭氧生成潜势(OFPs)和二次有机气溶胶生成潜势(SOAFPs),筛选出生成O3与SOA活性最大的VOCs成分.结果表明:宝鸡市秋季和冬季TVOC的浓度分别为(68.62±21.85)×10-9和(42.44±16.62)×10-9,总OFPs分别为185.49×10-9和126.00×10-9,总SOAFPs分别为3.26,0.65μg/m3.秋季VOCs中含量最多的2种组分为烷烃(21.83×10-9)和芳香烃(13.37×10-9),分别占TVOC的31.82%和19.49%,乙烯、反-2-戊烯和甲苯是OFPs最大的3个成分,甲苯、间/对二甲苯和乙苯是SOAFPs最大的3个成分.而在冬季,烷烃(17.34×10-9)和炔烃(8.81×10-9)是VOCs中含量最多的2种组分,分别占TVOC的40.85%和20.75%,乙烯、丙烯、乙炔是OFPs最大的3个成分,甲苯、间/对二甲苯、乙苯是SOAFPs最大的3个成分.优先减少烯烃和芳香烃的排放是宝鸡市秋冬季抑制O3和SOA的形成的有效途径.  相似文献

为探究当前空气质量持续改善背景下重污染地区大气PM2.5和水溶性无机离子(WSⅡs)的污染特征和季节变化,于2019年在太原市采集了四季PM2.5样品.结果表明,2019年太原市PM2.5年均质量浓度为(65.50±30.44)μg·m-3,水溶性离子浓度的季节特征为:冬季(39.81 μg·m-3) > 秋季(33.05 μg·m-3) > 春季(20.50 μg·m-3) > 夏季(19.62 μg·m-3).WSⅡs以二次离子SNA为主,占总离子浓度的76.90%±10.51%,且随着PM2.5污染加重,SNA的比重显著升高.其中,SO42-和NO3-在秋、冬季的浓度最高,这与气态污染物排放增加和二次转化程度的升高(硫氧化率SOR>0.30,氮氧化率NOR>0.10)有关;NH4+、Cl-和K+在冬季的浓度最高,是其他季节的1.2~7.9倍,可能归因于冬季燃煤和生物质燃烧活动的增加;由于春季风速较高,受土壤扬尘的影响,Ca2+和Mg2+的比重在春季显著增加为20.2%.春季和夏季为贫氨状态,而秋、冬季为富氨状态,且硝酸盐颗粒物在高湿度条件下的吸湿增长比硫酸盐更为显著.太原市大气PM2.5中水溶性离子主要来源于二次生成、燃煤、生物质燃烧和土壤扬尘.  相似文献

介绍了一种用于气溶胶生成机制研究的流管反应器(Jiao-FTR,J-FTR)的设计及表征.借助计算流体力学(CFD)模拟和实验测定,表征了不同进气结构和实验条件下反应器内流场的发展及稳定,移动进气管的喷射效应以及气体和颗粒物在反应器内的平均停留时间.结果表明,预混合段进气方式,主流流量,移动进气管结构及注入流量对J-FTR的流场发展以及气体和颗粒物的停留时间具有较大影响;J-FTR的预混合进气段具有使主流快速过渡为层流的优势,在对称进气条件下,当主流流量不超过8L/min,气流在进入主反应段之前可发展为稳定的层流;当移动进气管使用大内径的直管或径面十字型结构时,可以有效减小或避免移动进气管的喷射效应.以上结果不仅可为使用J-FTR开展大气化学和气溶胶生成机制研究提供重要的实验指导,也可为其他研究者设计FTR,进行流管实验提供借鉴.  相似文献

This study estimates the contribution from the open burning of municipal wastes in some of Nigeria's major cities to atmospheric levels of air pollutants. Information obtained on open burning emission factors and municipal solid waste (MSW) generation estimates was combined to estimate annual levels of the pollutants from the open burning of MSW. Per capita distributions of pollutants were calculated on the basis of cities’ populations. The estimates of inorganic emissions across the cities studied were from 913.73 to 81,600 tons per year (TPY) of particulate matter; 4,797 to 428,400 TPY of oxides of nitrogen; 342.65 to 30,600; and 57 to 5,100 TPY of sulfur dioxide, while the estimates for methane ranged from 742 to 66,300 TPY and for other nonmethane organic compounds ranged from 1,713 to 153,000 TPY. Given the composition of MSW in these cities, the nonmethane organic compounds are likely to be composed of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds. Given the wide varieties of both inorganic and organic air pollutants released during the open burning of MSW and the associated human health and environmental impacts, it is high time that stakeholders at all levels of government came up with policies and regulatory measures for the management of MSW in the country.  相似文献

In order to evaluate the secondary aerosol formation potential at a suburban site of Beijing,in situ perturbation experiments in a potential aerosol mass(PAM) reactor were carried out in the winter of 2014.The variations of secondary aerosol formation as a function of time,OH exposure,and the concentrations of gas phase pollutants and particles were reported in this study.Two periods with distinct secondary aerosol formation potentials,marked as Period Ⅰ and Period Ⅱ,were identified during the observation.In Period Ⅰ,the secondary aerosol formation potential was high,and correlated well to the air pollutants,i.e.,SO_2,NO_2,and CO.The maximal secondary aerosol formation was observed with an aging time equivalent to about 3 days of atmospheric oxidation.In period Ⅱ,the secondary aerosol formation potential was low,with no obvious correlation with the air pollutants.Meanwhile,the aerosol mass decreased,instead of showing a peak,with increasing aging time.Backward trajectory analysis during the two periods confirmed that the air mass in Period Ⅰwas mainly from local sources,while it was attributed mostly to long distance transport in Period Ⅱ.The air lost its reactivity during the long transport and the particles became highly aged,resulting in a low secondary aerosol formation potential.Our experimental results indicated that the in situ measurement of the secondary aerosol formation potential could provide important information for evaluating the contributions of local emission and long distance transport to the aerosol pollution.  相似文献
