Increasing energy consumption in the transportation sector results in challenging greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and environmental problems. This paper involved integrated assessments on GHG emissions and emergy of the life cycle for the internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric automobiles in the USA over the entire assumed fifteen-year lifetime. The hotspots of GHG emissions as well as emergy indices for the major processes of automobile life cycle within the defined system boundaries have been investigated. The potential strategies for reducing GHG emissions and emergy in the life cycle of both ICE and electric automobiles were further proposed. Based on the current results, the total GHG emissions from the life cycle of ICE automobiles are 4.48E + 07 kg CO2-e which is 320 times higher than that of the electric automobiles. The hotspot area of the GHG emissions from ICE and electric automobiles are operation phase and manufacturing process, respectively. Interesting results were observed that comparable total emergy of the ICE automobiles and electric automobiles have been calculated which were 1.54E + 17 and 2.20E + 17 sej, respectively. Analysis on emergy index evidenced a better environmental sustainability of electric automobiles than ICE automobiles over the life cycle due to its higher ESI. To the authors’ knowledge, it is the first time to integrate the analysis of GHG emissions together with emergy in industrial area of automobile engineering. It is expected that the integration of emergy and GHG emissions analysis may provide a comprehensive perspective on eco-industrial sustainability of automobile engineering.  相似文献

我国煤炭地下开采占全部产量的 96 % ,含瓦斯煤层多 ,高瓦斯矿井和突出矿井占矿井总数的4 4 % ,由瓦斯引发的爆炸事故的伤亡人数占全部矿井事故伤亡总数的 6 5 %。针对我国煤矿安全生产的严峻形势 ,笔者在对瓦斯爆炸事故特性进行分析的基础上 ,应用混沌理论对瓦斯爆炸事故的风险以及控制方法进行初步探讨 ,初步建立了瓦斯爆炸事故混沌特性分析模型 ,对预防和控制瓦斯爆炸事故的发生 ,改善矿井安全生产状况具有指导意义。  相似文献

A mathematical model is proposed which allows the prediction of the contour, for a given concentration, of a plume caused by a release into the atmosphere of substances either heavier or lighter than air. The application of the model to different cases has given results close to those obtained from other models. Fenamidone is an imidazolinone fungicide recently introduced in viticulture practices. This work reports the validation and assessment of global uncertainty of a gas chromatographic with mass spectrometry method to analyze fenamidone in grapes and wines. This method consists in a simple and fast liquid-liquid extraction step followed by chromatographic determination. Limits of detection for fenamidone in grapes and wines were, respectively, 0.05 mg/kg and 0.06 mg/L, precision was below 9.4% and average recovery was 89 ± 5%. In the concentration range from 0.05 to 1.00 mg/kg (or mg/L) of fenamidone, global uncertainty calculated following the EURACHEM/CITAC rules, and also by the Horwitz function, was below 25%. The EURACHEM/CITAC global uncertainty budget used gave lower estimates than those obtained from the Horwitz function.  相似文献

The importance of quality control procedures to the collection of pesticide residue data is discussed. The equipment requirements of an adequate, safe pesticide residue laboratory are presented. 建立了顶空固相微萃取-气相色谱质谱法定性定量检测水中苯甲醚的分析方法。对影响检测结果的因素如萃取头的选择、萃取时间等进行了优化。经过条件优化,方法在1~1 000 μg/L 范围内线性良好,线性相关系数>0.999,实际水样加标质量浓度分别为10,60,300 μg/L时,加标回收率为85%~120%,相对标准偏差(RSD)为3.95%~6.72%。全扫描模式下,苯甲醚的检出限为0.3 μg/L。实验结果表明,该方法快速、简便、灵敏度高,方法精密度和准确度均能满足水中微量及痕量苯甲醚检测的要求。  相似文献

Coal production globally is projected to grow in the foreseeable future. Countries with heavy reliance on coal could reduce methane and other emissions through the capture and utilization of coal mine methane (CMM) in the short and medium term, while they pursue structural and long-term economic changes. Several countries have successfully implemented policies to promote CMM capture and utilization; however, some countries still struggle to implement projects. This paper outlines key factors to consider in adapting policies for CMM mitigation. The authors propose an approach for selecting adequate mechanisms for stimulating CMM mitigation that involves reviewing global best practices and categorizing them functionally either as mechanisms needed to improve the underlying conditions or as CMM-specific policies. It is important to understand local policy frameworks and to consider whether it is more feasible to improve underlying policy conditions or to provide targeted incentives as an interim measure.Using Kazakhstan as a case study, the authors demonstrate how policymakers could assess the overall policy framework to find the most promising options to facilitate CMM projects. Kazakhstan’s emissions from underground coal mines have been increasing both in total and per tonne of coal production, while overall production has been declining. CMM mitigation presents an opportunity for the country to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in the near and medium term, while the government pursues sustainable development goals. Analysis shows that policymakers in Kazakhstan can leverage existing policies to stimulate utilization by extending feed-in tariffs to cover CMM and by developing working methodologies for companies to obtain emission reduction credits from CMM projects.  相似文献
