Effective diffusion coefficients (D(e)) are usually measured by means of "through-diffusion" experiments in which steady state is reached, and the "time-lag" methods are used to estimate the apparent diffusion coefficient (D(a)). For sorbing radionuclides (as caesium), the time needed to reach steady-state conditions is very large, and the precision in D(a) determinations is not satisfactory. In this paper, a method that allows determining simultaneously effective and apparent diffusion coefficients in compacted bentonite without reaching steady-state conditions is described. Basically, this method consists of an "in-diffusion" experiment in which the concentration profile in the bentonite sample is used to estimate D(a), and the temporal evolution of the solute concentration in the reservoir is used to estimate D(e). This method has several advantages over the typical "through-diffusion" experiments, in particular: (a) experiment duration is significantly shorter, (b) D(a) values are measured with greater precision and (c) it is not necessary to maintain a constant solute concentration in the reservoir. This new method has been used to estimate the effective and apparent diffusion coefficients for caesium in FEBEX bentonite and in order to validate it, the results have been compared with results previously obtained with standard methods. Experimental results have been satisfactorily modelled using a simple model of diffusion in porewater and the measured value of D(e)(Cs) is very similar to D(e)(HTO) in the same bentonite. There is no evidence of "surface diffusion" in FEBEX bentonite for caesium.  相似文献

Fenton预处理强化污泥脱水:胞外聚合物和黏度的特性研究   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
Fenton试剂具有高效破坏污泥絮体及改善污泥生物可降解性的能力,而被视为强化污泥脱水的有效手段。对Fenton预处理强化污泥脱水过程中污泥胞外聚合物(EPS)和黏度对污泥脱水性能的影响进行了研究,污泥脱水性能采用毛细吸水时间(CST)评价。结果表明:Fenton预处理时,H_2O_2添加量和m(H_2O_2)∶m(Fe~(2+))对污泥的脱水性能有重要影响,优化的污泥脱水条件为m(H_2O_2)∶m(Fe~(2+))=1∶1,H_2O_2添加量200 mg/g(VSS);m(H_2O_2)∶m(Fe~(2+))和H_2O_2添加量对污泥中EPS分布影响显著,EPS分量分布具有明显差异,可能原因为Fenton试剂对污泥絮体结构的破坏程度不同;污泥CST与EPS分量之间基本不符合线性相关,而非线性回归随H_2O_2添加量变化相关性排序为:100>150>200>25(单位为mg/g,以单位质量VSS计);污泥黏度总体上随m(H_2O_2)∶m(Fe~(2+))的增大而增加,而随H_2O_2添加量的增加逐渐下降,污泥CST值与黏度总体上呈显著正相关。  相似文献

考察了4种污泥厌氧消化原料的流变特性,研究了原料浓度、温度以及添加餐厨垃圾等因素对污泥流变特性的影响,以期为厌氧消化工艺的设计及设备选用提供基础参数.试验结果表明,脱水污泥、脱水污泥与餐厨垃圾混合物、剩余污泥、剩余污泥与餐厨垃圾混合物4种原料均为假塑性流体,且符合幂律方程.随消化原料固体浓度由1%增至10%,原料黏度升高.剩余污泥和剩余污泥与餐厨垃圾混合物在TS=3%时流变指数最大,而脱水污泥和脱水污泥与餐厨垃圾混合物在TS=5%时流变指数最大.添加餐厨垃圾可以改善污泥的流变特性,使得混合液的流变指数较纯污泥有不同程度的升高,使其更接近牛顿流体.随着温度由15℃升高到55℃,4种原料的黏度呈线性趋势降低,流变指数则逐渐升高,其中脱水污泥的黏度对温度变化最为敏感.  相似文献

通过对沈阳市皇姑区内的3个垃圾排放点进行实地采样并分类称量,得出其组分含量,得到了生活垃圾的主要物料组份.在此基础上在外加热固定床式热解试验台上,用热解实验的方法对8种城市生活垃圾中的主要物料中的典型成分进行热解试验.通过数据分析总结出不同工况下产气特性和热解气体的组分含量、热值,并建立热解气体析出模型进行产气量预测.  相似文献

To reduce excess sludge, a Tubificidae reactor was combined with an integrated oxidation ditch with vertical circle (IODVC), and a new integrated system was developed for wastewater treatment. A pilot-scale of this integrated system was tested to investigate the sludge reduction with Tubificidae and the impact on effluent quality and sludge production. The dominant worm was Branchnria Sowerbyi in the Tubificidae reactor after inoculation of Branchnria Sowerbyi and Limnodrilns sp., and the maximal volume density of wet Tubificidae in vessels of the Tubificidae reactor was 17600 g/m3. Two operational modes, treating the excess sludge (first mode) and the returned sludge (second mode) of IODVC by the Tubificidae reactor, were used in this experiment. The results showed that the excess sludge reduction rate was 46.4% in the first mode, and the average sludge yield of the integrated system was 6.19×10-5 kg SS/kg COD in the second mode. Though the sludge returned to IODVC via the Tubificidae reactor, it had little impact on the effluent quality and the sludge characteristics of the IODVC. No new type of recalcitrant substance in the supernatant was discharged into the environment when the sludge was treated by Tubificidae. The experimental results also indicated that no significant changes occurred on the viscosity, specific resistance, and the floc size distribution of the sludge.  相似文献

Rheology of Lyocell Solutions from Different Cellulose Sources   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Rheological measurements were used to characterize the behavior of lyocell solutions, i.e., cellulose dissolved in N-methymorpholine-N-oxide. Cellulose sources included dissolving pulp, kraft pulp, sugar cane fibers, and kenaf fibers. The dominance of viscous behavior, G values, over elastic behavior, G values, is affected by cellulose concentration and molecular weight. At lower concentrations and degrees of polymerization (DP), dissolving pulp solutions show viscous, inelastic behavior at low frequencies. At higher concentration and DP, dissolving pulp solutions are more elastic at higher frequencies. Solutions prepared with kenaf and sugar cane fibers show similar properties to those using pure dissolving pulp, and comparisons suggest the molecular weight and/or the presence of other substances such as lignin in the cellulose from these alternative sources affect the rheology.  相似文献

弄清垃圾灰渣的熔融特性对于保证生活垃圾的气化熔融与液态出渣具有重要作用。针对重庆生活垃圾灰与无烟煤灰形成的灰渣,实验研究了在不同的燃料添加量及添加剂条件下灰渣的熔点与粘度,并结合炉温的变化,分析了不同条件对灰渣熔融及液态出渣的影响。结果表明,灰渣的熔点与粘度均随燃料添加量的增加而升高;向燃料比为10%的灰渣中加入添加剂后,灰渣的熔点降低幅度较小,其粘度却随碱度的增加而增大以至熔渣流动性变差;燃料比为40%时,灰渣熔点与粘度均随添加剂的加入而显著降低,且向渣中加入CaO使得灰渣碱度为1.2时灰渣熔点较低且粘度较小,有利于其熔融与液态出渣。  相似文献

餐厨垃圾厌氧消化(Anaerobic digestion,AD)系统中含有大量具有表面活性的物质,这些物质的存在会改变厌氧消化污泥的表面张力及发泡潜能,甚至诱发严重的泡沫现象.了解这些物质对污泥表面性质和发泡潜能的影响,对预防厌氧消化系统泡沫的产生和过程恢复具有重要意义.因此,本文以餐厨垃圾中温厌氧消化污泥为研究对象,分别考察不同浓度的底物和中间代谢产物的单组分及其组合对污泥表面张力、黏度、发泡趋势(Foam tendency,FT)和泡沫稳定性(Foam stability,FS)的影响.结果表明,污泥的表面张力、黏度与污泥的发泡趋势、泡沫稳定性之间并没有一致的相关性,确定污泥发泡潜能的最佳方法是测定污泥的发泡趋势和泡沫稳定性.在餐厨垃圾厌氧消化反应体系中,油酸和明胶可以大幅提高污泥的发泡趋势和泡沫稳定性,因此,认为这两种物质的存在是潜在的主要泡沫诱发因子.玉米油的存在能够降低污泥的表面张力和发泡趋势,可能对系统产生的泡沫具有抑制作用.乙酸、淀粉、蛋白胨也能提高污泥发泡趋势,但却不能强化污泥的泡沫稳定性.研究结论可以为实际工程提供理论支撑,并为餐厨垃圾厌氧消化遇到泡沫问题提供解决思路.  相似文献

In an attempt to improve the technique of automatic sorting of lightweight metal scrap by sensing apparent density and three-dimensional shape, realized by the combination of a three-dimensional (3D) imaging camera and a meter to weigh a moving object on a conveyor belt, neural network analysis was integrated into the scrap identification algorithm, and its effect on the sorting accuracy of this technique was examined using approximately 1750 pieces of scrap sampled at three different end-of-life vehicle (ELV) shredder facilities. As a result, the newly developed algorithm, in which an unknown fragment is identified by passing through two discriminant analyses and one neural network analysis, was demonstrated to greatly decrease the time required for data analysis to prepare the identification algorithm without reducing the sorting accuracy. The average sorting accuracy for a mixture of three types of lightweight metal fragments was found to be 85%, based on the fact that the fist-sized fragments of cast aluminum, wrought aluminum, and magnesium sampled at the three ELV shredder facilities had similar apparent densities and 3D shapes. It was also suggested that still higher sorting performance is possible by repeating the procedure of modifying the database and re-learning of the neural network in the identification algorithm.  相似文献
