Stream-bed sediment samples were collected in 2001 and 2004 along the Fratta-Gorzone River (Italy) to assess the level of heavy metal contamination. The river stretch most affected by discharges of tannery effluent showed total and pseudo-total Cr levels (up to 2,860 mg/kg) that greatly exceed national and international chemical sediment quality standards. The most contaminated section of the river bed is located downstream of the main industrial discharge. However, a large fraction of the Cr present in the sediment appears to be of lithogenic origin. At most sites, more than 50% of Cr is not soluble in aqua-regia and thus unlikely to be very mobile or easily bio-available. A negligible risk to the benthic community can be inferred for Pb, Zn, Cd, Cu and Ni. This work highlights the limitation of using existing chemical sediment quality standards alone for risk assessment. The collection and analysis of suspended solids, the determination of river discharge and of dissolved Cr at 10 field stations allowed to estimate the particulate and dissolved Cr load and to locate the river stretch that was the likely source of contaminated sediment. The pumping of dilution water from the Adige River into the Fratta-Gorzone River did not produce the expected contaminant dilution effect due to re-suspension of contaminated solid particles and the release of Cr in solution.  相似文献

Wastewater pollution in industrial areas is one of the most important environmental problems. Heavy metal pollution, especially chromium pollution in wastewater sources from dyeing and tannery has affected the life on earth. This pollution can affect all ecosystems and human health directly or by food chain. Therefore, the determination of chromium in this study is of great importance. Dil Creek is located in the eastern Marmara region and discharges into the Izmit Gulf. This water source is used for irrigation in agriculture and as drinking water for animals. In this study, a rapid, sensitive and selective method for the speciative direct determination of Cr (III) and Cr (VI) in dyeing waste water samples collected from the nearest station to Izmit Gulf of Dil Creek in May 2006 by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) has been developed. An analysis of a given sample is completed in about 15 min for ICP-AES the method. As the result of the chromium analysis, the limit of quantification (LOQ) for the Cr (III), Cr (VI) and total Cr were founded as 0.0111 ± 0.0002 mg/l (RSD, 1.80%), 0.0592 ± 0.0010 mg/l (RSD, 1.70%) and 0.0703 ± 0.0020 mg/l (RSD, 2.84%) respectively. In addition, the general mathematical formula has been developed to calculate the concentration of Cr(III), which can be applied to any other metal species. The result of Cr (VI) analysis indicated that water quality of Creek was IV. class quality according to the inland water classification. In order to validate the applied method, recovery studies were performed.  相似文献

Contamination of industrial sites by wood preservatives such as chromated copper arsenate (CCA) may pose a serious threat to groundwater quality. The objective of this study was to characterise the spatial variability of As and Cr concentrations in the solid phase and in the soil water at a former wood impregnation plant and to reveal the fundamental transport processes. The soil was sampled down to a depth of 2m. The soil water was extracted in situ from the vadose zone over a period of 10 months at depths of 1 and 1.5m, using large horizontally installed suction tubes. Groundwater was sampled from a depth of 4.5m. Results showed that arsenic and chromium had accumulated in the upper region of the profile and exhibited a high spatial variability (As: 21-621 mg kg(-1); Cr: 74-2872 mg kg(-1)). Concentrations in the soil water were high (mean As 167 microg L(-1); Cr: 62 microg L(-1)) and also showed a distinct spatial variability, covering concentration ranges up to three orders of magnitude. The variability was caused by the severe water-repellency of the surface soil, induced by the concurrent application of creosote wood preservatives, which leads to strong preferential flow as evident from a dye experiment. In contrast to soil water concentrations, only low As concentrations (<12 microg L(-1)) were detected in the groundwater. High Cr concentrations in the groundwater (approx. 300 microg L(-1)), however, illustrated the pronounced mobility of chromium. Our study shows that at sites with a heterogeneous flow system in the vadose zone a disparity between flux-averaged and volume-averaged concentrations may occur, and sampling of soil water might not be adequate for assessing groundwater concentrations. In these cases long-term monitoring of the groundwater appears to be the best strategy for a groundwater risk assessment.  相似文献

通过批实验研究了Al(III)对糖浆溶液化学还原六价铬反应的影响,揭示了不同条件下Al(III)对六价铬还原反应动力学的影响.结果表明:Al(III)能够促进糖浆溶液还原六价铬反应进行;其作用机制是Al(III)与糖浆溶液中有机还原物质及Cr(VI)反应形成三者的络合物,降低糖浆中多酚等有机还原物质还原Cr(VI)的反应活化能,提高六价铬还原反应速率.Al(III)存在时,该六价铬还原反应符合准一级动力学反应; pH 2.0,2.5,3.0,3.5时,添加Al(III)的实验组中六价铬反应速率常数比对应的空白对照组中反应速率常数分别增加了0.0251,0.0139,0.0058, 0.0048h-1.添加Al(III)前后反应体系中六价铬还原的反应活化能(Eа)分别为66.38,62.80kJ/mol.当糖浆浓度不足时,Al(III)能够提高糖浆溶液还原六价铬的反应去除率.  相似文献

对空气-乙炔火焰原子吸收法测铬(Cr)时共存元素对其测定结果的干扰进行研究。结果表明,当ρ(共存元素)/ρ(Cr)100时,Mg、Co、Al、V、Ni、Fe、Na、Ca对Cr测定有影响,而K、Mn、Zn、Mo、Pb、Si、Cu均不影响Cr的测定;当ρ(共存元素)/ρ(Cr)为10和30时,加入1%HNO_3和2%NH_4Cl可消除干扰;当ρ(共存元素)/ρ(Cr)30时,加入5%HCl和超过1%的NH_4Cl可消除干扰;5%HCl作为介质消除Cr测定干扰的效果要优于1%HNO_3介质。  相似文献

实验研究了不同pH值,温度和六价铬初始浓度等条件对没食子酸还原六价铬的反应动力学的影响,分别建立六价铬还原反应速率常数关于氢离子浓度和温度的函数方程.结果表明:pH值 为2.0~5.0时,没食子酸与六价铬发生的氧化还原反应符合准一级动力学反应;而pH值为6时,因[H+]不足,二者的反应不符合准一级动力学反应.在pH值为2.0~5.0时,六价铬反应速率常数(103kobs)分别是是951.6、103.6、17.3和7.5h-1.pH值 为2.5时,温度升高,反应速率常数快速增加;温度为30℃时,没食子酸还原六价铬的反应速率常数分别是温度为20℃和10℃时反应速率常数的1.61倍和3.68倍.不同初始浓度六价铬的反应体系中,六价铬反应速率常数随着反应体系中六价铬与没食子酸初始浓度比值的增加而逐渐减小.利用最小二乘线性回归法和阿伦尼乌斯公式分别建立了六价铬还原反应速率常数关于氢离子浓度和温度的函数方程,为预测和分析没食子酸还原六价铬反应过程中六价铬的反应速率常数和浓度变化情况提供动力学模型参考.  相似文献

通过试验测定了长沙铬盐厂铬盐废渣的性质。正交试验研究得出了以硫酸铵[(NH4)2SO4]为解毒剂的铬渣干法解毒最佳工艺。即以粒径为75μm铬渣与加入量为13.3%(质量百分比)、粒径为427μm的硫酸铵混合均匀,于500℃急速加热30min、闭炉门冷却,解毒处理效率达96.41%。  相似文献

Cr(VI)-based compounds pollution have attracted global concern due to serious harm to humans and environment. Hence, it is crucial to exploit an effective technique to eliminate Cr(VI) in water. Herein, we in-situ grown BiOI on graphitic carbon nitride to prepare the BiOI/g-C3N4 (BCN) direct Z-scheme heterojunction by solid phase engineering method at room temperature. Experimental result shown the photocatalytic activity of pure BiOI were obviously enhanced by constructing Z-scheme BCN heterostructure, and BCN-3 heterostructure exhibited the optimal photocatalytic degradation of RhB with 98%yield for 2.5 h and reduction of Cr(VI) with more than 99%yield for 1.5 h at pH=2. Stability test shows BCN-3 still kept more than 98%reduction efficiency after 6 cycles. In addition, we also studied the reduction mechanism that shown the ·O2-radicals essentially helped to reduce the Cr(VI) in aqueous solution under illumination, verified the direct Z-scheme charge transfer path by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the free radical trapping experiment. The work open a new way for rationally designing photo-catalyst heterostructure to reduce Cr(VI) to Cr(III).  相似文献

在铀尾矿地区,溶解态U(Ⅵ)渗漏到含水层中会对周围环境造成严重的威胁.使用反应运移软件PHT3D对U(Ⅵ)在含水层中的迁移和吸附过程进行模拟.结果表明,相比于不考虑吸附情形,考虑吸附的U(Ⅵ)反应迁移阻滞现象明显.线性和Langmuir吸附等温线模型在水动力条件复杂、地球化学条件多变时的模拟效果与表面络合模型相比较差,甚至有时得到与实际相反的结果,这说明了传统Kd吸附经验模型的局限性.由表面络合模型计算得出的分配系数Kd值是时空变化的,其更能反映实际中多变水化学条件下的吸附过程,适合描述复杂的不同水文地球化学条件.  相似文献

在H_3PO_4介质中,M_n(Ⅱ)存在下二安替比林苯基甲烷与铬(Ⅵ)生成桔黄色产物,而其λ_(max)为480nm,ε为6.2×10~5L·mol~(-1)cm~(-1),在此处试剂基本上无吸收。Cr(Ⅵ)量在0.5~2.0(μg/25ml)符合比耳定律。稳定时间长,灵敏度高。用于测定水中总铬获得满意的结果。  相似文献
