An important aspect of present global energy scenarios is the assumption that the amount of biomass that can be grown on the
available area is so limited that a scenario based on biomass as the major source of energy should be unrealistic. We have
been investigating the question whether a Biomass Scenario may be realistic. We found that the global energy demand projected
by the International Energy Agency in the Reference Scenario for the year 2030 could be provided sustainably and economically
primarily from lignocellulosic biomass grown on areas which have been degraded by human activities in historical times. Moreover,
other renewable energies will contribute to the energy mix. There would be no competition with increasing food demand for
existing arable land. Afforestation of degraded areas and investment for energy and fuel usage of the biomass are not more
expensive than investment in energy infrastructure necessary up to 2030 assumed in the fossil energy based Reference Scenario,
probably much cheaper considering the additional advantages such as stopping the increase of and even slowly reducing the
CO2 content of the atmosphere, soil, and water conservation and desertification control. Most importantly, investment for a Biomass
Scenario would be actually sustainable, in contrast to investment in energy-supply infrastructure of the Reference Scenario.
Methods of afforestation of degraded areas, cultivation, and energetic usage of lignocellulosic biomass are available but
have to be further improved. Afforestation can be started immediately, has an impact in some few years, and may be realized
in some decades.

利用TCBS培养基从三种海藻:孔石莼(Ulva pertusa)、海带苗(Laminaria japonica)和多管藻(Polysiphonia urceolata)表面共分离得到10株细菌.生理生化试验和gyrB基因序列分析结果表明10株细菌都属于弧菌(Vibrio).基于gyrB基因序列构建的系统发生树显示,菌株L5、L6、P7、P8、P10、P11、P12与Vibrio splendidus属于同一分支,序列间相似性为97.5-100%.菌株L4、P9与Vibrio cyclitrophicus属于同一分支,序列间完全一致.菌株U3在系统发生树上独立构成一个分支.本文结果表明不同海藻表面的附着细菌组成也不相同,具有一定的海藻特异性. 相似文献

We address the future of science and governance for the California Delta, focusing on the CALFED Bay-Delta Program, an interagency, multi-stakeholder effort to understand and manage the Delta for multiple purposes. We portray a Delta history as a coevolutionary process between science, governance and ecosystems. Global integrated environmental assessments (IEA) provide insights into understanding complex, dynamic socio-ecological systems. Many of the discursive stakeholder and scientific activities that have arisen under CALFED are similar to IEA and remain essential to the shared learning needed to effectively interact with a dynamic Delta. More deliberately enmeshing environmental monitoring, analysis, and collective learning into Delta governance will improve outcomes. 相似文献

French and European incentives, such as Plan Ecophyto 2018, European directive for a sustainable use of pesticides, reinforce the requirement for vine-growers to engage in more environmentally friendly farming practices. In this respect, this paper presenting the results of a large questionnaire survey conducted in Bordeaux area vineyards and focusing on the behaviour of their vine-growers towards environmental innovations is particularly adequate. Founding that the most important environmental issue in vineyards relates to the use of pesticides, the paper characterizes the main economic and cognitive factors determining vine-growers' environmental innovations. It allows determining possible policies milestones, efficient and feasible, towards a more environmentally friendly vineyard.
