Phosphorus (P) is critically needed to improve soil fertility in many parts of the world. The use of water-soluble P fertilizers, e.g., single super-phosphate and triple super-phosphate in developing countries to improve crop production has been limited primarily by their high cost. The presence of indigenous phosphate deposits in some countries provides an incentive for direct application or local chemical treatment at low cost to improve the solubility of low reactive phosphate rocks (PRs). The use of naturally occurring low-molecular weight organic acids (LMWOAs) that are produced in soil as microbial metabolites or plant exudates from dead or living cells represents a new perspective in PR research. The LMWOAs contain various functional groups that may play a significant role in PR dissolution. Little information is available, however, about the potential of LMWOAs in releasing P from PRs. This study reports P release from 12 PRs, four each of low, medium, and high reactivity, obtained from various deposits (Kodjari, Tahoua, North Carolina, Gafsa, Khouribga, Tilemsi Valley, Central Florida, Sechura, Minjingu, North Florida, Hahotoe, and Parc W) using nine LMWOAs containing mono-, di-, and tri-carboxylic groups and a mineral acid (H2SO4). Laboratory studies showed that the organic acids are effective in releasing P from low and medium reactive PRs, but very ineffective in releasing P from high reactive PRs. The average amounts of P released by all the organic acids from the three types of PRs were 65.5 mmol kg−1 PR from the low reactive PRs, 55.1 mmol kg−1 from the medium, and 11.1 mmol kg−1 from the high; those released from across all the PRs were 21.9 by the mono-carboxylic acid group, 54.2 by the di-carboxylic acid group, and 57.0 mmol P kg−1 by the tri-carboxylic acid group. The P released was negatively correlated with the equilibrium pH, but positively correlated with Ca released from the PRs. Laboratory incubation studies on the release of P from PRs added to soils with or without organic acids and incubated at 25 °C for 15, 30, and 45 days showed that the percentage of plant-available P released varied considerably from 0.95 in the Kodjari PR to 40.1% in the North Carolina PR and was related to PR reactivity. A greenhouse study with corn (Zea mays L.) grown for 60 days on soils treated with PRs or with PRs mixed with organic acids showed that corn response to addition of oxalic or citric acid varied with P rates and PR sources, suggesting that organic acids have potential as amendments for increasing plant-available P in PR-treated soils.  相似文献

通过构建RAM-SFA-RAM三阶段工业绿色全要素水资源效率测度模型,对其不同层面的效率值进行多维测度与比较分析,并利用空间Tobit模型对工业绿色全要素水资源效率的驱动机制进行实证检验.效率测度结果表明,环境因素与统计噪音是效率值计算中不可忽视的重要影响因素;全国样本的效率值在2000~2017年期间总体变化趋势是以持续上升为主,但距离理想发展状态还存在较大差距,具体阶段上可划分为“稳增期”、“振落期”和“提速期”;区域层面的检验中,东部效率具有较为显著的领先优势,而中部和东北部效率差异性相对较小,其变化曲线存在明显的“交互性”现象,西部则整体效率偏低;主要经济带的检验中,京津冀地区的工业绿色全要素水资源效率整体上要高于泛珠三角和泛长三角地区.驱动机制检验表明,基于全国样本维度的水资源禀赋、企业技术创新、用水结构和环境规制对工业绿色全要素水资源效率具有正向促进作用,而产业结构、城镇化率表现为负向抑制效应;在区域样本检验中,各影响要素在不同区域之间所呈现出的作用效果存在一定差异性,但产业结构调整、城镇化水平等应引起重视,不同区域需要依据其实际特点采取针对性的改进措施.  相似文献

于1979-2003年调查了大伙房水库理化指标,对水质变化趋势进行了研究。入库和库区水体总氮、总磷含量多年平均分别为1.61mg·l-1和0.036mg·l-1;1.23mg·l-1和0.036mg·l-1,均超过国家地表入库Ⅲ和库区Ⅱ类水质标准。库区其他17项水化指标符合国家地表水库区Ⅱ类标准。大伙房水库水体只受到轻度污染,水质等级为近Ⅱ级,属浮游植物响应型中营养水体。  相似文献

采用美国HACH公司DR/5000紫外可见分光光度计,及其专用试剂测定嘉陵江(南充段)上游、下游水样中总磷含量.测定总磷含量(以PO3-4计)适用范围(0.06 mg/L~3.50 mg/L),精密度和灵敏度较好,准确度高,标准物质的回收率都近于100%.对于样品中存在的干扰因素进行了有效的消除.简化了实验操作过程,使测试方法更加简便、快捷、试剂用量少,该方法通过美国环保局(USEPA)认可.  相似文献

本文提出了一套适合于我国中小城市大气污染总量控制研究的技术路线和模型。通过环境容量规划和污染综合治理规划的有机结合,从而达到以优化的方式协调经济发展与环境保护的矛盾。对镇江市的应用结果表明,本文提出的技术路线和模型是合理可行的。所给出的总量控制方案既能符合经济发展的需要,又能经济有效地控制并改善区域的大气环境质量。  相似文献

Haloacetic acids (HAAs) are environmental contaminants found in aquatic ecosystems throughout the world as a result of both anthropogenic and natural production. The ecological risk posed by these compounds to organisms in freshwater environments, with a specific focus on aquatic macrophytes, was characterized. The plants evaluated were Lemna gibba, Myriophyllum spicatum and M. sibiricum and the HAAs screened were monochloroacetic acid (MCA), dichloroacetic acid (DCA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA), trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and chlorodifluoroacetic acid (CDFA). Laboratory toxicity data formed the basis of the risk assessment, but field studies were also utilized. The estimated risk was calculated using hazard quotients (HQ), as well as effect measure distributions (EMD) in a modified probabilistic ecological risk assessment. EMDs were used to estimate HAA thresholds of toxicity for use in HQ assessments. This threshold was found to be a more sensitive measure of low toxicity than the no observed effect concentrations (NOEC) or the effective concentration (EC10). Using both deterministic and probabilistic methods, it was found that HAAs do not pose a significant risk to freshwater macrophytes at current environmental concentrations in Canada, Europe or Africa for both single compound and mixture exposures. Still, HAAs are generally found as mixtures and their potential interactions are not fully understood, rendering this phase of the assessment uncertain and justifying further effects characterization. TCA in some environments poses a slight risk to phytoplankton and future concentrations of TFA and CDFA are likely to increase due to their recalcitrant nature, warranting continued environmental surveillance of HAAs.  相似文献

Since volatile mold metabolites are used for the detection of mold growth in buildings, it was interesting to determine whether different indoor mold species show different affinity for the major components of wood, a common building material. Growth and volatile metabolites were studied when Aspergillus versicolor, Penicillium chrysogenum, and P. palitans were grown on laboratory substrates containing the major wood constituents cellulose, xylan and lignin. Microbial volatile organic compounds (MVOCs) were characterized by thermal desorption/gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy. Growth and volatile metabolites varied considerably and there appeared to be complementary substrate specificities for P. chrysogenum, and P. palitans grown on cellulose and xylan. The failure of A. versicolor to produce characteristic MVOCs when grown on media containing wood constituents suggests that systems using volatile metabolites to detect microbial growth in buildings may be fundamentally unreliable for the detection of this species.  相似文献
