This study evaluated the feasibility of integrating amorphous magnesite and bentonite clay (composite) as an alternative technology for removing arsenic from industrial effluents. The removal of arsenic from industrial effluents by using magnesite–bentonite clay composite was carried out in batch mode. The effects of equilibration time, adsorbent dosage, adsorbate concentration, and pH on removal of arsenic were investigated. The experiments demonstrated that ≈100% arsenic removal is optimum at 30 minutes of agitation, 2 g of adsorbent dosage (2 g: 100 mL, S/L ratio), and 20 mg L?1 of arsenic concentration. The adsorption data fitted well to both Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models, hence proving monolayer and multilayer adsorption. The kinetic studies revealed that the data fitted better to a pseudo-second-order reaction than to a pseudo-first-order reaction, hence proving chemisorption. At optimized conditions, the composite was able to remove arsenic to below World Health Organization water quality guidelines, hence depicting that the composite is effective and efficient in removing arsenic from contaminated water. Based on that, this comparative study proves that the composite is a promising adsorbent with high adsorption capacity for arsenic and can be a suitable substitute for the conventional treatment methods.  相似文献

采用膨润土为载体,KHCO3为前驱物通过喷雾-干燥法制成固体碳酸钾吸收剂,制成的固体吸收剂粒径大小为0.5—2.0 mm,密度为1.73 g.mL-1.通过K2CO3负载量、吸收温度、吸收时间、床层纵横比等因素考察固体吸收剂对CO2气体的吸收效率及循环反应特性.分析碳酸钾吸收剂对CO2的吸收机理,并与以碳酸氢钠为前驱物制备的吸收剂进行对比,比较两种吸收剂对CO2吸收效果的差异性.通过XRD测试吸收剂吸收反应前后组成的变化,BET多点法测试吸收剂比表面积,扫描电镜观察吸收剂表面形态特征.结果表明,碳酸钾吸收剂和碳酸钠吸收剂对CO2气体均具有较高的吸收量,相比而言碳酸钾吸收剂的碳酸化反应速率较快,而且经过多次循环反应后吸收效果未发生衰减,在60℃—80℃范围内,碳酸钾吸收剂对CO2的吸收能力最佳.  相似文献

以溶胶-凝胶法、液相沉淀法和机械混合法制备了Cu-Fe双金属掺杂的TiO2/膨润土复合光催化剂,采用XRD、FTIR对其进行了结构表征,以紫外光和可见光催化降解直接天蓝染料废水为模型,考察了制备方法对催化剂光催化性能的影响。结果表明:各催化剂中均有锐钛矿型TiO2生成,且部分TiO2进入了膨润土的蒙脱石层间,改变了其层间的有序性,生成了Ti—O—Si键,实现了TiO2粒子与膨润土的复合。溶胶-凝胶法制备的催化剂中TiO2与膨润土的复合程度最高,Cu2+和Fe3+成功掺入了TiO2晶格,形成了复合半导体,拓宽了TiO2的光谱响应范围,使该催化剂表现出最优的光催化活性,并且该催化剂性能稳定,易于沉降分离,经高温活化再生后仍具有良好的催化活性,可重复多次使用,表现出良好的再生性能。  相似文献

将壳聚糖与膨润土结合,研制出一种复合吸附剂,并用于溶液中Cu2 的脱除,取得很好的效果,脱除率达到70%以上.通过X-射线衍射实验研究了改性膨润土的结构和改性机理.结果表明,膨润土的片状层结构未发生变化,壳聚糖仅吸附在膨润土的内外表面.该吸附剂具有投药量少、稳定性高、操作简单、无再次污染等优点.  相似文献

以钠基膨润土为原料,制备了4种二氧化钛(TiO2)改性柱撑膨润土,并探讨了膨润土的改性方法、投土量、吸附时间、温度及pH值等因素对吸附副品红性能的影响。结果表明:4种TiO2改性柱撑膨润土对副品红的吸附效果明显好于原土;未经煅烧的TiO2改性柱撑膨润土的吸附效果要明显优于经高温煅烧过的柱撑膨润土;掺杂钇的TiO2改性柱撑膨润土的吸附性能略好于未经掺杂的柱撑膨润土;膨润土投土量、吸附时间、温度和pH值均会对柱撑膨润土的吸附效果产生影响;20℃时,4种柱撑膨润土对溶液中副品红的吸附等温线均符合Langrnuir吸附等温方程。  相似文献

To further elucidate interaction of nitroaromatic compounds with mineral surface, the sorption of m-dinitrobenzene (m-DNB) and nitrobenzene to original bentonite in aqueous solution containing di erent electrolytes (i.e., KCl, NH4Cl, CaCl2 and Tetramethylammonium bromide (TMAB)) was studied. The sorption of m-DNB was greatly enhanced with the presence of KCl and NH4Cl, while little influence was observed with CaCl2 and TMAB, following the order of KCl > NH4Cl TMAB, CaCl2, or DI water. For nitrobenzene, sorption enhancement only occurred at high nitrobenzene concentrations in the presence of KCl, and the solute equilibrium concentration at inflexion point was lowered with increasing KCl concentration. These sorption enhancements were significantly promoted with the increase of electrolyte concentration. The salting-out e ect is insu cient to account for the sorption enhancement by original bentonite with increasing KCl or NH4Cl concentration. X-ray di raction patterns of bentonite suspensions indicated that the sorption enhancement of m-DNB was attributed to the intercalation of K+ or NH4 + into bentonite interlayer and then dehydration with m-DNB to form inner-sphere complexes, which caused previously expanded bentonite interlayers to collapse in aqueous suspension, thus further enhanced the interaction of phenyl with siloxane surface. In comparison, the sorption enhancement of NB is attributed to the formation of outer-sphere complexes with K+ at high solute-loadings (> 200–400 mg/kg). The sorption of m-DNB to initially modified TMA+-bentonite and K+-bentonite was almost the same as respective sorption to original bentonite in solution containing TMA+ and K+.  相似文献

广丰县李家膨润土矿床赋存于白垩系上统南雄组第二岩性段酸性火山岩的顶底部.膨润土的主要矿物成分为蒙脱石,矿石结构构造与成矿原岩有关.矿石化学成分与酸性熔岩相近,矿体形态及空问分布受酸性熔岩流相带的控制.因此认为,膨润土矿床成矿原岩为酸性玻质熔岩,矿床是由酸性玻璃质熔岩经水解脱玻化而形成,其成因类型为风化淋滤蚀变岩型矿床.膨润土可自然改型,由原来的钠基膨润土改型成钙基膨润土和偏镁的钙基膨润土.对时代较新的酸性火山岩,在玻质熔岩发育处都有可能找到有利用价值的膨润土矿.由于膨润土常由珍珠岩、沸石脱玻化形成,三者常共生出现,是很好的找矿标志.  相似文献

用溴化十六烷基三甲铵(CTMAB)改性膨润土,研究了CTMAB膨润土去除水中苯、甲苯、乙苯、硝基苯、苯胺、苯酚、对硝基苯酚的性能、机理及影响因素。结果表明,CTMAB-膨润土去除水中有机物的能力远大于原土;CTMAB-膨润土对苯、甲苯、乙苯的等温吸附曲线呈线性;对水中苯酚、对硝基苯酚的等温吸附曲线呈非线性;对苯胺、硝基苯的等温吸附曲线基本呈线性。CTMAB-膨润土吸附水中有机物的性能及机理与有机物的水溶性或辛醇-水分配系数有关。  相似文献

Excess fungicides can pose a serious threat to the soil environment. Fungicides can lower the microbiological and biochemical activity of soil and lead to yield declines. Soils contaminated with fungicides have to be remediated to maintain the optimal function of soil ecosystems. This study evaluates the effect of neutralizing substances on soil enzymatic activity and the yield of Triticum aestivum L. in soil contaminated with fungicides. Sandy loam (Eutric Cambisols) with pHKCl 7.0 was contaminated with an aqueous solution of Amistar 250 SC and Falcon 460 EC in the following doses: 0 (soil without fungicide – treated as a control), RD (dose recommended by the manufacturer) and 300?×?RD (dose 300-fold higher than the recommended dose). Soil was supplemented with bentonite and basalt meal at a dose of 10?g kg?1 DM of soil (dry mass of soil). The fungicide dose recommended by the manufacturer did not induce changes in soil enzymatic activity or the yield of T. aestivum L. Our findings indicate that the tested fungicides can be safely applied to protect crops against fungal pathogens. However, when applied at the dose of 300?×?RD, the tested fungicides strongly inhibited soil enzymatic activity and disrupted the growth and development of spring wheat. Soil supplementation with bentonite and basalt meal improved the yield of T. aestivum L., and bentonite was more effective in reducing fungicide stress. The analyzed substances were not highly effective in restoring biochemical homeostasis in soil.  相似文献
