Biosorption potential of green macroalgae Cladophora sp., (GAC) for the removal of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) and malachite green (MG) from aqueous medium was investigated. Optimal conditions for biosorption experiments were determined as a function of initial pH, GAC dosage, temperature and initial concentration of Cr(VI) and MG. The biosorption equilibrium data were fitted with the isotherm models of Langmuir, Freundlich, Kiselev, Frumkin and Jovanovic, while the experimental data were analysed using the kinetic models such as pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, Ritchie's and intraparticle diffusion. The Langmuir maximum biosorption capacity was calculated as 100.00?mg/g (Cr(VI)) and 142.85?mg/g (MG). The biosorption kinetic data showed better agreement with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The thermodynamic parameters indicated spontaneous and endothermic nature of the biosorption process for Cr(VI) removal, whereas exothermic in the case of MG removal. Furthermore, the biosorption efficiencies of the GAC reusability were found significant up to five cycles and tested using 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0?M HCl, respectively. (R)-1-Phenyl-1,2-ethanediol [(R)-PED] is an important chiral intermediate used to synthesize pharmaceutical intermediates. The production of (R)-PED is of great practical significance. A novel bacterial strain HBU-SI7 isolated from soil samples was screened using a-hydroxyacetophenone (2-HAP) as substrate, which is capable of enantioselective reduction of 2-HAP to (R)-PED. HBU-SI7 was identified as Rhodococcus sp. by bacterial morphological observation and 16S rDNA analysis. The analysis of whole-cell catalytic system showed that the bioconversion of 2-HAP reached 96.2% in the two-phase reaction system (dibutyl phthalate/phosphate buffer = 1/3, V/V) with the substrate concentration of 3.0 g/L, and 99.3% of e.e. for (R)-PED was achieved. A new enantio selective reduction system with the whole cells of Rhodococcus sp. was established for efficient production of (R)-PED, which has potential research and application values. © 2018 Science Press. Tetracycline is widely used in livestock and poultry breeding industry, which can cause serious problems to the environment. Antibiotic pollution has become an important environmental issue. This study aimed to isolate and identify a well-functioning tetracycline-degrading bacteria strain from activated sludge and to investigate its optimum degradation conditions. The strain was identified through morphological features, Gram staining, and the sequence analysis of 16S rRNA. Furthermore, the temperature, initial pH of the medium, inoculation amount, and type of metallic salt were analyzed to investigate the tetracycline degradation performance of the isolated strain. Based on the single factor test, the method of response surface analysis was adopted to optimize the degradation condition. The strain was named TTC-1 and identified as Klebsiella pneumoniae. The optimum condition for tetracycline degradation was determined as follows: temperature of 34.4 °C, pH of 7.22, and MnSO4 concentration of 0.32 g/L. Under this optimum condition, the predicted tetracycline degradation rate was 93.77%, whereas the observed value was 94.26%. The experimental results showed that the proposed model had high accuracy. TTC-1 showed a good performance in degrading tetracycline, which can provide reference for the bacteria during the biological treatment of tetracycline containing wastewater. © 2018 Science Press. 从被二硝基甲苯(DNT)和三硝基甲苯(TNT)污染的土壤中分离到5个高效降解硝基芳香烃类化合物的菌株TD1、TD2、TD3、TD4和TD5。16S rDNA序列分析表明,TD1、TD2、TD3和TD4属于节杆菌属(Arthrobacter),TD5属于不动杆菌属(Acinetobacter)。菌株复配试验表明,TD1、TD2、TD3、TD4和TD5的体积比例为2:2:2:1:1时对含有DNT和TNT的炸药废水的CODC r去除率最好。最佳复配的菌液投加到装有合适填料载体的生物反应器中用于处理炸药废水,运行47d后出水CODC r不超过200 mg/L,硝基苯类化合物的浓度在2 mg/L以下。 相似文献

微生物与污染物接触是生物降解的第一步,为进一步了解降解过程中有机污染物对降解菌的影响,通过对不同条件下鞘氨醇单胞菌GY2B(Sphingomonas sp.GY2B)降解菲的研究,并结合Propidium Iodide(PI)染料和流式细胞仪分析不同底物及污染物浓度对GY2B菌体细胞表面性质的影响.结果表明,随着菲的降解,PI染色的GY2B菌株细胞增多,说明细菌膜结构受到一定的破坏,通透性不断增强.污染物浓度越高,降解菌的膜完整性的破坏越为严重.60 h时,300 mg·L-1浓度条件下,染色细胞/未被染色细胞的比值可达12.44,而在100 mg·L-1和1.2 mg·L-1浓度条件下,比值分别为1.95和1.11.同时降解过程中细菌细胞的傅里叶红外光谱检测,死亡、受损和完整细胞的区分以及Zeta电位分析也进一步验证了细菌细胞表面性质的改变.利用流式细胞术与染料结合分析降解过程中细菌细胞膜完整性的变化,从单细胞水平上了解细菌降解污染物过程中其细胞表面性质的改变,有助于更好地研究GY2B对菲的降解机制. 相似文献

利用具有降解己烯雌酚(diethylstilbestrol,DES)特性的功能微生物来降解DES、有望实现环境中DES的有效去除,然而迄今关于降解DES的功能菌株及其降解特性的报道很少.本研究通过选择性富集培养,从某污水处理站活性污泥中分离获得1株具有DES降解特性的细菌(菌株S).经形态观察、生理生化试验及16S rDNA序列同源性分析将菌株S鉴定为沙雷氏菌属(Serratia sp.)细菌.菌株S好氧生长,30℃、150 r·min-1摇床培养7 d后,对无机盐培养基中DES(50 mg·L-1)的降解率达68.3%.通过摇瓶实验,优化了菌株S生长和降解DES的最适环境条件:温度30℃,底物浓度40~60 mg·L-1,pH 7.0,接种量5%,盐添加量0 g·L-1,装液量10 mL(100 mL三角瓶). 相似文献

In an effort to identify a bio-agent capable of controlling cyanobacterial blooms, we isolated a bacterial strain, A27, which exhibited strong algicidal activity against the dominant bloom-forming species of Microcystis aeruginosa in Lake Taihu. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, this strain belongs to the genus Exiguobacterium. This is the first report of an algicidal bacterial strain belonging to the genus Exiguobacterium. Strain A27 exhibited algicidal activity against a broad range of cyanobacteria, but elicited little or no algicidal activity against the two green algal strains tested. The algicidal activity of strain A27 was shown to be dependent on the density of the bacteria and to have a threshold density of 1.5× 106 CFU/mL. Our data also showed that the algicidal activity of strain A27 depended on different growth stages of Microcystis aeruginosa (exponential ≈ lag phase > early stationary) rather than that of the bacterium itself. Our results also suggested the algicidal activity of strain A27 occurred via the production of extracellular algicidal compounds. Investigation of the algicidal compounds revealed that there were at least two different algicidal compounds produced by strain A27. These results indicated that strain A27 has great potential for use in the control of outbreaks of cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Taihu. 相似文献

从胶州湾海底沉积物中筛选出1株高效的海洋异养硝化-好氧反硝化细菌y3,经形态学观察、生理生化实验和16S rRNA基因序列分析,确定该菌株为假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas sp.).对其在实际含氮海水中的脱氮实验结果表明,菌株y3的最佳碳源为柠檬酸三钠,最适p H为7.0,最适C/N为13;菌株均能以NH4Cl、Na NO_2和KNO_3为唯一氮源进行反应,20 h后其去除率分别为98.69%、78.38%和72.95%,在硝化过程中几乎没有亚硝酸盐和硝酸盐的积累.以不同比例混合两种氮源反应20 h,当NO~-_3-N∶NO~-_2-N分别为2∶1、1∶1和1∶2时,脱氮率分别为99.56%、99.75%和99.41%;当NH~+_4-N∶NO~-_3-N分别为2∶1、1∶1、1∶2时,脱氮率均为100%;当NH~+_4-N∶NO~-_2-N分别为2∶1、1∶1、1∶2时,脱氮率分别为90.43%、92.79%和99.96%,多高于单一氮源的情况.该菌株具有较好的高盐废水脱氮处理效能. 相似文献
