南京地区滑坡与崩塌特征分析及地震可能引起的崩塌危险区预测

对南京地区已发生的滑坡与崩塌区进行调查。用园弧法计算滑坡前的安全系数在考虑在地震力作用下,用静力法对边坡稳定性作定量分析。以期对本区地震滑坡与崩塌危险区作出预测。

畜禽养殖业环境污染问题越来越引起了人们的关注．本文概述了我国畜禽养殖业中存在的环境污染问题并从保护生态环境角度出发，提出了利用现代微生物工程应用技术和常规的处理方法相结合的治理措施。     

Evidence of obligate female promiscuity in a socially monogamous passerine

Extrapair paternity in birds has been the focus of an increasing number of studies over the last decades. Nevertheless, there is little knowledge about extrapair copulation (EPC) behavior. In this study, we investigate whether female bluethroats (Luscinia s. svecica) with no extrapair offspring (EPO) in their broods really have been sexually monogamous or if they have copulated with extrapair males. We used an experimental approach to prevent transfer of sperm from the social male during copulation by fitting a rubber tube around the cloaca of randomly chosen males. If the females mated to these males do not participate in EPCs, they will produce infertile eggs, whereas females that copulate with extrapair males will only produce EPO. We found that 87% (n=15) of the experimental pairs compared to only 36% (n=51) of unmanipulated pairs produced EPO. Our result therefore suggests that females having no EPO may still have copulated with extrapair males and that promiscuity may be an obligate sexual strategy among bluethroat females.Communicated by S. Degradation of the herbicide imazapyr by Fenton reactions

The degradation of the herbicide imazapyr has been carried out by three advanced oxidation processes involving iron ions as catalysts: Fentons reagent, photo-Fenton and electro-Fenton. We show that all processes are rapid and efficient. The kinetic rate constant was found to be k=5.4×10⁹ M^–1 s^–1. The mineralization of imazapyr is almost complete using the photo-Fenton and electro-Fenton processes.     

Ultrastructural and chemical characterization of egg surface of honeybee worker and queen-laid eggs

Summary. Worker policing in honeybees predicts the evolution of a mechanism to discriminate between queenand worker-born eggs. Although it has been postulated that this discrimination is based on an egg recognition pheromone, neither the chemistry nor the glandular source were elucidated. To verify whether egg discrimination might be based on structural differences, we compared the ultrastructure surface of queen-laid diploid and haploid eggs to that of worker-laid eggs using SEM. Only small differences between the different types of eggs were found. Thus, at least based on the fine structure of the egg surface, queen eggs are indistinguishable from worker-laid eggs.To explore the chemosensory hypothesis for egg discrimination, we conducted a detailed comparative chemical analysis of the different egg types. The coating of all egg types was dominated by linear alkanes, but queen eggs, diploid and haploid, differed from those of workers on two accounts: 1. The diversity of compounds found on queenlaid eggs was much greater than found on worker-laid eggs, mainly due to the number of hydrocarbons. 2. Acetates of some fatty alcohols, alkenes and especially monomethylalkanes were characteristic to queen eggs. The origin of the two latter substances and the acetates is still unknown. Whether these compounds constitute the signal that enables police workers to discriminate between queen- and workerborn eggs remains to be investigated.     

Evaluation of PCDD/F congener distributions in MWI flue gas treated with SCR catalysts

Partitioning of PCDD/F congeners between gaseous and particulate phases and removal efficiencies of the air pollution control devices (APCDs) for PCDD/Fs at an existing municipal waste incinerator (MWI) in Taiwan are evaluated via stack sampling and analysis. The MWI investigated is equipped with electrostatic precipitators (EP), wet scrubbers (WS) and selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) as APCDs. The average PCDD/F concentration of stack gas is 1.49 ng/N m³, and the International Toxic Equivalent Quantity (I-TEQ) is 0.043 ng-I-TEQ/N m³. The EP increases PCDD/F concentration by 174.0% while the average removal efficiency of WS + SCR system for PCDD/Fs reaches 99.1%. In addition, the PCDF removal efficiency achieved with WS + SCR system (97.1–99.8%) is higher than that for PCDDs (96.5–99.3%). The results obtained on gas/particulate partitioning in flue gas indicate that the particulate-phase PCDD/Fs accounted for 65% at the inlet of EP, 20% at the outlet of EP and 50% at the stack, respectively, of the total PCDD/F concentrations. This study also indicates that as the chlorination level of PCDD/F congeners increases, the percentage of PCDD/Fs existing in gas phase decreases in all flue gas samples.     

热力学理论在湖泊富营养化研究中的应用

本文在分析了生态系统进化的热力学理论（最大能量、最大功率、最大优势原理）的基础上，综述了能量、功率和优势值在国内外湖泊富营养化研究中的应用，说明生态系统进化的热力学理论为认识和研究复杂的湖泊生态系统提供了整体性的途径，并指出为把热力学理论有效地用于湖泊富营养化的研究而应加强的科研工作。     

环渤海海冰弯曲强度影响因素分析

本文根据多年环渤海海冰弯曲强度试验结果，分析了诸单因子对海冰弯曲强度的影响，并给出了各海区海冰弯曲强度设计值，海冰的弯曲强度随着应力速度的增加，经过延性，过渡和脆性三个阶段，在过渡区，海冰的弯曲强度达到最大值。随冰温的降低和冰中盐水体积减少，海冰的湾曲强度增大。     

A single chorionic gonadotropin assay for maternal serum screening for Down's syndrome

A simple enzyme immunoassay measuring human chorionic gonadotropin in undiluted maternal serum has been developed in order to be used as a prenatal screening test for Down' s syndrome. A retrospective study of maternal serum sampled during pregnancies associated with trisomy 21 shows that with a 5% amniocentesis rate determined on a single test, the detection rate of trisomy 21 would be around two-thirds of the affected pregnancies. A prospective study of 9040 pregnant women under 38 years has confirmed the usefulness of the assay.     

Early prenatal sonographic appearance of rare thoraco-abdominal eventration

Fetal ventral wall malformations may be diagnosed prenatally with ultrasound. These include omphalocele, gastroschisis, or even thoracic defects with or without ectopia cordis. It is important whenever such a defect is found to carefully define the full extent of the lesion prior to parental counselling. Described and illustrated here is the prenatal diagnosis with real-time ultrasound at 17 weeks gestation of a rare thoraco-abdominal ventral wall defect including omphalocele, bifid sternum, diaphragmatic aplasia, and pericardial aplasia with incomplete ectopia cordis. The technique is described and the importance of the complete, accurate delineation of anatomic malformations is emphasized.
